Been going to this place on and off. Tried it again and tried some new desserts - carrot cake (Delish!!!!) and Strawberry shortcake - one person version - what a treat!!!. This place never disappoints...

The strawberry cheesecake is amazing! Very creamy, light not too sweet and very tasty! The place has been there for more than 100 years, the owners are very nice too. If you are craving a real new york cheesecake thats the place to go!

This is a great late night place for a dessert. I tried the cheesecake, which was good, but the vanilla cannoli was to die for! I had good, quick service, and only had to wait about 5 minutes for table.

The hardest part of dining at Veniero's (pronounced like De Niro's but with a V) is deciding which of their hundreds of treats to try. On a quest to discover New York's finest cheesecake, I was lured to Veniero's by the promise of the Italian/Sicilian variety, which I had never tried before. Made with ricotta (and eggs) instead of cream... More

As a native New Yorker, Veniero's became THE place to bring visitors after dinner to enjoy Italian pastries and wonderful coffee. After being away from NYC for 10 years, I was very much looking forward to visiting again. It was disappointing: the pastries lacked flavor and tasted as though they had been in the case at least 3 days. The... More

Put this on your bucket list because this bakery is long established and you can wait and carryout or sit down in the inside cafe to experience really amazing baked goods. New York's finest!

A real classic place. Been going here for 50 years but it was really fixed up about 15 years ago with fancy new tables and counter. I liked it better old school. The wait staff is old school as well and now there are a lot of tourists and others who do not know the routine of ordering and clog... More

A friend showed me this place after dinner and suggested we get pastries from here rather than a dessert at the restaurant. There was so much choice and this was later in the day (after 6.30pm) and there was everything you could want (unlike at the Cake Boss bakery where they run out of all the popular items!). We ordered... More

I heard so much about this place and I thought I would really enjoy it. Instead it was a fairly average experience and I don't see myself going back. I think it's either you love Italian pastries or you don't. I'm generally not crazy about them but some are still better than others... this was just OK. I tried cheesecake,... More
