Great spot for after theatre wine and dine. Not at all pretentious, good service and an okay wine selection. Reasonably priced.

We were going to see Phantom of the Opera and didn't have time for dinner before so we went into Sardi's to make a reservation for late dinner after the show. The staff made us feel very welcome. We were pleased to see on the menu appetizer portions of their pastas -just the size we wanted at 1100 at night.... More

Since college in the 1960s Sardi's has been known as the retaurant in the theater district. My wife and I were staying two blocks away. We went there on a Saturday night without a reservation but wisely chose a time when the shows were in performance. No problem getting in. We ate light - my wife had the seafood cobb... More

Its really nice to dine in a place that is obviously well known, and maybe a bit touristy....However, the food was great, the service was excellent, and the tradition that the restaurant commands make it a "must see" on any trip to New York.

Sardi's is open late for theatre goers to grab a bite to eat after attending a show. It's a real treat to see all the pictures of celebrities that line the walls. The food is good, if a little pricey.

We treated our 30-something daughter and her equally as young friend to a delightful dinner at Sardis. We haven't been for over ten years and were not sure the "youngsters" would enjoy it as much as we have in the past...NO problem. A delightful serving staff and a better than average dinner made for a special treat!

We all of a certain age remember "Sardis" getting a mention in a certain song and the interior reminds us of wonderful times past. The setting is olde world and the waiting staff wonderful with great italian comfort food to enjoy, plus doesn't table linen make all the difference when dining out. The upstairs cocktail bar is fabulous before or... More

The big challenge is separating the history from the delivery. I admit I expected more. The food was good, and the atmosphere was fun/interesting for this historical, Manhattan spot. However, the wait staff don't know the wine list, and otherwise are not enthusiastic. Don't blow your wallet on the dinner prices; just have lunch to say you've been there.
