Great times!

We were visiting from out of town and stopped in St. Andrews to have a beer and some appetizers. It definitely is more of a bar than a restaurant, but that was perfect for us. Our waitress was Samantha, and she was so great! She got us orders quickly and checked on us frequently. She was also... read more

Three of us had dinner here before the theater. We were very pleased. We all got grilled seafood and picked what 2 sides we wanted and had a choice on the type of sauce. The portions were just right and the food was excellently prepared and very good. Service was quick and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant when you... More

The atmoshpere here was quite vibrant and the bar staff friendly.. Sevice was good but the menu ( apart from the homemade haggis tatties and neeps) was the same as every Irish Pub (they all seem to be Irish Pubs - or at least an American version of an Irish Pub ) Prices were average. Liked tha fact that the... More

The food here was not what I waould call typically Scottish. Just plain pub grub. Visited an Irish bar with no Irish staff, this bar had an Irish waitress, working in a Scottish bar in NYC...very cosmopolitan. Cheap eats and greasy food. Had a steak sandwich and had grease running up my arm whilst eating it.

Just bad....Poor quality bar food which is wildly overpriced for the standard served. Not at all Scottish; please don't think this is any indication of delicious Scottish food! And particularly DO NOT touch the mush presenting itself as haggis - it really is 500 miles from right. Dreadful... and worse when we highlighted how far removed their offering was from... More

After reading all the mix reviews, I decided to check this place out with my family before heading to our broadway show last night. The service was attentive, we explained the server that you had tickets to go see a show, and I can assure you that the food is fantastic, they have a good selection of ales and we... More

Great whiskey but the food was non-descript at best. The help was nice and very quick. Try the 18 y/o Highland Park Scotch, to die for

We have eaten here before and really enjoy it. There are lots of Irish pubs in NYC but very few Scottish pubs. They have an excellent selection of single malt scotches and Scottish beers. The food is very good as is the service. We recommend it particularly if you are into single malts.

We made reservations online and when we walked into the place for lunch it was practically empty. That should have been our clue to turn around and go somewhere else. The first strike was that they were out of Bellhaven Scotch ale. It was the entire reason we went. It's their star beverage as they are a Scottish Pub and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
