Whoever Told You There Isn't Incredible Food in the Theatre District Was Wrong

Bastianich + three daily house made pasta specials + affordable wine = best value and most delicious Italian food in theater district. HINT: Book as soon as you order your Broadway tickets. The coveted pre-theatre reservations go fast.

We went to Becco's prior to the theatre with a party of six. I had been to Becco years ago and it is just not the same. It is living off a reputation that it no longer lives up to. The food was extremely disappointing. The pasta special was not worth it. The pastas served had no flavor or substance... More

My wife and I ate at Becco's after an afternoon of Theater. This restaurant is conveniently located in the NYC Theater District. We have reservations for 5 but arrive at 4 PM after a short wait we were seated. The seating here is tight so if you are looking for privacy it's not the place. Small table with not enough... More

Very disappointed that lidia would put her name on this. Food was not impressive at all. None of the food had taste. Was very heavy and not satisfying.

Dinner here was very good. For and extra $9 you can have a Caesar salad and sample the 3 pastas of the night before enjoying your main (entrée) course. The 3 pastas were great; however you have to be careful not to eat to much and have no room for the next course! I enjoyed the short ribs. They have... More

The pasta special with the antipasto dish was fantastic. The ravioli were specifically exceptional, they tasted just like they do in Italy- which is hard to find. The $29 wine list was a bonus, with a really great selection. Would visit again.

We visited the restaurant before the theater. The food was superb and plentiful. The staff could not be more accommodating. Don't miss the opportunity to dine here.

The three unlimited pastas of the day are fun and a bargain, as are their $29 bottles of wine. We always look forward to coming and leave happy.

On a recent trip to New York I advised our group of 10 museum goers to go to lunch at Becco. This was our sixth visit with groups of 4 to 12 persons. We made a reservations for 2:30 for lunch we were seated after 3. Our group ordered promptly then our waitress said she was going on break but... More

Came for dinner pre theater. Coats checked at the entrance. We were promptly led upstairs to a table next to a loud bridal shower. With just one request, we were immediately moved to a quiet corner table. Menu was quite large and everything sounded great. The bread was freaky and crusty and was served with a plate of olives and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
