Description: CAFÉ BOULUD features a French-American menu inspired by Chef Daniel...
CAFÉ BOULUD features a French-American menu inspired by Chef Daniel Boulud's four culinary muses: la tradition, classic French cuisine; la saison, seasonal delicacies; le potager, the vegetable garden; and le voyage, the flavors of world cuisines. In addition to dinner seven nights, we feature a $37 two-course prix-fixe lunch six days a week, and brunch on Sundays. The restaurant is both a neighborhood gem and a destination for food lovers in search of casually elegant dining. Two private dining rooms seating 18 guest each are available for your private entertaining needs, and may be combined to accommodate 40. The restaurant's adjacent BAR PLEIADES serves inventive cocktails and a luxurious bar menu from 3 pm onwards. DANIEL • DB Bistro Moderne •Boulud Sud• Bar Boulud • DBGB Kitchen & Bar

Chic, delicious food, impecable service

One of my favorite restaurants, always visit when in NYC. Great ambiance, attentive staff, great recommendations, prix fix menu is varied, great selections. It's always a 10! This is high class top notch french cuisine. I felt in the 30´s or 40´s, what an entrance... It is a power scene, striking place. You are watching you don't know who but there they are. There was a german shepherd dog in the entrance, incredible. The menu is to study it, it can be a bit difficult. I ate... More

We enjoyed our special occasion meal. My husband had the duck - served medium rare. He was overwhelmed with how good it was. My son in law ordered the bass - cooked perfectly with a terrific crust on it. My son ordered a tasting of baby pig - all delicious - extremely rich. I ordered an endive and pear salad... More

The food was absolute exquisite. The services were attentive. I had the special pig dish, really well made. My friend had a lam shank, he loved it. We will comeback again for sure .

We enjoyed a lovely dinner here. The room - and the service - is elegant but comfortable, and the food very good. We shared a beef-for two special, complete with accompanying vegetables. While more traditional and less creative than most of the regular menu items, this dish was far from ordinary, and extremely well done. Very nice.

Classy food at it's best. Not over the top . The people, food, atmosphere all made for an incredible evening. Food the way it was meant to be served. The waiters are well knowledgeable, the presentation was beautiful. I cannot say enough about this place. Look no further, if you dine in NYC, you must try this restaurant. Go next... More

We love db Moderne and Daniel, but Cafe Boulud has a quiet, more intimate atmosphere, more of an authentic "local" experience. The Day Boat Scallops were out of this world, as was the Long Island Fluke Crudo, the Coq au Vin, the Dry Aged Beef and Korean Glazed Pork Belly. Every single item that arrived to the table was absolutely... More

We had lunch at Café Boulud back in early December. You can choose a la carte or one of their prix fixe French courses. The range from traditional to modern is great, so that you can decide how heavy you want to go. We did a mix and match from the various sections with duck as my main and risotto... More

Had a wonderful meal and was able to eat outside at one of the cafe tables under the awning. Thunderstorm came out of nowhere and staff came running with extra umbrellas. The food was tremendous and the service impeccable.

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
