Good, reasonable, comfort food!

I went for lunch here and was blown away by the quality of food and service. It's an elegantly dark dining room with old world charm that reads more like a private supper club than a public restaurant. It's a perfect spot for that romantic dinner or hush-hush lunch date that no one needs to find out about, especially when... More

Went here for Christmas Eve dinner. Was glad we made a reservation because it got busy. Our waiter was entertaining, giving his recommendations on everything. The wine was good. The food was top notch. I would definitely go here again!

Great food; great service; an inviting environment. Worth a visit. In walking distance of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim.

We had reservatons for dinner. We were seated promptly at a table for 2, regardless of the fact that there were 4 of us so we requested another table. More than an hour later we were finally seated. After ordering, the waiter came back to tell us that our appetizer, baked clams, was unavailable because they ran out of clams.... More

We just explored the neighborhood and happened upon this intimate and delightful restaurant. The staff was so delightful and friendly we made a reservation for that night. We were greeted with a big welcome and it all began. The food was fantastic, the staff well trained and so much fun! It is everything you would want from a great restaurant.... More

This is a small, intimate restaurant in a good section, (upper East side ),of NYC. The pricing is well within reason for this type of place and the food was delicious. I would suggest reservations as this restaurant fills up quickly and is used by nearby residents on a consistent basis. The waiters are pleasant and know the dishes and... More

We were a party of six on a Sat. night. The restaurant is small and it was busy. The serve was wonderful, the food was out of the world and the pricing was very reasonable. We did not eat from the Prix Fixe menu as we had reservations for 7PM and Prix Fixe was over by than. But pricing was... More

We were a party of six and our seating was close. Apps were wonderful! The prosciutto and mango was excellent as was the buffalo mozzarella and the eggplant rollatini! Wine list was well priced with a nice selection of reds and whites. We had several of the main course specials and all were good - homemade pasta was delicious! And... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
