had a delicious dinner at megu where everything was enjoyed by our group. we had about six assorted hand rolls as well as a few different appetizers. it wasn't the best sushi ever, but it was really good. the shrimp appetizer was really tasty. the goat cheese appetizer was good too but a bit of an odd flavor combination with... Ok the place is nicely decorated and clean but the over priced Kobe and sushi not worth it. I guess that is what you pay for ..the ice sculpture. The service was not that great either. The place was empty at 9pm on a Friday Night.... Did we miss the memo.......I wish I could say more. Jerry Ehrlich from the... More

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday, and it certainly was a memorable experience. When you first come downstairs, the first thing you notice is exceptional design. There's an ice Buddha sculpture in the center of the dining room "floating" in water and rose petals— it's absolutely beautiful. The food can be described as modern Japanese cuisine offering sushi,... More

Was taken to this restaurant by someone who provides services to our company. It was VERY overpriced!! The 6 oz steak $98 (Kobe beef) but absolutely outrageous. The wine list was very pricey and the entire place was not comfortable to be at. Very pretentious! We arrived at 6:30 p.m. on a Tuesday night and the bar was empty-no one... More

The food was great as was the atmosphere. However we had a waiter, presumably a manager as he was wearing a suit. IT seemed like he really didn't want to be there and he was not happy to serve us. Thus one felt like we couldn't really ask him for what we wanted.

Exquisite decor, great bartender making lychee coladas, and charming servers. A gilt city coupon allowed us a three course dinner for two with fantastic choices. The food was heavenly and artfully prepared.will definitely return even without coupon.

I visited Megu using a voucher I purchased from either Groupon, LivingSocial, TravelZoo...you all know the kind. This voucher claimed to be worth a particular value but at almost half the price, that is could not have been true as the menu for voucher patrons was completely different from those willing to pay full price. I was shocked that Megu... More

Thought I'd try Megu after many years of eating at Nobu. Got the $150 tasting menu. The ambiance is wonderful, with just the right level of background music and a gradually melting Buddha ice sculpture next to our table. Service was excellent. Arrival time of the food over the course of the evening was well thought out. The meal was,... More

Megu 62nd Thomas Street (Tribeca) Cuisine: Japanese Megu looks very nice. It has a unique and interesting design, from the impressive sushi counter and the fancy floor lamps to the cool mirrors in the restrooms area. Still, it was almost empty at 9pm on a monday evening. We ordered a nigiri mix, the maguro/chutoro/otoro set was not comparable to other... More
