It was National Cassoulet Week and Le jardine did the dish proud (with enough for me to take home!)! And the other dishs in our group, Coq Au vVin and Chicken Calvados, were also spot on! The 1$ oysters were excellent as was the welcome and service. I think that the prices were reasonable and the wine list small but... More

We were seated upstairs in a very attractive, warm, room next to the fireplace which was welcome on a very cold day. Food-- our first courses were very nice; a fish soup and onion soup were copious and delicious. Main courses were very salty and lacked any refinement. I had "cornish hen" which seemed to be chicken (or the NY... More

If you are french food fan you must go to this place. In warm weather you can eat out side under there grapevines. The service was very good and the food was just to die for.

Maybe one of NYC's finest? This is an out-of-the-way little bistro that combines ambiance and food in a way that spells romance. It's tiny - be sure to get a reservation, but the food is a simple French fare (very well prepared), a nice wine list, and all with a low-key elegance that makes one forget NYC's outside. Make this... More

Our group of 4 chose this restaurant because we wanted the quiet of the garden and also because the menu looked interesting. The garden is charming but not overly fancy and despite the fact that they weren't busy, we were given a corner table with 2 of us facing a fence and dirty shovel. Our waiter spoke very softly and... We went for our anniversary dinner. The food was very good. Not fancy French, but down-home cooking. Cassoulet and salmon, pate and mushroom soup. All very well done. The staff was friendly - letting us sit on a cold night even though we arrived almost 30 min before opening time. The only thing we didn't understand is the "most romantic"... More

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday last week. I had not realized that they had a mid-week prix fixe menu ($25 for app, entree and dessert), which made the meal rather affordable. The food was rather good. The mussels were very well done in a not-too-overwhelming sauce, and the cassoulet was rather rich and had interesting flavors. For dessert,... More

I've written about this restaurant before and always liked it. Was back last night to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We ate in the garden despite the threat of rain and got lucky and stayed dry. The garden is nice because being outside keeps the noise level low as the sound can escape, so though it was crowded, conversation was easy.... More

Lovely french bistro serving classic french fare. The french-accented service is a treat.
