We were a large group of 16 for lunch and I was very excited to try Becco as I heard such good things about it. It was very crowded; we had reservations and were seated promptly. We ordered drinks, I started with a Peach Bellini and an antipasto dish that consisted of bocconcino, sun dried tomatoes, grilled zucchini, octopus and... More

GREAT food. Excellent service and a terrific $29 a bottle wine list. The pasta sampler makes a stellar first course. Right in the heart of the theatre district. Our 'go to' restaurant of choice whenever we're in town.

We went to Becco for dinner. I had been to the restaurant many times in the past and had not been there recently. Our salads were ok ( nothing special, it comes with meal). For the main entree I had the lamb and my friend had a sea food dish, both were a major disappointment. The food was bland and... More

We eat here frequently and have always enjoyed the food and service. On our most recent visit, we brought a party of 8 and our server handled our crowd beautifully. All enjoyed the food and our time there.

This past weekend, I had tickets for a matinee and had lunch with my mother before the show. The place was packed, and the tables were very close together, but for an afternoon meal it was fine. We both had the prix fixe pasta meal, which is what most of the diners seemed to be having. The caeser salad was... More

I went to Becco on a recommendation from a colleague and I am glad I listened! The place was packed so don't plan to go if you don't have a reservation (and it is cramped). Once our server came over (Dan from Hawaii) we immediately forgot about the crowd around us. He was one of the best servers I have... More

This is a restaurant owned by Lidia Bastianich (Lidia's Table). I was really excited to get reservations here, I've been watching Lidia on PBS for years. They have a special that includes a choice of ceasar salad or an antipasto plate and all you can eat of three different pasta dishes. There were 4 of us so 2 ordered the... More

I had booked myself into a hotel near Times Square, which I normally try to avoid because of the tourists and being overcrowded, because of an event I was hosting nearby. Although I work in NYC and live in the suburbs I couldn't take any chance at not being at the event. Of course, we had to cancel the event... More

We visited Becco for the first time this past weekend and glad that we did. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. We had the pasta trio, appetizers and of course the homemade cheesecake. The pastas were served tableside and the servers made sure our plates were never empty. Will definitely return.

This was by far the best Italian food I have had in NYC. This is actually the 4th time I have been there. MY only wish was that they had some of the menu items they have in spring/summer in fall/winter. Specifically the stuffed cabbage...the stuffed peppers are no substitute.
