Me and my husband came across Pings while in Chinatown looking for lunch... This is the place to go...we both had a beer and a fantastic selection on food for $25 total...!

I made the mistake of eating dim sum here on my second-to-last day in NYC at Ping's, because the shumai and the shrimp dumpling there were phenomenal! I would go as far as to say that Ping's has the best shumai and shrimp dumpling I have ever had! When I get dim sum, I always get shumai even though it's... More

We used Tripadvisor to locate a highly rated restaurant in Chinatown. We were very happy with the experience and food. However, we were quite confused about the ordering process. They walked around with trays of appetizers for you to select from(no idea how much they cost). We enjoyed several of them, but no one actually came to take our order.... More

Have lunch here with my family, dim sum plus lobster. Dim sum we ordered the usual, steam and fried dim sum. Had Har kou, siew mai, pork ribs, glutinous rice, egg tart, turnip cake, prawn spring roll, and lobster. The standard of food here is very high, the best we had in all our years of traveling and eating through... More

AFter having had a horrible one previously (check my other NYC review) I was pleasantly surprised to eat here. Of course it was a bit hectic and the staff was inconsistent with service (basically standard at most dim sum places) the food was hot, delicious, and without noticeable MSG, which is amazing for most Asian places. We begged for more... More

After walking across Brooklyn bridge from DUMBO with four of our friends we arrived in Chinatown at Ping's famished. We had a 15 minute wait. An eternity when you're hungry. But it was well worth it. Our friends had never had dim sum. We enjoyed har gai, shui mais, pork meat balls, shrimp fun gung and sticky rice just to... More

My family was on a vacation in NYC and decided to have dinner in Chinatown. We were advised of a certain restaurant from friends, but there was a line and the kids wanted to eat. Ping's was across the street and looked fine. We had a table of 8 and were seated quickly. Water was given, but it was luke... More

We have always frequented Ping's when in NYC Chinatown including holding our New Years banquets there as well. The most recent visit was disappointing especially since we had friends here from China and wanted to take them to somewhere special. It was a busy Saturday evening and we ordered at least 8 dishes, (a mini banquet to honor our friends)... More

Had dim sum and was happy with the quality of the food, the prawn Sui Mai were packed with juicy prawns, the salt and pepper squid was light and tasty. The waiters were attentive and lovely but the food trolley lady wasn't overly impressed if you didn't take any of her food. Would return, fun experience.
