OK so .. no ambience, impossible to park and the service is questionable... however the PIZZA is BEYOND If you have to go to Brooklyn just for the Pizza it is even worth a trip. This place is history and their recipe should be nationally archived. MANGIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my second favorite for NYC pizza (1st is Patsy's on 2nd Ave). I'm sure their location in Brooklyn is good but I spend most of my time in Manhattan and this location has not disappointed. The negative to this place, and unfortunately it’s a huge negative when you’re hungry, is the long wait when their busy. It’s a... More

Truly old school pizza in authentic surroundings. Worth the trek for any true pizza lover.

Save money and time and don't go there. The pizza has nothing in common with a real italian pizza except the name. The tomatos are flavourless, there are no herbs which have to be on a pizza in any case. It is highly overpriced. We payed 19,50 USD (without tax) for a pizza with two toppings! Thats definately too much... More

A great new stop for a quarterly luncheon. Pretty darn close to perfect pie. Fast service and absolutly authentic New York.

Pizza is fabulous - white and red -my favorite anywhere. I'm probably being too hard on the service and atmosphere - for a pizza place it's great but for a restaurant it's nothing special. Oh but the pizza!

I lost my appetite before I sat down. The bathroom (mens) reminded of a gas station. Filthy. The place is run down in a big way. The "owner", a middle aged owner was screaming in the kitchen.

Absolutely phenomenal pizza, I make my way up here almost every time I'm in New York. Get a white pie with ham, peppers and onions. Not a chance you'll finish one yourself either, so skip the (mediocre) starters. Great way to eat out for $20 or less. If only we had anything like it here......

If you are ever in New York City, skip any other pizzeria anyone recommended, and just make your way over to Totonno's on 2nd avenue in the Upper East Side (between 80 and 81st streets). I have yet to taste pizza this good elsewhere. I miss it so much, that if I had the money, I'd book a flight JUST... More
