We went there and was told to come back after 1 1/2 hours. So we went to Bloomingdales first. My relative who lives in New York said we must try the this frozen hot chocolate and yes it was fantastic!!! Don't order the food there their service took long just order the ice cream. I ordered ravioli for my daughter... More

It all seemed a little down in the dumps. The lamps looked like they needed a good cleaning. The tables were crammed together to the point of being ridiculous. The portions of food were huge, but not particularly flavorful. No one at our table really enjoyed our meals. I'm not sure why this continues to be so popular. The service... More

You cannot book a table on line and when you call it's almost impossible to get an answer. So just go there and hope you won't have to wait for more then 30 minutes....! We waited on the bench outside while there were two more full benches and people waiting even occupied the stairs of nearby buildings..!!!! It's a charming... More

There is a longer story to this but not worth the effort in writing. Overall, the desserts were very good. Although, the much discussion of the frozen hot chocolate, which one patron described as a "Shake", is overhyped! Kind of disappointing...the service we had was below average. I would reconsider coming here again. Nice to experience once.

Serendipity 3 is known for having decadent desserts, some of the most expensive in the city, but I knew it from the movie 'Serendipity'. My husband and I stumbled across it walking around the city the first time we visited and I absolutely had to go in. We enjoyed our meal & dessert, so went back with our kids on... More

You can't visit New York without making time for Serendipity. I'm sure the hot food is good but you really can't beat a Serendipitous hot chocolate and an ice cream sundae. Ice cream comes in a dish large enough to keep goldfish and the hot chocolate has an array of toppings. The service is excellent and I don't think I've... More

I have been trying to get to Serendipity for a long time and made my husband take me when we were in New York City. The place is amazing and so much to look at. I had the Frozen Hot Chocolate and it was incredible. The menu has many items to choose from whether it is food or dessert. The... More

First of all, make a reservation. My husband and I waited about an hour. However, it was worth it. I had the original frozen hot chocolate and my husband had the peanut butter. OH MY GOODNESS. SOOOOOOO AMAZING! Not too bad of a price either. We also had a sandwich that was pretty awesome.... but go for the dessert.

We went for the infamous 'frozen hot chocolate', which you hear everyone talk about. Yes, we had to try, too. But as my teenage daughter said 'isn't this just a shake?' LOL, yes, dear.. yes it is. So, it was a bit overpriced for what you get - definitely a crowded type place, BUT, we did see a big celebrity... More

Totally not kidding you guys. The frozen hot mint chocolate will knock your socks off. Great restaurant with lots of character and charm. Do your mouth a favor and eat here.
