Description: Gigino Trattoria opened its doors in August of 1994. The owners, Bob Giraldi and Phil Suarez, along with executive chef Luigi Celentano, have kept Gigino flourishing in the ever-changing Tribeca neighborhood. Chef Celentano creates both the menu and wine list, with daily specials of seasonally fresh seafood, game and vegetables. Gigino prides itself on the fact that all their dishes are prepared to order and almost all their pastas and breads are house-made. Fresh fish specials are featured on the “specials blackboard” daily, and it’s safe to say we also have the best pizza in Tribeca! Dining at Gigino Trattoria is a pleasure every time!

Ate here early on a Sunday night. The restaurant soon filled up with locals. Very nice and varied menu. On the advice of our waiter, we shared a Burrata salad with prosciutto, which was perfect. We both had a different chicken dish, each excellent. Very good dessert choices. Reasonably priced for New York..

As soon as you walk in you know you are in for a treat. There is something special about a good Italian restaurant, especially when it is popular with New Yorkers. Great, attentive service with humour added in. The menu is big with a great choice of pizzas, pastas and main courses. You want to come back again and again... More

Dined there mid-week in Aug. 2014. Went without reservations and were seated with only a short wait. Opted for a table indoor, though sidewalk tables were also available (a nice option). . The atmosphere & ambiance are warm, informal, friendly & casual but …. NOT sports-bar or pub-ish. It was a *restaurant* and about good food. Later in our meal,... More

We went for a long walk. As we got hungry looked up a close Italian restaurant (for a late lunch) on TripAdvisor. This place looked promising so we decided to try it out. It's an older building with charm. Bathrooms need to be renovated. They make excellent pizza in their wood burning oven! I had the Boscaiola which I would... More

This Italian restaurant feels like a family restaurant. I ordered the 'l’afrodite' soup which is a seafood and vegetable soup. It was really good. Then I took the 'Gamberoni Tre Torri' a very good dish of shrimp. Service is good. The price is good for the quality.

A group of 5 of us had dinner there after a Broadway show. It was Sunday and the place was packed. Seems a large family was having a Baptismal celebration. We were seated at the back corner, which was fine, except that the server occasionally forgot that we existed. Also, the back tables being against the large windows made it... More

Very seldom can you say....,pretty much everything on the menu is good and judging by the reactions of the patrons and how crowded this place is on a Sunday Night, everything must be good. My lovely bride & I enjoyed the Barrata Cheese app with Eggplant, which was sort of "indescribably delicious". Hey....,When in Rome or NYC...,Right? Wonderful wine and... More

Battery Park, the River, Liberty, wonderful al fresco dining and such good service. FRESH Italian food like few places can make. I would eat here everyday if I were nearby!
