Description: One of America’s most beloved restaurants, Gramercy Tavern has welcomed guests for close to two decades to enjoy seasonal American cuisine, warm hospitality and unparalleled service. The restaurant is perennially ranked at the top of Zagat Survey’s ‘Most Popular’ list, and has garnered eight James Beard Awards including ‘Outstanding Restaurant’ and ‘Best Chef: NYC’. Chef Michael Anthony’s highly seasonal menu consists of elegant dishes with a rustic influence that showcase the restaurant’s relationships with local farms and purveyors. The Main Dining Room serves prix-fixe menus starting at $92 for dinner and an a la carte menu for lunch, and accepts reservations 28 days in advance. The more casual Tavern serves an a la carte menu centered around the wood burning grill, and welcomes guests on a walk-in basis. The restaurant also features an acclaimed wine list, and thoughtfully selected beer and cocktail offerings.

This restaurant was on our hit list, visiting from Australia we wanted to experience some amazing restaurants and we werent dissapointed. It is a little out of the way but we walked from our accommodation in Times Square (AKA apartments) to the restaurant and it took about 15 mins. And it was worth it!!! the restaurant is was beautiful, very... More

Hard to believe this is annually voted "new yorker's favorite restaurant". Don't get me wrong this Danny Meyer spot is top notch and hard to get into. The menu is seasonal and offers a 3 or 5 course fixed menu for dinner. The restaurant is well decorated and has great warmth to it. The staff is extremely professional, well groomed... More

When visiting the city, we always try to make time for Gramercy Tavern. The food is always excellent. We usually end up in the bar because we do not have reservations. Tables are close, but you always meet some interesting people to chat with. Menu changes with seasonal foods. Please go. It is worth it.

I was expecting a great meal here. Unfortunately, the wait staff kept bumping into me. I don't mean once or twice. I was bumped into 30 or 40 times during my meal by at least five different servers. If I had been sitting in a place where there was little room behind my chair I'd be a little more understanding... More

Gramercy Tavern continues to be one of the best restaurants in NYC. The menu is not flexible, your choice is either a 3 course meal or a 5 one to be selected from the recommended dishes. We ordered 9 different dishes and they were all as good as it gets. The flavors were exceptional with the presentation of each being... More

First time at the Gramercy Tavern and it won't be my last. The amazing atmosphere as you walk in and impeccable service make for an extraordinary experience. Walked in with no reservation at 1pm and even though they were moderately busy the put the two of us at a table for four right away instead of waiting for a two-seater... More

There were things I liked and did not like about the famous Gramercy Tavern. My table of 4 did the tasting menu. 6 courses plus a few little treats from the chef. What I liked: the staff. Attitude, timing, presence, etc were just spot on perfect. Such a delight. They were absolutely fantastic- and i might even add they were... More

The food was superb and I recommend the tasting menu, with wine parings by your server. It was a night to remember foodwise, but the service was the very best--on a par with several three star michelin restaurants I have visited in France. Despite the large venue, noise was not a problem at all. We will return... when we can... More

Always nice to come here on our first day in New York .Dont need a reservation for the Tavern but best to get there early.Very attentive waiter asked if we had time constraints-we did as we had tickets for a matinee..Seemless service-great oysters and perfectly cooked Arctic char- a sort of cross between salmon and trout.

We went for our 8th anniversary dinner. The service was impeccable and the food was to die for. The wine and drinks list was the most extensive I've ever seen. If you want a special dinner make the effort to go here!
