Large portions, ice cream average

We purchased a plain burger ($12.95) and the Ultimate BLT ($11.00) and to top it all off a small hot fudge sundae ($9.50). The burger was cooked perfect. The BLT had too much going on - too heavy on the tomato, not much substance. The sundae left a bit to be desired. Not much hot fudge (I asked for... read more

Love this place and their frozen hot chocolate! I was especially happy they had their frozen hot chocolate for sale as a dry mix so we could take some home to make later! Be sure to be mindful of their busy times. The wait can be long if you don't. Great place to go while in NYC!

Some of the food is a little basic, but great value. Its really the desserts and frozen drinks that you visit for. A must when walking the shopping district

I went to the place since I love the movie. I just wanted to have a drink since I was full. Wanted to order a cappuccino but all they have is whole milk, no soy milk or other option. Ended up ordering an espresso and paying 4 USD for it since that was the only thing I could drink. Not... More

This is an always must visit when in town for me. I love the magic of it. The movie Serendipity was one of my favorites so naturally to visit here you can feel some of that magic. I tend to buy their latest coffee mug when I visit and of course I buy some Frozen Hot Chocolate to go. The... More

After all the hype this place has received I thought this was going to be a home run, sadly we were very disappointed. The food is average at best. The menu is difficult to read and the staff treat you as if you are supposed to be grateful to simply be allowed in and given a table. We made reservations... More

I had such a wonderful visit to this quaint little eatery. I love the film and wanted to go to the shop as I know it had featured in it, and it didn't disappoint. It was buzzy and friendly, and the owner who makes an appearance in the film made a point of chatting to us as he sat by... More

I'm not sure what all of the hype is about. Their ice cream really wasn't very magnificent. They have a sit down restaurant and a take-away window. Everything was pretty overpriced- $5 for a scoop of ice cream, $9 for a bottle of water. And it wasn't anything to write home about.

This restaurant is very popular among tourists. The prime reason would be it's where John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale had their movie taken. Honestly, the 1hour wait on the list is not worth it if we came here just for the food. The desserts we had WERE VERY MEDIOCRE. Our maid in the Philippines can make some of it's ice... More

This is one of our favourite places. The service was good and as ever the frozen hot chocolate was excellent. It is good to still see the owner sitting there in reception. Just a good place to snack at. Although I have to say the meals, while basic ,looked good.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
