Perfect food

ABC Kitchen is about simple, fresh and delicious food made effortless. The best restaurant in NYC I've been so far. Not pretentious, but charming. Perfect.

Going in with a lot of expectations for lunch, but leaving feeling only mediocre. For a restaurant that stress on fresh, I found the food being very heavy. May be it is what we ordered. My friend ordered the ricotta ravioli, he couldn't finish half. Another friend ordered the prix-fixe carbonara, and found the sauce too creamy. I had the... More

I ordered wrong but since the restaurant gave us a taster of soup and appetizer, I knew it was me, not them. Well priced, and a good place for a late evening dinner.

I really don't like the concept of having to call 29 days out and redialing to get a reservation anywhere, but this place is worth it. Interesting venue, interesting menu, service a little too perky, but the best chocolate cake (with meringue frosting) I have ever eaten. Does anyone have the recipe? Everything we tried: 2 appetizers, 4 mains, one... More

Had a really nice dinner. The restaurant is more casual than a fine dining but the food was excellent. All their ingredients are sourced locally as are their plates. The specials were fresh and interesting. The night we were tere, Seth Myers was at the next table.

I ate lunch here on my own because I had read such good reviews. It was delicious and the room is large enough that you don't feel self conscious your on your own. Beautiful fresh produce and well presented. Loved it.

To be clear, I really liked ABC Kitchen, but I think the hype is far ahead of the reality. The food is good, the service is good, the restaurant has a good vibe, and the wine selection is adequate+. And that's actually okay.

Wife and I were in NYC celebrating our wedding anniversary and she took to Tripadvisor to find a good spot for our dinner. We walked here from Times Square and really enjoyed our meal. We had a few drinks at a bar next door waiting for ABC to open and were promptly seated. The inside is decorated very unique and... More

Good service, nice selection of wines and fresh tasting food make this a place I will happily revisit. The fixed price lunchtime menu is pretty reasonable too! If your in New York and your experience is anything like ours you will enjoy.

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
