Very quaint restaurant with great ambience. Started off with well seasoned edamame and had sashimi (can't remember the names of platters) but was delicious. Someone mentioned that it didn't taste all too fresh but tasted fine imo. The noodle soup/broth was light but flavoursome and there was a steady stream of green tea. NB: 10/10 for food, decor, service +... More

I really love the noodle sets! It has been a winter full of colds and I soothed them with noodle sets at Takahachi. For about $18-20, depending on the ingredients (varies almost daily), I enjoyed the noodle sets which included a crisp green mixed salad with ponzu dressing, a sushi roll such as grilled scallop handroll or tuna roll, two... The sushi combos are a very good value, but when they arrive, you'll see the rolls are just thrown together. The fish itself was of good quality. The decor is unremarkable and the evening we were there it was unbelievably hot. The service is very fast (maybe that's why the rolls were poorly made). Very average. With all the options... More

Using food and service as our guide, Takahachi is one of my wife's and my favorite restaurants in our Tribeca neighborhood. More affordable than it's Japanese peers in the neighborhood--Nobu, Megu and Rosajin (to die for)--we've had many memorable dining experiences at Takahachi. It's not cheap eats, and worthy of a date night, the food is solid throughout and the... More

In search of sushi in a new neighborhood led us to Takahachi in tribeca. a simple decorative place, easy to walk by with only the sign on the glass door to let you know, but so worth the journey, great amount of choice with the usual sushi & so much more unique combinations, top quality, reasonably priced, fast service we'll... The service is welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere very relaxing. The competition for sushi restaurants is rife and the service makes the difference. The signature tempura is excellent as is the fried tofu. The sushi is wonderfully displayed and the dishes have tempura flakes which are delicious. Worth a visit for a special occasion.

The sushi is some of the best in the city, equal to NOBU but for less money. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

My son in law took me here on a recent visit to NYC. He knows I am a huge sushi fan and Promissed me a treat. I was blown away. What sensational sushi but better still the very authentic other Japanese selections. All this is at an amazingly fair price. I have tried a lot of NYC's Japanese restaurants and... More

This little spot in TriBeca has marvelous sushi, sashimi and an assortment of great maki rolls. The servers are friendly and helpful. Pricing is very fair and quality terrific.

Great sushi restaurant with very reasonable prices. Sushi is great, as well as cooked fish.
