Not the worst but not the best, either!

We were in NYC this past weekend and were just walking around when we came upon this place. It was very small but that didn't deter us from trying it. First off, we were served our water and then the waiter took off without asking us for our drink order. We sat there for quite some time - the... read more

This restaurant charge an arm and a leg for mediocre food. Some of the over-priced food here can be decent like the lasagna, but much of it is truly not. Minestrone was awful, ravioli were mushy and tasteless. The service was Ok and that's why my rating goes up to two stars.

My son and I had friends from Philadelphia here to visit and took them to Manhatten for the day. It was pouring rain all day, we were soaked and starving by 500pm. I didnt have reservations as I didnt know where in the city we would end up at dinner. So I CALLED the restaurant from 10 blocks away and... More

My family was walking passed this place and the man outside who claimed to be the maitre D was outside soliciting the restaurant. I guess we should have known from that. We sat down and my daughter leaned into decorative Christmas lights shocking her and burning her blouse. I told the waiter but we couldn't find a waiter who spoke... More

Went with another couple before theater on a recent Saturday night. First odd thing: a shill standing outside the front door, exhorting all passersby to come in for a great meal. Yet when we reached around him to open the door, he aggressively queried us, "Do you have a reservation?" When I said we did, he ungraciously moved aside to... More

Don't be put off by the crowded, bustling atmosphere of this well-established Italian spot along the busy Restaurant Row (off 46th St.). Although the seating is very close and you're likely to hear every word of the couple sitting next to you, Da Rosina serves up excellent, classic Italian cooking with generous portions at reasonable prices. (The fixed price menu... More

Walking around the city we asked a local where a good Italian restaurant was located. He mentioned to head on over to 46th and check out Becco. The wait was over 1.5 hours so we asked across the street to this place. *The door man sucked is in and lined us up with seats. While waiting I noticed this guy... More

The starter was not good. Tomatos were very raw and the squid came from a bought plastic bag. The main course was ok. The biftecci was well prepared on the bbq and the vitello in marsala was ok. The dessert was delicious but it was not the real italian dessert. Tiramisu is very different in Italiy ! So it was... More

The food was excellent and the restaurant had a nice authentic feel. Many local people were there when we're and said they eat there often or every time they visit the city. Good portion size, moderately priced and attentive staff.

My husband and I found Da Rosina and were seated rather quickly on a busy Saturday night. Upon entering, the room looks like a cozy Italian place, however we were brought to the back room where tables are smushed together so tightly, the waiters couldn't even reach the tables without reaching over other tables or handing food to customers. We... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
