Little Italy might just be my favorite place in the city. The people are rude yet helpful for some odd reason. Great great eats. You must try some cannolis and meatballs, not together but they are to die for!

This is a must stop for us each time we come to the Big Apple. It has such quaint restaurants. Just take your time and enjoy the view, smells and walking in the streets listening to the noises of this little piece of New York.

We had lunch there on Aug.10/2015 and had the chicken parmesan. We started with a delightful focaccia bread with the most mouthwatering oil/garlic/basil to pour over our focaccia bread....this was simply heavenly . We were given our chicken parm and pasta and my taste buds took me back 55 yrs to when I was a child living in our "little... More

Nested in a cute Italian neighborhood in NYC, Little Italy brings Italy to you with all the restaurants , trattorias, and pizzerias. It also has lots of souvenirs and shops. Don't forget to eat the best Canollis at Caffe Palermo and calzones at Sal's. It is also across from Chinatown.

Small and simple restaurants but Great food. Try the sangria for starters then on to the delicious entrees. Chicken parm was fab as was the manifesto. We had a late lunch and loved it. We will return!

This is one of my favorite part of NYC but it is sadly getting swallowed alive by Chinatown. Mulberry street is so charming and there are so many great restaurants all around. The food and drinks there are all very good and decently priced. Great place to go walk around and enjoy a few drinks outside near the sidewalk and... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
