We wanted to take my daughter and her friends out for her birthday. She wanted to go to Little Italy but wanted to go to a restaurant that we haven't visited yet. We chose Il Cortile. I've read all the reviews on here and have to disagree with the negatives. Our experience was all positive. I want to say that... More

Our concierge made our reservation. She hit a home run this was awesome, the service, and food were impeccable. Our waiter was from southeastern Italy and we had a nice conversation about our travels to Italy. He suggested a wine that was fabulous and the food was to die for. We sat in a quaint spot in the front window... More

Last minute decision for dinner. Food was delicious. A little pricey for 3, but, well worth every penny

We were travelling from Australia and needed a place in Little Italy that we could catch up with my family - a group of 11 - 5 adults and 6 kids ranging from 6 to 13 years old. Using Opentable - this resturant came up and we booked. There is a huge area at the back of the resturant which... More

Love the atmosphere and the food! Little Italy is a gem and this restaurant is a family favorite. Hope they have the Lobster Ravioli on the menu when you visit - yum!

Came to Il Cortile for dinner last week. We were a party of 5. We didn't have a reservation but we were seated promptly. I ordered the Mozzarella in Carozza (fried mozzarella) appetizer. This restaurant makes it the truly proper way of putting the mozzeralla between 2 slices of bread. Although I prefer the breaded type more this was very... More

We had eaten in Little Italy the night before but were underwhelmed with our experience. Not to be put off we succumbed to our persistent cravings for decent pasta and stumbled upon the doorway of Il Cortile. We were greeted at the door and shown to a great table and given bread and water while we perused the menu. My... More

We enjoyed our Christmas Meal at Il Cortile. It was busy and buzzing with families - both local and visitors to the City. The atmosphere was lively. Don't expect this to be "fast food" - that's not the point of a real Italian Family Dinner. The food was excellent - from steak, to pasta to chicken parmesan, all was delicious!!!... More

I first went to Il Cortile 10 years ago when my husband and I were first dating. I remember it clearly. The food was excellent. The waiter was attentive and the ambiance was just enchanting. For years, my husband would bring up that wonderful dining experience. I decided to bring him back there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was... More
