Description: CAFÉ BOULUD features a French-American menu inspired by Chef Daniel...
CAFÉ BOULUD features a French-American menu inspired by Chef Daniel Boulud's four culinary muses: la tradition, classic French cuisine; la saison, seasonal delicacies; le potager, the vegetable garden; and le voyage, the flavors of world cuisines. In addition to dinner seven nights, we feature a $37 two-course prix-fixe lunch six days a week, and brunch on Sundays. The restaurant is both a neighborhood gem and a destination for food lovers in search of casually elegant dining. Two private dining rooms seating 18 guest each are available for your private entertaining needs, and may be combined to accommodate 40. The restaurant's adjacent BAR PLEIADES serves inventive cocktails and a luxurious bar menu from 3 pm onwards. DANIEL • DB Bistro Moderne •Boulud Sud• Bar Boulud • DBGB Kitchen & Bar

Wonderful meal and fabulous experience

We had the chilled pea soup, potatoes, corn risotto and the strip loin. The flavors were delicate and everything was just perfectly cooked. The best risotto we have had hands down. The Sommelier was knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. The service was impeccable. Would... read more

I was lucky enough to be entertained at Cafe Boulud on a warm July evening so was able to walk through the beautiful streets to the Surrey Hotel, where people were eating on the side walk and enjoying the evening air. After such a build up I wasn't let down when entering the restaurant which is beautifully appointed. The menu... More

This is a gem of a restaurant. We booked for a special occasion; my wife's birthday. We had our two children with us (8 and 5 years old), and booked well in advance. I asked for a 'good' table. Indeed we were seated quickly at a 'good' table. The restaurant is well spaced out and customers are afforded space in... More

We stayed at the surrey and were able to have brunch at this cafe. We also ordered in-room breakfast. Service is excellent, and the food in general very good.

We were lucky to be visiting NYC during restaurant week so attracted by the Michelin star booked Cafe Boulud for lunch and what a great decision it was. Prix Fixe at $25 was outstanding value for such quality and as expected the service was "star" quality. 100% recommend and would definitely return.

New York City continues to just reveal its surprises! Of course, for those who know, Cafe Boulud is at the top of the list; we just stopped in at the Surrey Hotel to have drinks at Bar Pleiades and had just a wonderful evening! Great grower champagne from a wonderful list, excellent bar/wait staff - engaging, comfortable and warmly welcoming!... More

Ate here one evening whilst staying at the Surrey. We very much enjoyed the food and the experience. We ate outside as we made a reservation at short notice. The ambiance was very pleasant - people were walking by and we thought this was nice. The Service was fast, attentive and the Sommelier in particular was very charming and helpful.... More

Excellent food, wine and service with lots of specials and new things to try. We enjoy going before or after a show and it's great for families too.

Came here for dinner after drinks at Bemelmans. The food was fantastic. The Yellow Tail was one of the best fish dishes I've had. The waiter was also very helpful in navigating their huge wine list. We didn't want to spend a small fortune, and he found us a great red wine within our budget. Highly recommend this place!

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
