A new favorite Italian restaurant in NYC...

ViceVersa is located in/near Hell's Kitchen area and just north of Broadway. We have eaten here once or twice a year in January of the last several years. Every meal I has been excellent. They offer half size portions for many things and that suits my wife just fine. On this visit we arrived on a very cold night and even though I had not seen it on the menu I asked... More

Wonderful ambience, great food and service. Menu also interesting though nothing out of the ordinary. However, after having been to quite a few places that really disappointed, this was one place we really were satisfied with.

This was my forth time in this restaurant. The portions keep reducing every time I go there. Conscious of this fact, I always choose the full portion, which makes me wonder how small the 1/2 portion would be. $15 wines are priced $50, margueritas 20% above market price. Service is nice and food is tasty. This still keeps me loyal... More

My wife and I enjoyed a post-matinee dinner here. Service was excellent - friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. Very cool atmosphere and the food was excellent. Rice balls with a hint of truffle, pumpkin ravioli and pasta with duck ragout. The food is fresh, flavorful and the ingredients are well balanced. As good as advertised!

Usually we trust Trip Advisor completely. This place had great reviews but we found the food disappointing, the service lame and the price inflated for such an underwhelming experience. We actually wondered if management had changed as it was so disappointing. Can't recommend it but maybe we got them on a bad night. Take your chances as we aren't going... More

Extremly noisy. Pasta mediocre and overcooked. Slow service. Poor wine list. Expensive for a below average restaurant.

Pleasant Italian close to the theaters. Contemporary warm interior, very good service. Food generally good but some courses can be uneven. A little on the pricey side, especially given the small tastings for appetizers.

We had an early dinner after a matinee show. The service was wonderful. The food was fresh and delicious. The wine a little on the expensive side really no reasonable choices by the bottle. We would definitely go back, the décor is lovely as well.

We always make a point of dining at ViceVersa when in NYC. The food is great and the service impeccable. The restaurant is near the theater district so the location is perfect for pre-theater dining. The staff asks if you have theater plans so they can time the service accordingly. Dinner at ViceVersa followed by a Broadway show makes for... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
