Introduced to Il Cortile by my out-of-town cousin last December, we decided to give it a second visit during August: Could it be THAT good again? No disappointments this time either. From the attentive wait staff to the palate-pleasing sauces, the meal exceeded all our expectations. Il Cortile will make your evening in Little Italy a memorable one! Don't pass... More

I dined with my 12 and 13 year old kids. The staff was very friendly and made the Italian experience feeling authentic and fun for the kids as well as myself. I had the gnocchi and the kids both had other pasta dishes - we all agreed all three dishes were the absolutely magnificent!! We will definitely return again.

My wife and I had an excellent meal at Il Cortile. The food and service was first class. My only complaint was that we were seated in the family section. It was impossible to enjoy a intimate, romantic dinner with my wonderful wife while there were a couple of young children screaming the whole time.

We have been to this NYC restaurant 3 times & have never been disappointed. Today was no exception. It was a special occasion for me & wanted to do it up big. We ordered a beautiful super Tuscan wine & then ordered appetizers. I had the fried baby calamari with marinara sauce. It was delicious & the sauce was spicy... More

A lovely oasis from the chaos of the city. Beautiful restaurant. Great staff. Genuine Italian food. Pasta main meals from 15 dollars. Only negative is little Italy is being engulfed by China town the walk from the tour bus is not great as every 2nd person is selling you a fake designer watch or handbag.

My husband and I had a great meal at Il Cortile. We sat in the inside glass-topped patio area which was lucky since it rained. Watching the storm was amazing. Our food was amazing also, My husband got the special of lobster ravioli, which had a great flavor and meaty texture. I got chicken scallopini; the portion was huge but... More

After traveling to Italy last summer, our kids voted "Little Italy" on our one night in New York recently. They had high expectations and quite candidly dinner at Il Cortile fell a bit short. It wasn't bad - it was just so underwhelming. I think perhaps the restaurants in Little Italy need to raise the bar a bit.

During our recent stay in New York we ventured down to "Little Italy" just to look around. Walking down Mulberry Street we were looking for somewhere to eat and came upon this place. The outside deceives what you find inside. The restaurant opens up in to a large, spacious, well lit atrium at the back. Service was quick and the... More

We've been to this place a number of times. Our latest visit was just okay. The menus, paper folded with gold seals, clearly had been used quite a number of times before they were in our hands. There were holes in the paper where the creases were. Our waiter was asked about a special, and how much it was. He... More

This restaurant is evidence that one does not need to go all the way to the home country for fine Italian food. Situated on Mulberry Street, with four sidewalk tables, there is a large seating area inside and a spacious atrium in the back. The waiters speak perfect Italian and English with hints of tough-guy New Yawk volubility that adds... More
