We've eaten here several times over the last few years. The food is excellent. The pasta special (all you can eat of three different pastas for $22.95) is the best deal in Manhattan. We've had the pasta special, the lemon chicken and the grilled rib eye, and have enjoyed them all tremendously. They also have an excellent wine list, all... more

I have been dining here since it opened. Always excellent. Food is always superb. Menu changes, but choices are always very good. Feels like home. Staff is always warm and friendly. Prices are terrific. Dinner for 2 with drinks/wine is less than $100. more

...breaded shrimp as a starter ...tasted ..well...like bread...no taste to it....the arugula salad with the steak was ok...even though the salad was real salty...anyway...what bothered me most was the staff rushing around ...sometimes there were more than 10 people at a time doing this and that...but certainly ...what they didn't do was paying attention to the customers......I will not go... more

Took my family here. Place was busy...Lydia actually showed up. We were yelled at by wait staff for sharing some of our food. Food wasnt so great. I make a much better meal at home. Have complained a few times, no response from anyone at the restaurant guess they dont care. There were eight people with my party. Not impressed... more

Went here with my wife prior to Broadway show. Typical Broadway dinner rush crowd. However, service was relaxed, individualized, and servers took time to interact. Nice. We were seated in an area that was below ground, but had skylights, very intimate actually. We asked the server for a picture of us and he immediately brought over a candle and placed... more

Prior to seeing Billy Elliot ( a fabulous musical), 17 of us had the misfortune of dining at Becco. I was looking forward to a meal at a restaraunt owned by Lidia. Well, it was more like eating at an upscale Olive Garden. Lets start with the Ceaser salad. Tasted like it was dressed with a generic mayonaise based bottled... more

We managed to get a reservation on our first anniversary to the Becco's on New 42nd St and, because this restaurant had been recommended and additionally seemed to be well know by the hotel staff, we knew it was going to be a fabulous evening. And we were not wrong! To start with there was a huge wine list to... more

My husband and I went to Becco's for the first time this trip. $25 all you can eat pasta, $25 bottles of wine. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was the best meal I've ever had in NYC but it was pretty tasty. I get the impression that it may depend on the night you go, as... more
