CAFÉ BOULUD features a French-American menu inspired by Chef Daniel Boulud's four culinary muses: la tradition, classic French cuisine; la saison, seasonal delicacies; le potager, the vegetable garden; and le voyage, the flavors of world cuisines. In addition to dinner seven nights, we feature a $37 two-course prix-fixe lunch six days a week, and brunch on Sundays. Always a delight

Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. Unusually for New York, table spacing is generous, allowing for quiet conversation. Prix fixe lunch is a good value.

Surprise dinner for my wife 50th birthday for 20 people. With friends and family coming from all over the country. The dinner had to be good to have everybody happy. We had one of the private rooms. Food was outstanding wine pairings perfect and service impeccable. All attending were raving over every course. Thank you Daniel for a wonderful experience.... More

We were expecting great things of this restaurant but we were very underwhelmed. I have a wheat allergy and they said chose what you wish and we will alter it. Then they started saying 'oh but that sauce has wheat' and 'we can't guarantee this doesn't have wheat' PAINFUL! It is very simple, ask your chef what can be made... More

Amazing experience! We had such a lovely (and yummy) time in this restaurant. Everything was a perfect fit. By perfect fit we mean food, service and ambient. Food was excellently prepared and presented. Small, well balanced french menus and good choice of wine. Service was lovely and professional. Price for all this lovelyness (bare in mind the micheline star) is... More

Impeccable service to go with the creatively prepared French based food; bring your check though...the price puts it close to the priceless category.

We really enjoyed a lovely meal here. Excellent fish, cooked to perfection, with a great wine list. Not a cheap meal by any stretch of the imagination, but worth every penny.

The arrangement of Cafe Boulud, the quality of its food and its proximity to the Lincoln center make it our favorite place for dinner before going to the opera and concerts in the area. The Boulud quality of the ingredients and the cooking are wonderful.

This Michelin star restaurant gets 10 out of 10. Everything was just great. I had the Beef Wellington and my girlfriend had the Arctic Char they where both so good that I could not decide which one I liked best. The Service was outstanding as was the atmosphere. The sommelier was able to match a perfect French wine that went... More

I was indeed looking forward to Café Boulud in view of all of the recommendations. The room is relatively small, the tables crowded together, those for four are barely able to hold the service plates, glassware and dinnerware. Service is refined, knowledgeable and unobtrusive. Noise level is quite low for an NYC restaurant. We were able to talk at normal... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
