We love trekking down to Little Italy when in NYC and recently found Pellegrino's - it's delicious, reasonable and centrally located. The chicken piccata was perfect.

For delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere this is the place,we had a wonderful meal Saturday evening. The atmosphere of Little Italy was perfect as we sat outside and enjoyed some of the best Italian food I have ever had, it rounded off a wonderful weekend in New York City, can't wait to go back.

We stopped to grab a starter after work and ordered the fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, pepperoncini, yellow peppers and olive plate. Delish, although we had to drizzle more olive oil over it. They brought us a bread basket, which was not so good. Their version of Sicilian Marguerite pizza (in little pieces in the basket) was bland and gooey. We... More

A party of 11 of us booked in for my birthday after seeing good reviews. We had no idea where to go for food since we are tourists. Got off on the wrong foot at first as was half an hour late but I did ring ahead to appologise as I was stuck in traffic due to president arriving. I... More

If you love Italian food and great atmosphere. go to Pellegrino's on Mulberry Street in Little Italy. Great service with an unhurried approach to dining. A place where you can relax and enjoy the food and "old world" neighborhood.

Very nice people and service. They have a fairly good wine list and it is reasonably priced. The artichoke special was very good but all the rest of the food terrible. The sea bass special could have been excellent but pairing it with an eggplant, peppers, olives and tomatoes just overwhelmed the fish. The veal was over cooked. The pastas... More

I was at Pellegrinos a number of years ago and was very pleased. Therefore I went back this time, but I regret it terribly. I had the frutti di mare, and the way I remember it, it was very tasty with olive oil, garlic, chili and parsley. Now it was drenched in tomato sauce and completely without finesse. The seafood... Have been to Pellegrino's several times, and consistently receive excellent service and great food! The lobster ravioli special this past visit was excellent!

Showed up about 7:30 pm on a Saturday night and got seated inside without a reservation (there was only one other empty table inside). Service was great! We ordered two pasta dishes - one with a vodka sauce and one with a cream sauce/asparagus/pancetta. Both were "better than average" pasta dishes - we were quite pleased. Nice bread service (though... I was very disappointed with the very basic meal that I ordered. I could have went to my local pizzeria & had the same quality meal. Not worth the $50 parking... Shrimp was salty, sauce had way too much better. There are many better options in Little Italy.
