Best Scotch List in Midtown

And that's saying a lot with all the pretentious bars! The difference is, this one takes great pride in their menu and in putting together an excellent whisky tasting experience.

New York is a great location to try all sorts of European delicacies while staying at home in the U.S. there's so many to pick from. If your tastes ever long for something from Scotland you can do no better than St. Andrews near Time Square. St. Andrews has a terrific sixty foot long bar and a remarkable collection of... More

Scottish themed restaurant & pub, kilt wearing servers, just off Time Square. Large selection of Scotch Whiskeys. Coped well with a large family group. Good service and excellent food.

Came here on a Friday night before going to see Mamma Mia. We had booked this some time before visiting as it was our honeymoon. When we arrived, we were shown to table in the window upstairs. We had the best of both worlds of being inside a lovely restaurant and also hearing and seeing New York happen around us.... More

An absolutely beautiful interior on the main bar floor; our waiter had a charming brogue. Our food was very good. I can't comment on scotch, beer or wine selection because I drank iced tea with my lunch. Therein lies my only complaint: the glass was rather small, full to the brim with ice, resulting in a small amount of tea... More

The food was amazing, the scotch tasting was to die for, and the beers from Scotland were so good. This will be a restaurant to hit this year

Been here on previous visits to NYC and was looking forward to our visit. Restaurant was very quiet - only 2 other tables eating - for a Wednesday just off Times Square. Placed our order and it took a long time to arrive. When one of the mains arrived it was wrong and had to be returned. It arrived back... More

We went to St. Andrews for our wedding dinner on the 18th June 2015 and couldn't praise it highly enough. Catered for 23 adults and 3 kids with excellent service and faultless food. The portions were so big I don't think anyone managed to finish their meal. When we return to NYC we will definitely be back to eat here.... More

Great atmosphere, staff we're every welcoming. I'd describe this bar as a classy Scottish bar as it's far from your typical Scottish pub. Foods good & if you like whisky there's plenty to chose from.

If you're looking for an authentic Scottish pub you will be a bit disappointed. However, if you are looking for a pub with decent food, good beers (including Belhaven) and a great selection of scotch, along with a nice ambiance then this place will fit the bill. Oh, and the scotch eggs are good.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
