Great food

The food here is great, it's cheap and very tasty! They don't take bookings, it's cramped, very noisy and cash only. If you can deal with that, it's a must. The muscles (entree, but huge!) are to die for!

This is a wonderful small local restaurant that reminds me very much of something you would find in Paris. Service was very attentive the ambiance is eclectic The food was out of this world. I had the gnocchi and it was the best I have ever had including dinner's in Venice.

They don't take bookings here, so we arrived before 7pm. We got a table, but it was filling up, and by 7.30pm it was packed. The atmosphere was great and the staff nice and friendly. The menus arrived and it was becoming clear why this is a popular place - it's cheap for NYC. Starters for ten bucks, mains for... More

We are regular visitors to New York from Australia and always eat at this place at least once each trip. Food is terrific, excellent selection of Italian wines, really friendly management and incredibly cheap. It's noisy, very small and seemingly (but not actually) chaotic. In short it's everything you should be looking for in TriBeCa in a restaurant! You always... More

I have eaten at this restaurant a few times. You could say it is a hole in the wall place but the food is absolutely wonderful. The place is tight like a lot of small restaurants in NYC but that just adds to the charm of the place.

before coming to nyc, we had bianca bookmarked. so when we heard that this was our friend's (he's italian) favorite italian restaurant in manhattan, we had to go. here is what we ordered: - tagliolini ai frutti di mare ($14) - clams, mussels, calamari and shrimps sautéed in garlic, evo and light tomato sauce. - tagliatelle alla bolognese ($11.50) -... This small, always packed, convivial restaurant is one of our neighborhood favorites. The food- many dishes from Emilia Romagna, is always on point: Rich lasagna; Tagliatelle with Bolognese ragu (if wild mushroom ragu is one of the specials, order it!); Spiedini di Mare; Mussels......are what we order most often. Wines are reasonable and well chosen. The expert waitstaff keeps everything... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the City. Great homemade pasta. The lasagna, mussels, gnocci, and tiramisu are all delicious. It's cash only and they don't take reservations, but you can put your name in and the host will come find you in the wine bar next door when your table is ready. Great, cozy atmosphere and the... The bartender at our hotel offhandedly mentioned this as one of his many recommendations for us to walk to dinner. Thank you Mr. Bartender! It's a small, dark, intimate restaurant. We didn't have reservations on a Friday night so they sent us next door to a little bar until our table opened up. Not even 30 minutes later they came... More

I've been here for dinner with my roommate, the food is excellent. The waitress was actually Italian and very friendly. I had the beef, it was, by far one of the best beef I had in North America.
