ANYONE FOR DESERT?

My wife and I visited Serendipity for desert sharing one Frozen Hot Chocolate and one portion of Lemon Ice Box Pie. Thoroughly enjoyed them but at $25.00 (including tax & tip) it is quite expensive. I guess I can say we have ticked that one off the bucket list! Be warned there is a minimum $8.50... read more

The worst hostess/ receptionist in the world ,she is DISGUSTING, RUDE, SARCASTIC and CONDESCENDING. No sense of customer satisfaction and should be AVOIDED at all cost. No New Yorker or tourist in their right mind would eat here. There are PLENTY of similarly priced and better tasting alternatives that will treat you with RESPECT The food is good. If you... More

We made plans to only have desert, that soon went when we checked the menu. Service was great Chilli was great but the "Can't say no" desert, I was eating "Humble Pie", it was enormous, so tasty I can feel it now. Have it for two I had it myself and wished I hadn't hi managed....just to finish it. Mr... More

This place is only for people who fell in love with the movie. It is soon crowded. I went there and the queue was so long that we wrote our names in the register and came back after half an hour. People were clicking pictures like mad. Once seated I found it to be overpriced. The icecream was nice but... More

$8.50 minimum per person (even our 2 young kids were included) and they will not tell you this up front. We arrived at 9:30 and told them we were here for dessert only. We planned on ordering a Frozen Hot Chocolate and Chocolate cake. Until we saw in very small print about the $8.50 minimum order per person. I get... More

I chose Serendipity 3 as my birthday dinner. I made a reservation and when I came in we were seated right away. We both loved our meals. Of course we had to have the frozen hot chocolate for dessert. It seems to be a popular choice at the restaurant. I love that it is a unique restaurant and not overly... More

BOOK RESERVATIONS! This will make your experience more enjoyable. The food was ok, but lets be honest it was more about saying you went here. The dessert is what you come for. Come for food too, but don't get full. We ordered, of course, the frozen hot chocolate. OMG, amazing. never have we ever. YOU have to go if it... More

We had appetizers & dessert! Words can't describe....do not let the line discourage you! Just go by & put your name on the list. They will tell you what time to come back & there is plenty of things to do in the area! This was our first time out of four NYC trips & I will definitely make sure... More

Definitely a good place for dessert if you're ever in the area. I don't think it's something that is worth going out of your way for, especially if you're FROM the area. But if you have out of towners or you yourself are one, yeah, drop by here. The Frozen Hot Chocolate definitely lives up to the hype. Big enough... More

I was here over a year ago and enjoyed it. I didn't this time around. I think the first time experience had worn off and this visit was average. The wait which is usually hours long on busy days was only 20 minutes on a Weds afternoon. We were unsure if we were going to eat lunch/meal prior as we... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
