We were in NYC for the Westminster Kennel Club dog show, and hosted a dinner for nine at Il Cortile. We had n0ot previously eaten there, but wanted to take these folks into Little Italy. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service prompt and inobtrusive. We began with a round of mixed hot and cold appetizers... More

My husband & I were joined by another couple for dinner on Saturday 2/14/15 and from the greeting we received upon arrival I should have known there were going to be issues. The young man at the front door asked our name, looked at the list & told me we didn't have reservations. I protested & then he asked if... More

They treated us poorly. We were a larger group of 9 so one would think that with such a high bull we would get better service. The restaurant was empty and our server ignored us. The pasta tasted like it was boxed. The sauce tasted like prego. They also tried to sell us left over gelatinous goop desserts from Valentines... More

Please, take your business to another restaurant so that you may have a pleasant experience. My boyfriend and I just returned from our Valentine's dinner after a horribly unpleasant, saddening experience. I have acid reflux disease and thus cannot tolerate tomato based sauces. I ordered the Pasta di Parma, which is described on the menu as with "garlic and oil... More

We went to this restaurant because my friend thought that it was going to be the quintessential Italian dining experience in New York City a la the Sopranos. Well if they're going to put out that kind of air, they might as well put red checkered tablecloths in the tables. The food is sadly, average. There is way too much... More

I haven't been to IL Cortile in a few years, as I moved from NYC. But the moment I walked through the doors they received me as part of the family. It is such a great atmosphere. The food is one of the best Italian food in the states. Highly recommend this place

This is in the heart of Little Italy and I was told to order the Tiramisu by someone who had visited previously. This is an excellent suggestion. We had originally set out to visit another restaurant which should have opened at 11:30. It apparently has closed and moved on, so we walked to Il Cortile across the street. It was... More

Il Cortile is one of those little gems tucked into what is left of Little Italy. The food is to die for. Everything from the salads, the incredible pastas, fish and meat dishes. Love the atmosphere, too! We haven't been there since last Easter, but we're meeting people there in a few weeks, and can't wait. Definitely one of the... More

We had an amaizng meal, five of us all had different meals and they were all amazing. The serivce (our waiter Sal was amazing) and the rest of the staff was so attentive and helpful. It truly was our best meal while in NYC. Big miss if you don't try it - and ASK FOR SAL, truly was wonderful.
