Place was opposite our hotel - it was very noisy when we attempted to go the first time. On our second visit it was automatically assumed that we wanted the expensive a la carte menu when we only wanted a bar meal. We ordered fish and chips which was tastyish but not spectacular and was expensive for what we had

We had lunch there on Sunday, mostly due to convenience: walking distance to Roundabout Theater, where we were going for a matinee. All of us (the middle aged couple and the mid-20s hipster son) were very happy with the choice. We were seated upstairs, surprised at white table clothes and a formal setting for lunch. Server was very attentive, friendly... More

We booked a meal based on a friends recommendation, We were seated in the upstairs restaurant which was a bit more formal than the downstairs bar. Went for tthe 65 dollar fixed price menu inclusive of beer and wine as this looked good value for money. Reasonable selection of choices and we were all happy with our meals and drinks,... More

We visited on a Sunday night at 7:15, and the restaurant was not busy. Our hostess clearly did not want to be at work, but she gave us a wonderful table by the window upstairs. We requested upstairs based on Tripadvisor recommendations, and because the music in the pub downstairs was loud. It turns out they were playing the same... More

Have visited before for work, and this time stopped in for fun. Some of the staff wear kilts and speak in what sounds like a Scottish brogue. The food was great, including a turkey burger, a regular burger, salads, sandwiches, and salmon. The sticky toffee pudding is mouth-watering. It's a lot quieter upstairs. Don't confuse this place with O'Brien's Pub... More

Needed a quick dinner before catching Jersey Boys, so popped into St. Andrews not really expecting much other than getting a meal. Was pleasantly surprised by the unique and friendly staff, fantastic pub food, reasonable prices, and great service. We were mistakenly brought 2 turkey burgers and a regular burger instead of 2 regular burgers and a turkey burger. Manager... More

Having slow moving traffic on the LIE on a Sat night- going into the city we needed to cancel our planned dinner reservations and find a quick place to get served a meal ordered and served between 6th and Broadway on 46th street. What a great find. We knew we needed to order quickly so we just went for their... More

I found this bar on a previous visit to New York and thoroughly enjoyed it. So I decided to bring family friends I was travelling with this time here. We were not disappointed. So much so that St. Andrews became our local. The waiting staff were all very friendly and service was generally quite quick. Food was fresh and very... More

Food was decent pub fare (shepherd's pie was better than average), oysters average. Service was spotty - one server was unfriendly, one was friendly. Great location, nice ambiance....could have stayed for hours with friends.
