We happened upon this restaurant by chance and were very pleased. My wife got the 3 pasta special, I got the braised short ribs, very good. Our waiter Liam, was wine knowledgeable and quite nice. Atmosphere was cozy and laid back. We recently got back from a month in Italy and loved the food there, everything was delicious and fresh.... More

Went to Becco for Sunday dinner. We like the 3 pastas, however, the past 2 times the sauces and pasta were far below Lidia standards We had spagetti with tomato sauce and basil. Sorry but the pasta lacked flavor and the sauce was bland adding pasta water only made it worse.Certainly not San Marzano and no salt to taste anywhere.... More

Where else can you dine in NYC and get a bottle of good wine for $25? Pair the wine with the Osso Bucco - outstanding. Pasta dishes are standard, served family style, and are not memorable.

Dining at Becco's right now. The food was great. What a variety for Italian food. However the service was poor. The waiter never checked on us asked us how our meal was nor did he try to up sell. No offer for an after dinner drink or dessert. The place has a great vibe very crowded and the wait staff... More

We were invited to have lunch here with a friend who knew of the chef but had never eaten here before. Evidently they cater to the theater crowd because the place was packed when we arrived but cleared out suddenly not long after we had sat down. (We had 1:30 pm reservations.) The service was friendly and competent but the... More

Was recommended by a local to come here before my show and it definitely did not disappoint. if you like pasta, you will like the food (especially the pasta "buffet" of the 3 pasta they make each day)! while it's not amazing or best italian restaurant ever, its definitely solid and the price is good too. i didn't make reservations... We booked a table for a birthday dinner at Becco after reading the good reviews here. Our waiter was nice, the location is good, and they offer a good selection of ok priced wine, but the rest... Not good. Food: We didn't get our food at the same time, and some of it was cold. The antipasti was better than... More

We walked to Becco after a Broadway show. We had no reservations, but were welcomed and seated immediately, despite the crowd. A wonderful waiter and a great staff made our dinner even more wonderful. Italian food, of course, and marvelous. We would definitely return. They even allowed us to split an entree and did so for us.

Went to Becco after Theater and found a little bit of heaven. Wine is the bargain at Becco but only if you buy it by the bottle. Bottles are $25 one and all but a glass of house Chianti was $18, go figure. Next time, its a bottle. I had the Pasta Trio special $22, which came with Caesar salad.... More

We first visited Becco's NYC six years ago at the recommendation of a friend and frequent visitor to NYC. We keep going back. Our most recent visit in September 2014 was right after they reopened from an extensive remodel. We light the new open airy feel. The menu still contains all the old favorites and their fixed price option is... More
