Ate dinner here before catching a show at the Richard Rogers theatre and was pleasantly surprised. I made an OpenTable reservation about 1 hour before arriving and was seated immediately in a completely packed restaurant. Didn't seem to be an empty table in the whole place! Thoroughly enjoyed the food (tiramisu was wonderful) and had great service since I was... More

This is a mixed review. Food was good and reasonably priced. However, service was very mediocre. Waiter took the order and delivered food and drinks but never returned again. Had to go out of our way asking for another glass of wine. Atmosphere was okay but nothing special compared to other restaurants we have eaten at in NYC

Had lunch there yesterday. So much was unacceptable that I am will just list the issues: -main course, the pasta was drowning in overly salted sauce, and the scant pieces of sausage were burned; my companion had to send back her lasagna which was described as "mushy", her veal was also swimming in gravy which may be a way of... Ate here in the late afternoon, was very quiet, only four tables occupied. Waiters very attentative but a little pushy. The two ladies on the table next to me got very irritated when the asked for the fourth time by different waiters if they wanted something to drink. The food was average, I had penne with a spicy sauce. This... More

We have been eating here on annual trips to NYC since 1998, and have recommended the restaurant to many friends and family. The prix-fixe menu is one of the best around, because it allows you to order from the entire menu, not just from a few options, so everyone can find something they like. We generally make reservations, and always... More

I was in the city again in May and insisted we go to DaRosina. I was with some friends that are Italian and I had been raving about this place. The true test however would be from these folks...... Wait for it..... I have been vindicated. They loved it. The red sauce, the fresh pasta, the service, the prices and... More

Food was fine, but nothing exceptional. I had the pollo ai funghi. My Cosmo was the worst I''ve had. They could not make a cafe mocha. Service was average at best. There are too many other better Italian restaurants in the area to bother with this one.

Da Rosina has held its place on Restaurant Row for years. The crowded, dated dining room attests to its longevity. There is a small bar at the front of the restaurant which is really too small to wait and have a drink. It is a convenient pre- theater lunch or dinner spot. Both seatings offer a price fixe menu that... More

Mediocre food & shock g service - the 1st time ever we have refused to leave a tip. A tip is earns - not a right. The restaurant wasn't busy - but no one bothered

We came to Da Rosina by referal while visiting New York last weekend. While the food was great service was all over the place. We were sited for less than minute and we had 3 servers asking us the same questions. We figured they wanted us out of there FAST. Nobody knew what the others were doing. This incident also... More
