before coming to nyc, we had bianca bookmarked. so when we heard that this was our friend's (he's italian) favorite italian restaurant in manhattan, we had to go. here is what we ordered: - tagliolini ai frutti di mare ($14) - clams, mussels, calamari and shrimps sautéed in garlic, evo and light tomato sauce. - tagliatelle alla bolognese ($11.50) -... This small, always packed, convivial restaurant is one of our neighborhood favorites. The food- many dishes from Emilia Romagna, is always on point: Rich lasagna; Tagliatelle with Bolognese ragu (if wild mushroom ragu is one of the specials, order it!); Spiedini di Mare; Mussels......are what we order most often. Wines are reasonable and well chosen. The expert waitstaff keeps everything... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the City. Great homemade pasta. The lasagna, mussels, gnocci, and tiramisu are all delicious. It's cash only and they don't take reservations, but you can put your name in and the host will come find you in the wine bar next door when your table is ready. Great, cozy atmosphere and the... The bartender at our hotel offhandedly mentioned this as one of his many recommendations for us to walk to dinner. Thank you Mr. Bartender! It's a small, dark, intimate restaurant. We didn't have reservations on a Friday night so they sent us next door to a little bar until our table opened up. Not even 30 minutes later they came... More

I've been here for dinner with my roommate, the food is excellent. The waitress was actually Italian and very friendly. I had the beef, it was, by far one of the best beef I had in North America.

Visited Bianca 3 years ago after reading reviews. Loved it then and its still a favorite. Staff is friendly and attentive. We were rushed because of a reservation for a show and the waitress was great about getting our order in and out quickly. Food is wonderful. Good portions but not huge. Fresh, excellent quality. Absolutely order the garlic mussels.... More

This Osteria was recommended by my friend Sherry after we had been to an Italian wine tasting at Aster Wines a few blocks away. We arrived in time to beat the crowd. It soon became obvious why it was so popular. I started with the Passatelli In Brodo soup (breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, spaghetti in chicken broth) for my entree Tagliolini... More

No bookings. Cash only. That's easy to sort out. Bring cash and get there early. Limited range but seriously cheap wine $24 for Falanghina. Pastas are $11.50. Bit more for seafood. Try the gnocchi. Try the caprese salad the mushroom fettuccine special was so good. And the Tiramisu. Nothing detracts from the experience and the bill does not hurt. 10... More

Classic Italian food with a small twist. Flavours of dishes we set were excellent. The staff were quick to turn tables over bug not in, a rush you out the door situation. The fruit to misto was very flavoursome, and lasagna was very rich, full of flavour and satasfying. Very very busy. Go early.

Having read reviews on Bianca before travelling to NYC I was very excited and the place managed to exceed my expectations! The owner is a lovely man and although there's a wait he sends you to the bar next door to have a drink while you wait. The food was AMAZING, the best pasta I have ever tried! If you... More
