It's a real treat to dine here. The food is consistently excellent, the service is wonderful, the decor is pleasant, and you'll leave feeling it was so well worth the visit. Divirta-se! Divirta-se!

As a Brazilian, I was not impressed with the food, the beans were not Brazilian at all, when I sat brazilian I mean, they were not seasoned or cooked in a brazilian style, I had a CHURRASCO MISTO which is far from the original that you gonna find in Brazil. So, it's maybe I'd say an American-Hispanic version of the... More

We visited Ipanema very close to the time the kitchen closed, but we still received wonderful service and a great meal. The friendly and helpful waiter was great in helping us choose something from the menu that was a personal favorite of his and he was not wrong. It was a great choice.

We had the misfortune of being seated next to a loud group and the manager noticed and kindly offered us a seat in a quieter section without us having to ask. Very classy move. The salmon with Brazilian herbs was mouth watering, although the black beans could have used a bit of spice. Location is perfect for dinner before a... More

Loved the grilled chicken and potatoes at this Brazilian restaurant. It was right up the street from a Broadway show we were going to see. The service was great and very efficient. Perfect for a pre theater dinner.

Enjoyed the passion fruit caipirinha... Perfectly made. We split the Portuguese steak. The meat was excellent, tender, and the gravy Portuguese style. Cove was very good too as were the fried potatoes. Farofa, rice and beans were good but not great.

This is a great restaurant, I had some of the best fejoada I've ever tasted here. Very nice atmosphere and prices weren't unreasonable. Portion of Fejoada was HUGE though. You could have split it for two with an extra serving of rice.

Ipanema, a Brazilian restaurant located on the 46th street near 5th Avenue, is named after the neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro known for best beaches. We were looking for a Brazilian restaurant for lunch and Ipanema fitted the bill nicely. A lot of Portuguese speaking people were eating in the restaurant, proving that this establishment is popular with those who... More

My wife and I ate here yesterday after a Broadway matinee and because of this arrived early (around 5 pm) so that the place was fairly deserted. Nonetheless it filled up rather quickly and so we presumed that it was a popular spot. I'm not a connoisseur of Brazilian food but I did like my sirloin with fried egg on... More
