Wander the streets during lunch or dinner time and enjoy the waiters from the different restaurants trying to coax you into their place. A playful banter between waiters takes place and just adds to the fun.

We walked up from Chinatown and wish we had left more time to explore here. Would have loved to spend time browsing, drinking cappuccino and eating desserts!

Little Italy was a nice surprise you can easily walk most of the area in a couple of hours with endless great little bakery's and restaurants. Sidewalks are busy but it has a very local feel, great selection of gift shops much cheaper than tourist areas. It's a must see great dinner destination

Little Italy has so much history and so much to soak up and enjoy! From the old streets to the Italian restaurants and bakeries lining the streets, to the gentleman with Italian accents looking to lure you in for a fabulous meal. The pizza is incredible, the zeppolis and sausage n peppers during the San Gennaro feast are delicious! Overall... More

It was Christmas time. All the cafés, restaurants & shops were exquisitely decorated. Great choice of eating places with friendly welcomes. Loved exploring the Italian deli & food shops.

Had a great little lunch, booked through a tour bus ticket. I had chicken parm and my daughter had lasagna. It was delicious and the service was excellent. Small restaurant but cozy and the ambiance was great.

Large lighted green and red bows strung across the streets welcome you to a neat, clean neighborhood. Wonderful holiday decorations adorn the many inviting restaurants and authentic Italian meat and cheese shops. Nothing more to say- except, Little Italy NYC A Must Go- Mangia, Mangia !

Lots and lots of Italian eateries...and gelato bars. It's full of tourists, so not really authentic anymore...but a great place for lunch or dinner. And Chinatown is a block away?

Fast service. We hit a busy time and we where kinda pushed to leave since we where only snacking. I thought that was a little rude. So we ordered more food and loved the food and sites...

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
