My go-to restaurant when I want a low profile, relaxed meal

I love everything about the Odeon, from the decor to the service including, of course, the food. I actually admit to almost always eating the same, the stater might vary but after that I find the steak frites difficult to resist, and their ice creams always call out to me for dessert. I have been... read more

Although food was good and the service excellent. Compared to our other dining in NY is was a little disappointing. The homemade pasta dish was heavy and a little dry. The other 3 guest enjoyed hamburgers but you can get a good burger in many places.

We were in NYC and didn't need any more fancy, schmanzy places to eat so friends recommended The Odeon. It was exactly what we needed after a fast paced weekend in the Big Apple. The service was excellent; friendly and efficient. Servings are on the large size, but not so big that you feel you have to share. The Bloody... More

Restaurant claims to be French but it is French inspired American cousine. I had the french onion soup and it was a bit disappointing but the burger with the Gruyere cheese was excellent. We were in a big group and the service was great, however, the restaurant was pushing us to get the tables freed up at 8pm. It is... More

Mother's Day brunch was very good. Great service and reasonably priced away from the tourists. Reservations recommended.

Currently wearing scaffolding on its exterior, it's the same old Odeon inside. Virtually always packed local Tribeca yummy mummies and their hubbies and sprogs in tow, this well established restaurant knows just what their patrons want. Brunch specials are added to the nicely balanced standard menu. Expect to pay about $60 with service from an efficient crew who genuinely seem... More

We stopped in for a late breakfast on a Sunday. The food was great, loved the atmosphere and the Bull Shot was a great change from a bloody mary.

Have eaten at The Odeon many times over many periods in my life and The Odeon has always delivered. The restaurant has been serving up classic French bistro grub since the 70's and is a Tribeca institution. The menu changes often with great daily specials, but the steak tartare is a staple that I'm addicted to. I've eaten there at... More

Understated elegance perfectly mixed with the modern fashion of Tribeca. Nice people, good food (the "tuna burger" is great!) and cocktails. Chic and cool like a Lomo photography.

We had brunch here during our visit to New York. The pancakes I had were delicious, and the cocktails were pretty good too, as was the coffee. Would definitely recommend it, and despite it being 10am on a Sunday it was really quiet too so no waiting.

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
