Description: Gigino Trattoria opened its doors in August of 1994. The owners, Bob Giraldi and Phil Suarez, along with executive chef Luigi Celentano, have kept Gigino flourishing in the ever-changing Tribeca neighborhood. Chef Celentano creates both the menu and wine list, with daily specials of seasonally fresh seafood, game and vegetables. Gigino prides itself on the fact that all their dishes are prepared to order and almost all their pastas and breads are house-made. Fresh fish specials are featured on the “specials blackboard” daily, and it’s safe to say we also have the best pizza in Tribeca! Dining at Gigino Trattoria is a pleasure every time!

Meal was very good. Nice neighborhood and good selection on the menu Downside is definitely the service. While I don't like to have my meal rushed they go to the other extreme. Could also be a little more attentive. Would visit again.

We searched for weeks, perhaps months, for a restaurant in the area that was reasonably priced and had good food for our rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding. I can't tell you have difficult it was and how overpriced some of the other restaurants in the area were. We found Gigino Trattoria and they were fantastic. Prices were very... More

I have been dining at this restaurant for years as my office was located within walking distance. Having retired a few years ago, I don't get a chance to visit as often as I would like. My wife and I happened to be in lower Manhattan so we dropped in for lunch. Very pleased to say that the quality of... More

Was actually going to another restaurant but it was closed!! Ginino looked appealing. The cold Morretti beer was welcome with a warm green bean starter. The main course was a sautéed shrimp, spinach, tomatoes, bacon, garlic and penne. Very enjoyable with a glass of Pinot. The staff were helpful, friendly and available. There is a good atmosphere and 'feel' to... More

Tried to find something for late lunch after long walk through Tribeca and were lucky finally. Service was good, could be a bit faster with almost empty restaurant they had in the end of our lunch. Nice food with some new experiences - raviolli with potatoes - strange but good. Pasta with trouffles - great. Good price/ value wines. Our... More

After seeing Gigino's in the movie "Dinner Rush," we decided to dine there. The experience and the meal were wonderful. Our server was attentive and helpful, but not intrusive. His suggestions were excellent - the shrimp and pasta were delicious, and the pasta with beet sauce was truly excellent. The entire experience was unforgettable!

We loved this place near the Smyth Hotel. The homemade pasta specials were tops. Solid wine list. Good pizza, too. Knowledgeable wait staff. Good value for Manhattan. Would go there again. no question. We had a 12-year-old with us and she enjoyed it, too.

I was in nyc for my friends graduation this past may and four if us went to have a late lunch here after the ceremony. I am from Texas so I was not sure what to expect from an establishment like this. As I walked up to the door I saw the patio seating - it was just a bunch... More
