Love this Place

Great people watching, especially on the weekends. The food is generally pretty good. The desserts are also very good.

The area is a shadow of its former self. There are still some good Italian restaurants and pastry shops in the neighborhood. There is a lot of history about the Italian American community throughout the area. A must stop is Ferrara's bakery for delicious Gelato, coffee and pastry treats!

This place is full of wonderful aromas and lots of Italian restaurants. I don't think you can make a bad choice of venue. Lots of activity and opportunities for people watching.

Always full of people, food and fun. Lively waiters calling from the front doors of the restaurants, shopping and italian food everywhere..what more could you ask for.

After arriving at our hotel from LGA walked down the street (45th) a couple of blocks to Little Italy. We had seen some good reviews on Trip Advisor. Ordered a big slice of Chicken Marsala and Portobello mushroom pizza and a soda. Walked right next door to a small park and had a nice little picnic. First time in NYC.... More

Little Italy might just be my favorite place in the city. The people are rude yet helpful for some odd reason. Great great eats. You must try some cannolis and meatballs, not together but they are to die for!

This is a must stop for us each time we come to the Big Apple. It has such quaint restaurants. Just take your time and enjoy the view, smells and walking in the streets listening to the noises of this little piece of New York.

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
