great place

The place has a nice decor and from the start it was clear that we are going to get a great meal (at a NYC price :-) All the dishes where great, and there is also a nice selection of wines and beers.

Its a nice place to have brunch and hang out with friends. The tuna its delicious, the lobster is very good and the fried calamari are a must. I didn´t like the burger or the fries (they were greasy, soft and not crunchy at all) The atmosphere is great and the service is excellent.

Oh my. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants. Excellent service and what a beautiful ambiance! It looks super classy in pictures and though it is, there is also a very comfortable not-snobby feel when you're inside. The food is very fresh, and from my friend who has been a fan for years, he told me this place is one... More

I had an excellent bass dish beautifully presented and excellently prepared. My friend had a kale salad, which was also excellent. I never miss this place when I am in New York.

We enjoyed a family dinner (all adults) to celebrate a birthday. It is beautifully decorated and the service is friendly and very attentive even though it was fully booked! The food was very nice with fresh produce and seasonal offerings. It did get quite loud and was difficult to hear others at own table and the lights were very dim... More

I visited the ABC for brunch with a friend in February 2016. We were a walk in and despite being there bang on for the 11.00 opening, we only just got a table. I would definitely recommend making a reservation. We had omelettes, eggs, cocktails and home fries along with coffee. Service was great and the food was fantastic. It... More

Chic, fun, interesting and totally delicious! Plus a lot of celebs dine here (with saw a famous couple with their kids off to the side dinning). The servers were young and energetic with lots of information. The food is flavorful and innovative. Cool bar scene too! Bon Appetit!

If you don't book in advance then aim to arrive around 11:45am and queue outside for a 12pm opening and hope to get one of the tables left for walk-ins. We didn't have a problem and were seated quickly in the main dining room. The food was excellent, especially the raviolo which had ricotta cheese and egg yolk enveloped inside... More

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
