I couldn't help but feel the pretentiousness of this restaurant from the get go. Everything feels a bit too "precious" and that is not always a welcome dining experience if you're not quite prepared for it, and unfortunately, I wasn't. The "amuse bouche", however, certainly settles one into a VERY comfortable state once those asparagus skewers hit your palate --... More

Took my husband to this restaurant as a surprise birthday present. Wow what a memorable dinner. Because it was our first time visiting and friends gave different opinions on the restaurant I decided to purchase a Gilt, and try the restaurant by sampling their items. Being in the hospitality industry, service is everything to me. Everyone was great! From the... More

Love the asparagus and they are worth the trip, however, did not love my cod. Overly sweet and oily. Kobe steak four ways was the best at our table. The atmosphere is awesome. A fun place to celebate, but I would let the staff order. This is a trendy taste restaurant and it is an "experience".

Awesome place with very knowledgable and friendly (surprisingly) staff. The food was incredibly fresh and presentation was top notch. The have a very serviceable wine list which was not expected at a Japanese restaurant. The ambiance and decor is really cool and felt warm and inviting

We used to go to Megu Midtown a lot for brunch and decided to try out this Megu in tribecca. Nice deco a relax and fun environment. Service was great everyone was friendly and helpful. The only bit I have to say is the food, it tasted well but not exciting. I liked the appetizers I think they are creative... More

Out waiter was knowledgeable, attentive and friendly, but the food took forever. The soup was below par but the sushi was outstanding. The decor is a little tired, almost like the restaurant is a second thought to the bar/nightclub scene in the back.

I threw a party here and was extremely happy with both the service and food. The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance, presentation and the staff is very helpful. I have returned twice since for a dinner and lunch and both times I was impressed. I would however suggest that you try it for dinner where the menu is more extensive.... More

The restaurant is Japanese, it has a beautiful decor and the food is nice, very fresh! Only downside, maybe a bit to expensive for what your getting. Couple of hundred is nothing, therefor some deduction in appreciation! And they add there own 20% (!) tip to the bill, luckily leVing some room for you to add more! I am used... More
