Description: One of America’s most beloved restaurants, Gramercy Tavern has welcomed guests for close to two decades to enjoy seasonal American cuisine, warm hospitality and unparalleled service. The restaurant is perennially ranked at the top of Zagat Survey’s ‘Most Popular’ list, and has garnered eight James Beard Awards including ‘Outstanding Restaurant’ and ‘Best Chef: NYC’. Chef Michael Anthony’s highly seasonal menu consists of elegant dishes with a rustic influence that showcase the restaurant’s relationships with local farms and purveyors. The Main Dining Room serves prix-fixe menus starting at $92 for dinner and an a la carte menu for lunch, and accepts reservations 28 days in advance. The more casual Tavern serves an a la carte menu centered around the wood burning grill, and welcomes guests on a walk-in basis. The restaurant also features an acclaimed wine list, and thoughtfully selected beer and cocktail offerings.

We were lucky to get a table here as we'd left booking too late and were prepared to turn up and wait. After about 30 minutes we were seated in bar area. We were offered a table in the restaurant but were up for a more relaxed evening. Whilst we waited we took advantage of trying out the cocktails and... More

This is a well established NYC restaurant where you can expect truly gourmet food in an elegant setting. This is a place we often come to celebrate special occasions. The menu changes often but whatever fish is offered is always fresh and prepared in a special way. The meats are always tasty and cooked to perfection as well. This place... More

It has been sometime since we visited New York City and we wanted to eat at one of our favorite restaurants Gramercy Tavern. We were not disappointed. Once again we had a fabulous tasting menu with wine pairings suggested by the waiter. The food was fabulously prepared and an interesting combination. The wines that the waiter suggested were unique paired... More

We were referred by a friend to Gramercy Tavern. He was insistent that we eat in the dining room and not in the Tavern. Time did not allow for this so we went with the Tavern menu and just had appetizers. I had the Fluke Tartarre and the pate and both were absolutely delicious! The bartenders were courteous, professional and... More

Went at lunchtime; very busy but then again it was not as big as I thought it would be. We were in the Tavern.

The service was not top rate eapecially for the price. Not good values. Very over rated. Ordered a bottle of white wine and they were leaving it on the table. I had to ask to keep it chilled. They did not know how to serve wine to keep it at proper temp. They were filling our glasses too often. Generally... More

I've been to The Dining Room, for a dinner with my girlfriend. The welcome was very friendly, only problem having to wait 20 minutes for our table. Our waiter was friendly and he suggest us a good bootle of Cristom Pinot Noir. The first course and second course were exceptional, the desserts were amazing!

The Tavern had very reasonably priced great tasting food. Very loud and crowded. The desserts were just average.

My husband reserved our table 4 weeks out during our trip the city. We were unfortunately running late but the restaurant called us before giving away our table and were kind enough to switch our time to a half hour later, never making us feel badly or that it was a problem though it was a busy friday night. We... More

I bar dine whenever I go here. Everyone should go here once. Of course we all know it's famous for being a Danny Meyer establishment and that's all well and good. However, the food is just always spot on and the service friendly. It serves as a reminder that great restaurants are great because of the people and the culture... More
