Very special place

The famous hot chocolates! I've been there with my 2 friends, and we shared 2 desserts because the servings are sooo big. We had the best apple pie and chocolate sundaes! Loved the interior of the restaurant. It's a neat, special place to go, if you want a special treat, celebrate or go on a date... read more

We went to this restaurant after a cruise on circle line with our 2 grandsons. We had a reservation but were ealier than expected. Got right in and enjoyed our wonderful lunch. Dessert sundae was fantastic.

My daughter recommend this place but we found it overrated. The guys that take your name are rude probably because the wait area is small and the lines are long. I guess I would get annoyed too. We only tried the desserts and they were okay. A bit pricey. If it's crowded, wait outside, they will go outside to call... More

We stopped by Serendipity3 on recommendations from family. This is a quaint little restaurant on 60th that has a huge menu size-wise and that is reflected in the portion size - and price! Sandwiches are huge - plan to order one for two people to avoid waste. The hot fudge sundae has 3 scoops of ice cream. The brownie delight... More

Get here at opening! If you are not able to get reservations then you need to arrive and wait outside about 30 minutes or more from the time they open in the morning. This place books up fast! It is a quaint little restaurant just down from the entrance to Central Park. A great location for you to start your... More

Had lunch at the famous Serendipity. Had booked as they only take a certain number of reservations in advance. Had been a little concerned as they don't send out confirmation but it was all ok and our table was ready bang on time. Service was good and the food was delicious and the portion sizes generous. Definitely worth a visit.... More

Very fun restaurant. After going through the long wait to finaly get in you will be presented with huge portions of chicken burgers or whatever it is your craving. Staff is friendly and the food is priced very decently.

As any touristic destination too crowded, long waiting time and as in any famous restaurant in NY too noisy and of course expensive. Forget frozen hot chocolate! Grab for banana split!

I think people would go here because of the fact that they are movie fans. But in terms of food, i did not find it worth the price. The steak we had was gummy and overcooked. The ambience was nothing special and it was really crowded inside the restaurant.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
