Excellent pasta

The food and atmosphere were very good and the wait staff very knowledgeable. We thought it was a bit pricey but enjoyed it. The portion size was on the small side.

We bumped into this restaurant on a walk through Midtown. The place looks unassuming from the outside and even a bit empty: that's because the staff seats diners by the small patio out back. Food was interesting and a bit surprising for lunch. Plus, a 2-hour mimosa special kept us lingering.

Where to start? How about at “ $115 for two (before tip) for an absolutely fantastic dinner” in NYC ! I rarely give a 5 star rating but from the atmosphere, to the wait staff, to the food, it was far and above one of the best restaurants we’ve been to in a long time. We are not necessarily big... Went with my wife before an 7 pm show. Got to the restaurant at 5:30, and they made sure we were on time. Had the restaurant week menu (which varied from what was on the web site). Food was good, and service was attentive.

We were searching for a place near the theater and this place had good reviews. It blew us away with service and food. We were so glad we went here and definitely will return. It's hidden a bit but has the nicest locale with a quiet patio out back. The food was amazing!! We had our teen daughter with us... More

We were looking for an Italian restaurant in Hell's Kitchen and decided to give ViceVersa a try without any prior recommendations. The venue itself is beautiful - the outdoor patio area in the back is honestly gorgeous in comparison to the Hell's Kitchen area. All meals ordered were incredibly tasty - however, they were very small in size (we did... More

Went for a birthday celebration and experience a wonderful staff who was not only friendly and helpful but helped make a lasting impression. The food was wonderful as were the cocktails. Won't hesitate to return again and share with others.

Apart from this, it was a very pleasant meal, excellent food, good service, a nice atmosphere and not too loud. Good portion sizes too - i.e. not too big, so you can try all the courses without coming out feeling unable to move! Would definitely go back. Not too expensive either - given the quality.

I know it's NYC, but even for this area the menu is overpriced, especially considering the portion sizes. The restaurant itself is nicely appointed, especially with the outdoor area, and it's not that the food isn't good, it is, as is the wine list. And the staff was very attentive and friendly. But, even for this part of the theater... More

Ate here prior to seeing Jersey boys. Great find. Outstanding wait staff, nice ambiance. I had a great steak with hen of the woods mushrooms, a first for me. Husband had homemade pasta and loved it. Dessert was a yummy apple tart. Excellent wine list.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
