After Show Supper

We visited Sardi's on a Sunday evening after a matinee performance because we had heard about it (features in The Producers which we are doing in our local amdram group). Service was good and helpful; the waitress advised me to order a half portion as portions come large and she was absolutely... read more

This was our third visit to Sardi's - this time for a pre-theatre dinner, and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the service first-class.We were seated up-stairs this time round, and there was plenty of room between tables. A great experience for First-Time visitors, and consistently good for return visits - and it's right in the middle... More

We booked to go to Sardi's before see Les Mis on Broadway. The food was very bland, I've had much better meals elsewhere and paid 10% of the price. I have a gluten intolerance so asked the waiter nicely if they had an alternative menu or could let me know what I would be able to eat. There was no... More

We were looking forward to experiencing Sardi's - unfortunately the experience was really bad. The food was nice. Average and nothing special - but nice. No different to any other restaurant. However the staff here are the rudest, most unwelcoming people ever. The maitre'd didn't once make eye contact or welcome us, he communicated through head gestures and grunts. The... More

We have been at Sardi's after a Broadway show. Although we had reservations, arrived on time and were being expected, it seemed people were not very pleased to have us there, considering the late hours. Slow service, not attentive. The place is nice, many pictures and drawings of Brodway artists. The sandwiches we had were OK (with lots of fries,... More

I think this is a great spot for a drink and dessert as the vibe feels old school and you can imagine what it once was with the deep red tones, numerous wait staff, and managers in suits that look like they are all from the old country. The food itself is a bit tired, sauces are heavy and not... More

Remember coming to Sardi's as a child and being enchanted so decided to pay it a visit for pre theatre dinner. Ambience not quite what I remember but was hopeful for food to be great. Menu was very limited but looked like there were some tasty dishes. Started off either Sardis special appetizer which turned out to be not so... More

I could.t wait to go back to Sardi"s for their famous steak tartare but was very disappointed in the food. The tartare was bland and unappetizing looking in presentation. My husband had the shrimp appetizer and commented it was not good . He ordered the "famous hamburger" not so famous ! the atmosphere and service were great. It.s a fun... More

When people think Sardi's they think Broadway Icon, the restaurant where not only have all of the great stars visited but their mugs are memorialized in wonderful framed caricatures on the walls. That's why before seeing Hamilton the other night we thought it would be a fun place to take a 15 year old who loves the theatre. What we... More

We came for dessert and coffee. The service was excellent and it was cool to see the caricatures on the wall signed by all of the famous people.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
