We were going to see a show just up the street from here, so decided to check it out. The vegetarian options were limited, but what we ate was very good, and the service was excellent - we told our waiter we were in a bit of a rush and he pushed our order through quicker. The decor is... unique,... More

Visited July 2, 2014 Sardi's, Manhattan, N.Y. with its famous caricatures of movie stars covering the walls, was the only part of the Sardi experience that could be recommended. The signature hamburger and cheesecake were definitely not up to the hype that preceded it. Service was slow and mediocre. Not a memorable experience.

Being a big fan of theatre I had always wanted to go to Sardis and see a broadway show. The waiter was absolutely horrible. He kept me waiting about half an hour for a soda I had to ask for multiple times. He also disappeared for long periods of time. The food was over priced for the quality $19 for... More

Ok, so a member of our party wanted to dine here because, well, it is famous and has history. I suspected the food would not be good, but it was worse than I imagined. Ordered for 3: Plate of Penne Pasta; Chopped Salad; Romaine Cesear (sp?)Salad; Wine. Pasta was ok; Chopped salad incredibly bland mostly iceburg lettuce, and the Ceazar... More

The proximity to Times Square and Theatre District makes Sardi's most attractive for pre or post theatre dining. Loved the energetic atmosphere and caricatures on the walls. This would not be a quiet, romantic dining spot, but enjoyable in its own right. Our female server was quick and adequate, but not much personality. We sat at a corner table with... More

We didn't have reservations, but got seated right away. We saw & spoke with Joan Rivers as she was leaving & we were coming into the restaurant. The food was great. The atmosphere was reminiscent of the classic days of broadway. Our wait staff was friendly - he was from Tennessee and was full of information for us on where... More

Came here after seeing a play and got the prix fix menu. My first thought, as I walked into the entrance with bits of paper around, is that the place needs a major update. Our waiter was very nice, making suggestions etc... I got the smoked salmon plate, that came with smoked salmon, capers, onions and toast. It was good... More

Sardi's is kind of a New York must..it is rather iconic as being in several movies and shows and visited by TV,movie, and theatre actors. The walls are covered with hundreds (upstairs too) of celebrity caricatures...some very realistic and others exagerated and funny. It is fun to try and spot who is who and see if you can figure other... More

I took a group of 130 people for dinner. We all arrived via bus at the same time. Wonderful place to take out of town guests. It has such a NY vibe. The food was great. The waiters were fast and efficient. Sean was such a please to work with! They pulled through in every aspect!! Highly recommend!!

We went on Saturday, 11.45 am booking, before a show at 2pm. I thought this may have been a little early but upon entering the packed restaurant and saw the queues of people trying to get in, quickly realised it had been the right decision. Great atmosphere, snappy, efficient service and we loved the food. Yes, it's old fashioned but... More
