Worth a visit

The menu at Becco is so enticing that it was hard to choose. Fortunately, all of our choices were most excellent. We started with salads for the table -- cesar and antipasto -- that could have been sufficient for a light meal. Then, two of our party had the There pasta special -- three pastas... read more

My sister discovered this place and we loved it. Went in for lunch and seated inside where there's a skylight so lovely afternoon flight flooded in without getting too hot. Our cocktails were expensive imo - all of us tried the summer spritzer which was slightly bitter and orangey and delish too. My sister tried the 3 pasta course with... More

If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would. It is the worst restaurant I have ever eaten in. I ordered the 3 pasta "special" and my husband ordered the sausage and broccoli rabe. The pasta was clearly out of a box, overcooked and sauces were tasteless. The sausage and broccoli rabe is equally pedestrian and lacking in any... More

Our best dining experience in NYC. We wanted to eat at one of Lidia's restaurants now we want to eat at all of them. High energy restaurant, good service...OUTSTANDING Italian food. Our entire family enjoyed their meals...gnocchi was best ever eaten.

Several times per year we see a Broadway show and Becco is our go-to restaurant for a great meal. We prefer to eat after the evening show and it is never a problem. When you make a reservation, let them know which show you are seeing and they will know when it ends and approximately how long it will take... More

Despite the proximity to Broadway, and more significantly the flood of human trash in Times Square, this place is authentic and wonderful. Our server, Raif, and the service team were nothing short of superlatively professional. Tasty, abundant, very well-priced food. I had the seafood soup (which was a meal) and my date had the unlimited pasta option whereby they give... More

This was a quick walk from the St. James Theater, which is at 44th and 8th.It's hard to go wrong in choosing a restaurant as you walk down "restaurant row," but we chose Becco because of a family recommendation. We were seated in the far back end of the restaurant, which was cramped, but okay. Our server was brusque once... More

My chicken was cooked to perfection! Juicy and moist on the inside and browned perfectly! The flavor!!! The risotto with fresh corn and other seasonal vegetables was delicious. They serve fresh bread, bread sticks, and a selection of olives before your food comes.

Well priced, nice wine list, good pasta. Salad was fresh, bread basket and olives and bean dip were nice. Can't beat dinner for two with wine for around $100 if you like pasta.i would give it 3 and a half if I could.

Food was awesome. Meal was great, staff was friendly, but the seating was arm to arm. You literally had to move a table out to be seated. Maybe us Midwesterners are spoiled but this isn't what were used to. The back room got a little arm from all the people and the hot pans going around. A definite see, as... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
