Good food and nice atmosphere

Good food, the salmon was really good, and good service. Nice and cozy atmosphere. A bit disappointed to find out looking on our check that our bootle of water was very expensive. But overall The Odeon is really good!

Cute restaurant with excellent French food. Had the croque Monsieur, calamari, moules frites and soft shell crab, all was great! Service could have been a little better as the restaurant got busier on a Saturday night as expected.

Beautiful retro ambiance with a small but varied menu. Try a fish dish. Fresh ingredients. Moderate prices. Lively bar scene, noisy inside but there are outdoor tables.

Loved the menu, the staff, the wine list, the beer list, the location, and the B-list clientele wandering in and out during the evening. Can't go wrong

Morning breakfast meeting, chose the Odeon because of dinner reputation and I was pleasantly surprised - the toast was TOAST! Not crusty mush like most gluten free toast). My eggs were perfection but I expected that, grapefruit juice was fresh that morning and the bacon was plentiful and delicious. Kudos Odeon - perfect breakfast!

Enjoyed a nice, quite breakfast with family and friends. Love the French feel of some of my old haunts in New Orleans. Menu is varied enough to satisfy tastes from ages 10 to 65.

I love everything about the Odeon, from the decor to the service including, of course, the food. I actually admit to almost always eating the same, the stater might vary but after that I find the steak frites difficult to resist, and their ice creams always call out to me for dessert. I have been there for dinner with friends,... More

Although food was good and the service excellent. Compared to our other dining in NY is was a little disappointing. The homemade pasta dish was heavy and a little dry. The other 3 guest enjoyed hamburgers but you can get a good burger in many places.

We were in NYC and didn't need any more fancy, schmanzy places to eat so friends recommended The Odeon. It was exactly what we needed after a fast paced weekend in the Big Apple. The service was excellent; friendly and efficient. Servings are on the large size, but not so big that you feel you have to share. The Bloody... More

Restaurant claims to be French but it is French inspired American cousine. I had the french onion soup and it was a bit disappointing but the burger with the Gruyere cheese was excellent. We were in a big group and the service was great, however, the restaurant was pushing us to get the tables freed up at 8pm. It is... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
