My husband, son, and I ate here prior to seeing a Broadway show. I found the interior of the restaurant in need of an update. The pictures of the celebrities are great, but I did not see any newer celebrities. The food was okay and the atmosphere is not bad. Service could improve as we sat there awhile before anyone... Actually one of the worst meals we have ever had, this restaurant is so past its prime and living in another era. The stars are gone and so are all the other customers, friends and family all that was in the place. Service staff not interested in their patrons, menu limited, food really bad. Had chop salads, lettuce wet, veggies mushy,... More

Stopped at the bar before seeing Mama Mia which is directly across the street. Bar menu says cheese and crackers and listed all kinds of cheese. Boy was I surprised when we go a tub of some yellow cheese that tasted like the cheese in a can with a bunch of 2 per pkg Ritz crackers. Was OK. Bartender had... More

We went to Sardi's after seeing the Lion King last week. The atmosphere was nice, all the caricatures on the wall were entertaining, but the food was disappointing and the service un impressive.I will say that they were very quick to make sure our water glasses were filled and that was nice, but our main waiter seemed put out by our mere presence and... Try some of the classic menu items. Between the three of us, we had an assortment of their classic meal items. They were great and service was very pleasant, never pushy. We made a 5:30 reservation for pre-theatre, which worked out just right, as it started to fill up by 6:00 pm and service could have gotten a little slower.... More

Who goes to NYC and misses a meal at Sardi's? No one! You must go, spend an hour or so just looking at all the caricatures on the walls, soooo many famous people. You never know, you just might meet one!

We went to Sardi's after seeing If/Then this Saturday night. Servers were accommodating in that we didn't have a reservation and joined our friends at their table. I had the risotto and chicken scallopine meal as well as French Onion soup with the house merlot. The soup was fine, but nothing special-same withe the meal. I've had much better risotto.... More

One of my favorite places for dinner before a show. Food is great! Key is to tell your server what show you are going to see. They will have you out in time for the show. They have never failed me.

We have eaten at Sardi's several times whenever we visit NYC. Always have great food, atmosphere and friendly, experienced staff. Will continue to return whenever we visit NYC.
