This place is a chic deli type restruant with great food and deserts. I have been there thre times and every time I enjoyed everything I ordered. During our 5 night stay, we visited here 3 times for the frozen hot chocolate! It is perfect for 2 people, and it is the best drink I had in the city! We've been to NYC three times, and we try to make it to Serendipty twice per visit ! We love the food and the chocolate creations. Don't listen to the winers..... just go ! more

After walking several miles to try the famous frozen hot chocolate my husband found ourselves with a 1 1/2 hour wait at 4:30pm in the afternoon. We decided not to wait. This is just meant as a warning to those thinking of going there. Be prepared to wait or make reservations. more

went out of our way to get to Serendipity for their frozen hot chocolate...wish we had of stayed away!! it was nothing but a frozen frappuccino made with chocoloate, not only that but they MAKE each person spend a minimun $8.00...STAY AWAY AND AVOID THE RIP OFF. go to starbuck and get a frappuccino and eat it with a spoon... more
