Not having been to NYC in 15 years, we weren't sure where to have dinner before a show. I'd been to Sardi's 21 years ago (!), was familiar with it, so booked it to be safe. I was surprised by the fact that it hasn't changed a bit. The food was reliably good, the atmosphere is still old-NY charming, and... more

Sardi's is not what is used to be - mediocre food and service. Overpriced for what it is. more

I arranged a dinner and Broadway show for a group of 21 friends recently and chose the landmark restauraunt, Sardi's for its prix fixe menu and its excellent location near the Imperial Theater. The quantity and quality of the food was outstanding. There were raves about the spinach canelloni appetizer, the crabcakes entree, the creme brule and profiterole desserts. I... more

We stopped in the upstairs bar at Sardis after seeing "In the Heights". The martinis were nice and strong. A famous actress was there which was kind of fun. The Wisconsin cheddar cheese spread and crackers were AMAZING!. The bartender was great. more

I recently took my parents to Sardi's for supper after an early Saturday Broadway show. It also happened to be my mother's birthday, as I'd noted in making an online reservation (under "Special Requests") but figured no one would pay attention to (kind of an unwelcoming website). It was exactly what we wanted and we had a terrific time --... more

The history in the room was awesome, but rather loud. The staff was very accommodating, but lacked person ability The food was decent, but not worth the price. more

Sardi's is a New York City landmark; it's walls are covered with caricatures of Broadways most famous stars and producers, and the dimly lit atmosphere sets the tone for everybody who wants to see and be seen. Sure, the main dining room is usually quite busy and the service can be slow when the place is hopping, but every tourist... more

Two friends and I had tickets to Equus and were meeting an aunt and uncle for a pre-show dinner. They chose Sardi's, and we were delighted that it was directly across the street from the theatre. Once we were seated, we enjoyed checking out the photos on the wall. And we had plenty of time to do that because the... more

When we walked in there was a waiter at the desk. I asked about checking in for our reservation. He seemed very annoyed I had spoken to him and said the Maitre De would be back in a moment. The maitre De did arrive and seated us promptly. We got our menus and sat and sat. The waiter finally came... more

My husband and I are from NY so we know good food. I wanted to go for the pictures on the wall. I should of just looked and left. Food was a disappointment to say the least. I found a hair in my crabcakes while trying to look for the crab. Waiter just apologized and brought me and new dish.... more
