Great Choice!!!

Had a gift certificate to a nearby restaurant which turned out to be closed for a private event. We walked around the neighborhood and saw ABC kitchen....I had heard of it but it was not on my radar. We walked in after chatting with two girls out front who raved about it...We had no reservation but... read more

George V gets it very right once again! Unlike most of his other places, and while still rather pricey for the tiny portions, you can dine here and not fully empty your wallet or purse! Go, as the food (which has a healthy orientation) is devine and the eclectic decor is fun. Service is up to standards too.

Make reservations! This is a very popular restaurant. It deserves the great reviews that it has on Yelp. Great healthy choices on the menu. Small plates (our preference) offer good sized portions. We were standing out front trying to find the place when we realized we were there. Outside window - not so much. Inside is much larger than expected.... More

ABC kitchen I've been trying to eat at this restaurant for several years but every time something comes up and I don't get a chance. I finally had my chance this past weekend and it was worth the wait! The unassuming exterior makes it hard to even know where this restaurant is located. We walked right by! Thankfully Google Maps... We were recommended to come here by quite a few friends and it did not disappoint. The restaurant itself is really quite unusual but definitely also quite beautiful. The food was FANTASTIC.

We had been there before for brunch and enjoyed the excellent food. Last night however was disappointing. Fluke hopelessly over spiced, calamari overcooked, scallops so so and pork fine. But a long way from the delicate dishes that made us come back..

We visited recently and had a good dinner. Not exceptional, but pretty good. The atmosphere is very hip and chic. We had the cheese and meat appetizer which was ok. I had the mushroom and egg pizza which was very good. My husband had the fried chicken with greens and tobacco butter which was good, not great. The fries were... More

I enjoyed this place and collectively we chose very broadly from the menu. It was all very good, except the pizza (Why did you order that, here, my wife asked? She was right!) I did find it a little expensive, but not outrageously so. Our waiter was actually a little too nice ... too perky, but he was efficient and... More

I recommended this place to Wifey thinking that it would be a simple and gluttonous feed (obviously not knowing what it was all about). I couldn't have been more mistaken. The menu was a refined and considered collection of seafoods and local produce. Service and wine recommendations were excellent. Above all though, the food was faultless. It was definitely worth... Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
