Description: One of America’s most beloved restaurants, Gramercy Tavern has welcomed guests for close to two decades to enjoy seasonal American cuisine, warm hospitality and unparalleled service. The restaurant is perennially ranked at the top of Zagat Survey’s ‘Most Popular’ list, and has garnered eight James Beard Awards including ‘Outstanding Restaurant’ and ‘Best Chef: NYC’. Chef Michael Anthony’s highly seasonal menu consists of elegant dishes with a rustic influence that showcase the restaurant’s relationships with local farms and purveyors. The Main Dining Room serves prix-fixe menus starting at $88 for dinner and an a la carte menu for lunch, and accepts reservations 28 days in advance. The more casual Tavern serves an a la carte menu centered around the wood burning grill, and welcomes guests on a walk-in basis. The restaurant also features an acclaimed wine list, and thoughtfully selected beer and cocktail offerings.

After my last review, Gramercy Tavern gave me a call and spent some time with me on the phone talking about what happened during my last experience. This, in and of itself, was impressive and would have ensured a return. On my next visit to NYC we took another client (a New Yorker who had never been) and, start to... More

The staff at the gramercy tavern were wonderful, making our evening really special with a complementary glass of champagne and congratulations message on our dessert plate! Food was wonderful, totally recommend!

This was a gat restaurant to visit, we loved. The welcome was excellent very friendly and the staff were super confident which I just love. The wine list was something to write home about, a good thick stock of excellent wines from around the world, my other half was in his element. We ordered champagne to get the afternoon started... We went to the Gramercy Tavern for lunch on our last day in the city. We have wanted to check this place out for a very long time as we had heard nothing but great things about it. We arrived for lunch at 2 pm on a Saturday and did not have to wait at all. From the second we... More

Came here alone for lunch. Sat at the bar with a number of other solo diners. No need to pre-book if you just intend to sit at the bar and are flying solo. Had the most delicious sandwich that is a regular on the bar menu. Other options on the menu all looked yummo! Really nice vibe. Beautiful decor. Would... More

I had a wonderful lunch, sitting at the bar. The wine was delicious, the butternut squash lasagna superb, as were the cappuccino and cookies for dessert. I've been to the Gramercy Tavern several times before and was not so impressed. I'm no foodie, but I could be one after this meal! I imagine they get their fresh vegetables from the... More

for those who can get an easy reservation, i envy you. for those others, prepare to wait. even a chair at the bar has its own waitlist. but all the cocktails, food and desserts are reasonably good enough to warrant the waiting time. cocktails were very nice and nicely mixed. they have a reasonably nice and reasonably priced wine list.... We went here for a friends birthday. The atmosphere and food were incredible and the price for 4 of us was great. three courses and drinks for £50 approx head Five star service, friendly and relaxed but with a high end feel in the bar. The restaurant has a formal fine dining restaurant in the back. All this and Jessica... More

My wife and I visited NYC for our 10yr and booked Gramercy as early as possible. I of course read all the reviews of how great this place is so naturally we wanted to experience what it was all about. This is one of many Danny Meyer restaurants in the city. It is part of the Union Square Hospitality Group... More

We had always wanted to try this place, and it didn't disappoint. First, the staff (our waitress Angela, I think?): lovely and professional. The couple we were with got stuck in NYC traffic, but instead of warning us that our time at the table was limited, they told us to relax and enjoy our dinner. It was such a relief... More
