On our way to Lincoln Center...

New York can be a walking city. This quite nice resurant with an Italian flor is really between the theater distict and Lincoln Center. Our food was exellent and the service brisk and efficient to allow us to make our target time. A good bet among the MANY, MANY resturants in NYC

Every spring I give a luncheon for 8 or 10 friends at ViceVersa. It's a joy to greet them in the lovely garden. We visit with each other and enjoy the delicious salads, fish, and pastas--especially the Casoncelli, a house special. David was our head server this time. He is knowledgable, unobtrusive , and fast. Since it was May, the... More

Found this restaurant by recommendation. Fun atmosphere and good food. Made a reservation and were seated soon after we arrived. Had the squid ink ravioli which was excellent. Good wine selection. A nice feature of the menu is they offer half portions on many of the entrees. Perfect if you are not as hungry or don't want to spend

ViceVersa has been a go to restaurant for years! The food is consistently good in a relaxed atmosphere with good service. The Strangled Priest pasta (Strozzapreti all`anatra ed olive di Gaeta) is absolutely delicious! Franco and Stefano will make you feel at home in their beautiful restaurant! Make reservations - worth the trip.

A lovely restaurant. Three of us had brunch items on a Sunday before a show and they were all very good. The service was good, I would definitely return.

Was having nice drinks with friends at the bar when the entire place turned into a screaming-queens bar place for a huge birthday party. We got pushed, people were screaming (forgetting it is a restaurant, not a party bar). Not a nice experience. The entire restaurant room seemed not happy as the bar area turned into a uncontrolled mess. We... More

Very accommodating waitstaff and excellent service is what struck the King the most about this place. Waitstaff went out of their way to accommodate the King's seven other very finicky pre-matinee luncheon friends, and not a complaint was to be had. Food was not to the King's preference but was prepared with a very acceptable presentation. Not a real Italian... More

This is a lovely spot. The service is fine and unobtrusive. The pastas are divine and the prices are reasonable for Manhattan. Did not have to wait on a Tuesday night when others on the block had hour long waits (for ramen?%%^$). Most enjoyable.

I have been to a number of Italian restaurants around Time Sq, Hells Kitchen and on the west side and today found the best ever! Vice Versa on 51st st between 8th and 7th Ave is awesome. Great food, great service and a lasagna bolognese what was out of this world! As an Italian foodie this ranks with the best... More

Nice atmosphere for a dinner with friends. Good food and good service. They have a pre fixe dinner for $38 which was a good deal before theater. You had an appetizer, entrée and dessert. A short walk to the Broadway Theater.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
