I had a late supper at Sardi's after seeing Motown the Musical, given my love of the broadway musical we simply had to eat at this iconic place, and I am happy to say it did not disappoint, food was good, service great and the atmosphere was everything I imagined it would be, the only thing missing was a broadway... We went there for lunch and we very, very pleasantly surprised by the great quality of the food. I was there 15 years ago and it was as good then as it is now! My girlfriend and I had the pasta in cheese sauce with either a salad or dessert (go for the rice pudding!) Our husbands had chicken salad.... More

We chose Sardi's as the touristy thing to do in Broadway. The inside was very interesting with all the caricatures of celebrities on the walls. My wife and I both had the Cobb Salad, which was good but not great. I realize we were in NYC and things are expensive but I didn't think it was worth $22. The service... More

We recently took our daughter to New York for her 10th birthday. It was her first trip to NYC and her first Broadway show, so I wanted to eat somewhere special before we saw Matilda on Broadway (see my review for Matilda as well). Plus, Sardi's is directly across the street from Shubert Theater where Matilda was playing, so it... More

We stopped in to Sardi's before a matinee show. We sat upstairs by the windows near the bar. It was a great place to relax and grab a great drink. Try the martini's. The bar tender was very friendly also. We also enjoyed looking at all the pictures on the walls!

This was the third restaurant we went to in the Theater District.... and the only one that had availability. The food was good but not great and the prices were very high. The place is fine but you can do better in New York City for the money.

Sardi's was recommended by friends it was no disappointment. Service was attentive without being intrusive and the food was excellent. As a pre-show meal, this was a great place to eat, convenient, good choice and reasonably priced.

Visited Sardi's after seeing a show. All I can say is terrible. The server was non-attentive, the food mediocre at best, and the only thing that had something going for it was the wine. Oops! AND the caricatures. That was a neat experience and should be viewed by everyone. Long story short. Head to Sardi's to have a drink or... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
