Dessert Heaven!

We walked all the way across the East Village to find this place late Friday Night, and we were not disappointed that we had. The Desserts are absolutely amazing! This is all that they serve. We had Tiramisu and New York Style Cheese cake with our coffees. They were both excellent. We had already... read more

I have NEVER understood the appeal of this place. I can only conclude that Twinkie and Hostess junkies shifted their affections to Veniero's when they got older and had more money and heard their sugar-junkie friends raving about it. Nothing in this establishment is in any way charming, delicious, or refined (except the sugar). Even thinking about the cloying Italian... More

This place is outstanding! If you are looking for a high quality dessert place, this is it! It's been around for more than 100 years and rightfully so. This is a great place to go and have dessert and coffee. It's hard to choose because they have so many delectable treats. I am looking forward coming back!

NYC is known for their cheesecake, but this place blows it out of the water! It has been around for ages for a reason. While not on a main street, you must make this a stop. The NYC cheesecake is the lightest and smoothest I have ever tasted. We also had the tiramisu cake and it was delicious. The cakes... More

I stop here every time in NYC and this place is in the same street where I stay (dangerous as I can drop in 4 times a week) I have tried most of the little cakes on display and they certainly transport you to Italy. Without fail I always take home a Tiramisu WOW this is beautiful. The chocolate cannoli... More

We made three trips here during our week in New York, as we loved this place so much. The café has charming old-fashioned décor, with ornate tiles and mirrors. The cakes and pastries are delicious. We unanimously agreed that the carrot cake is one of the best we have ever tasted. The staff were completely lovely to us as well.... More

A truly delicious experience. If you can wait buy an assortment of pastries, & cookies to take home & enjoy, or sit down with a cup of what you like, a pastry/ baba, cookie & enjoy.

I went here with friends, having been here some time ago. This time I was a bit disappointed. I had the key lime pie which is seasonable. It didn't taste like lime at all. However the others I was with really enjoyed their dessert. I've had wonderful desserts there in the past and the cannoli is especially good. There is... More

We headed here for some cannolis and ended up walking out with a box full of delicious goodies all for just over $10US. Great value for the quality of stuff. Just going into the bakery was worth the experience to look at all the tasty options they had available to choose from. If you are a dessert person, put this... More

A traditional pastry and bakery shop provides an authetic taste of italian pastry in NYC. It is definitely worth to give it a trial even it is not close to the tourism area. We just tried mixed berries tart for this time and the pastry was crunchy and the berries were fresh ! Really can't wait to try again !

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
