I've been to Italy several times and this place is as good if not better than many restaurants there. It is a small family run business that is very convenient to Time Square and the theater district. 7 Of us all had different entrees and we enjoyed them all. Great, friendly service. Loved the food. Went back a second time... More

We stumbled upon Da Rosina when we were looking for a place for 7 to eat. We looked at several other small restaurants as we walked down the street and decided to give Da Rosina a try. It was small and cozy, but excellent food. At our table we ordered everything from the striped bass to gnocci to lasagna and... More

Post show dinner after wandering around for a bit and finding many kitchens closed. So it was late, but they assured us their kitchen was open and they would love to have us. Carafe of house pinot grigio ($30) was nothing special, and was not very chilled, but they did bring an ice bucket when we mentioned it. Pellegrino seems... More

Firstly, the food was fine without being special - no problems on that score. However, when we arrived there was a large group in the restaurant whose behaviour left a lot to be desired. I know that large groups can incline to be boisterous, but some of these were shouting and screaming across the table at one another. I eat... More

We (two couples) wound up a 4-day trip to NYC with dinner at Da Rosina, and it was the culinary highlight of our stay. The things we found most impressive were (a) the availablity of an inexpensive 3-course prixe fixe dinner menu, (b) the fact that you could choose any of the three courses from the whole menu (the prixe... This is a wonderful warm cosy Italian restaurant. Everyone is friendly, service excellent and the food wonderful! I ordered the Aragosta frutti mare, a seafood dish. I recommend ordering some bread to sop up the sauces :-) The price was excellent and was a great restaurant for a romantic evening.

Surely many people go to Da Rosina Ristorante Italiano on 46th Street because this is one of the few Italian restaurants to advertise in the Playbill, which is distributed at Broadway shows. But based on the crowd tonight following the shows, I would guess that repeat business is slim. You could argue that repeat business is usually slim in NYC... More

On our last night in NY, we were looking for something to eat and decided to pop in here and we did not regret it. The service was absolutely wonderful and the food was amazing. The ambiance of classic New York with a little restaurant down in the basement with exposed brick walls was really fun for us. I had... More

We had the Prix Fixe Lunch ($22) at Da Rosina before a Broadway matinee. The waiter was very helpful and the service was excellent. Everything was delicious. We had the Portobello Mushroom appetizer, the Veal Scaloppine Marsala entree (the sauce was awesome), the Gelato and coffee were perfect for dessert. It was a good thing to make had reservations, it... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
