In addition to dinner seven nights, we feature a $37 two-course prix-fixe lunch six days a week, and brunch on Sundays. The restaurant is both a neighborhood gem and a destination for food lovers in search of casually elegant dining. Two private dining rooms seating 18 guest each are available for your private entertaining needs, and may be combined to accommodate 40. The restaurant's adjacent BAR PLEIADES serves inventive cocktails and a luxurious bar menu from 3 pm onwards. DANIEL • DB Bistro Moderne •Boulud Sud• Bar Boulud • DBGB Kitchen & Bar

Had a wonderful meal and was able to eat outside at one of the cafe tables under the awning. Thunderstorm came out of nowhere and staff came running with extra umbrellas. The food was tremendous and the service impeccable.

This is likely the finest dining in the area. It is smaller than Daniel but the food is outstanding. The service is likewise excellent. The number of restaurants of this caliber are few and this

I've been to a couple of restaurants of Chef Boulud and I love them all so I was very excited to dine at Cafe Boulud. When my friends and I came in, we were a bit concerned that it was so quiet. So quiet that it will make you afraid to crack a joke because your friends might laugh too... More

This restaurant has amazing food. It is cozy, romantic elegant, so it is a great choice for a celebration. I ordered the stripped bass which was is was buttery with light fishy flavor. Simple perfect!

The service was good until the restaurant was full and the staff was a bit overwhelmed. Choices were limited on the prix fixe dinner. Food was prepared well but not outstanding. Pink balloons with long ribbon stems covered the ceiling and the ribbons were annoying when they caused static on our faces while walking to and from the table. Ambience... More

I would not say that it was the one of the best meals I have ever had, but it was a pleasant surprise for a lunch.  In order to avoid the craze of lunch time we decided to make a late lunch reservation-excellent idea! The staff was very pleasant; they had just few tables to handle.  Our waiter allowed us... More

We were invited this past weekend by another couple, also New Yorkers. We have come here many times over the years and have experienced it in its different incarnations, during which it had gone from excellent (5.0) to 3.0, and has improved again over the last couple of years. The first version when it first started was the best. The... More

We are in New York quite often (but not as often as we'd like to be!) and are always looking for fine food. We have our favorites, but with all the offerings in town, feel we need to try different ones as often as possible. We thought we'd try Daniel Boulud's easier-to-get-reservations Café Boulud beside the Lobby of the Surrey... More

As a New Yorker, I expect quite a bit from a Boulud restaurant with a Michelin star. I was utterly unimpressed. Mostly because of the service, but also because of the food. Let's start with the service: the waitstaff seemed genuinely uninterested about the fact that we were there in the first place. This is unacceptable for a restaurant that... More

Loved this stop at the end of our day. Lovely and sophisticated. Unique and well mixed cocktails with amazing bar appetizers and small plates from Cafe Boulud. Fantastic service with yummy olives and nuts upon being seated. Dress to impress.
