Soup arrived before my beer. When I asked the waiter where my beer was he went away and came back a couple of minutes later with an excuse but still without my beer. How long does it take to pour a beer? About another ten minutes apparently. We'd told him when he first approached us that we were in a... More

Noticed the restaurant during the dark. It looked lovely. Went for early dinner. During daylight, not so impressive. Food average, prices too. For dessert, ordered a suffle. It arrived promptly. No relation of suffe, but not bad at all.

I was staying in the Hotel Lucerne and got in late, and didn't want to go out in the cold. I went to eat here and although it has a door leading to it from the lobby, it was locked, so I got my coat from my room and walked around to get in the front door. I had a... More

This is a charming restaurant with food that does not disappoint. I had a kale salad for starters. Yes, I know, real people in French are still inclined to view our fascination with kale as an aberration, but this was a great rendition, with toasted pumpkin seeds, apple, cranberries, vinaigrette and other American ingredients. The home made steak ravioli was tasty, in... More

Nice-Matin styles itself as a Parisian cafe plunked down in New York City, and it does a pretty fair job of it. Popped in one evening for a late-night beer and the taps were cold and the service appropriately aloof. However, lunch the next day was certainly worth waiting for, as I enjoyed probably the best Croque-Monsieur I've ever had... More

Passed this restaurant several times during our recent visit to New York and decided to try it for breakfast on our last day. So glad we did!! Great selection, very nice and helpful staff and delicious breakfast selections. My over-easy eggs and bacon were done to perfection!! But my favorite was the hot chocolate - creamy, chocolaty and absolutely wonderful!!... More

Very popular place with fairly high noise level and a big crowd. Ambience otherwise nice but was a bit disappointed with the menu and the food. Not much interesting on the menu -- just the brunch basics. There was a lamb entree which I ordered thinking it would be a more substantial dish but turned out to be yet another... More

Was in city and a friend suggested this restaurant. Charming bistro with great wine by the glass....large wine list: tuna was rare just as ordered, burger and fries were very tasty: super service by Alfonso... great people watching (ask for a table by the windows) Look forward to going back
