The starter was not good. Tomatos were very raw and the squid came from a bought plastic bag. The main course was ok. The biftecci was well prepared on the bbq and the vitello in marsala was ok. The dessert was delicious but it was not the real italian dessert. Tiramisu is very different in Italiy ! So it was... More

The food was excellent and the restaurant had a nice authentic feel. Many local people were there when we're and said they eat there often or every time they visit the city. Good portion size, moderately priced and attentive staff.

My husband and I found Da Rosina and were seated rather quickly on a busy Saturday night. Upon entering, the room looks like a cozy Italian place, however we were brought to the back room where tables are smushed together so tightly, the waiters couldn't even reach the tables without reaching over other tables or handing food to customers. We... More

DaRosina offers a really good lunch for a reasonable price. I have had their prix fixe lunch special a few times and was never disappointed. Also, it is more reasonable than some other Italian eateries on Restaurant Row.

4 of us went here for dinner. The food was average, the service was inattentive. We were seated just inside the door, and the host allowed dozens who were waiting to surround our table (inches from us) and the door was left open with cold air blowing in. If your business is the successful, you might think you can treat... More

My wife and I had a pre-show dinner here, while I would agree that the place could use one of Robert Irvine's two day make-overs (some worn chairs, non-working rest room), the food and service was very good. I started with a great seafood salad while my wife's fried calamari was tastefully done. For main courses I had a sea-bass... More

Title sums it up. I could have made better Italian food at home, and I am 100% German. I travel to NY on business often, had planned to go to Becco and plans and time changed... Ended up here across the street. This is not my usual neighborhood. Thought I would be a good sport. The driest stale bread started... More

We stumbled onto this restaurant as we had lunch next door. It is a small Italian with real local feel. We were greeted at the door with a maître de with a flourish of old time Italian. It did not have that touristy, fake Italian feel. The food and the wine was very good and the tiramisou and coffee was... More

This place (like many of the places on Restaurant Row) doesn't look like much from the outside. The young man standing on the outside inviting passers by in made it seem a little desperate to me ( but that seems to be popular approach in NY) - we were the only patrons for a while even though it was 7:00... This has been a favorite of mine for years. it is a small restaurant in the theater district on restaurant row. The atmosphere is hurried and crowded. The prices and quality of food are very good and you won't miss your play because the food comes out fast. This is a restaurant where you are in and out. They make... More
