Good breakfast and dinner

Stayed in a nearby hotel and had both breakfast and dinner in this restaurant a couple of times. We were very happy with both and the service was perfectly ok as well, being able to meet our requests for our milk intolerant daughter. This was our "special" dinner during our NY trip and it was great. Food was outstanding: escargots, fritters, duck breast, slow-cooked pork and possibly the best hamburger ever. Wine list is massive but the staff was great at helping you narrow down your selection. Wine geeks and foodies take note.

A lovely intimate place on 1st Avenue, serving great French bistro food. Their specialty is mussels, although none of us had them on this visit. I had the roasted cod with an eggplant 'caviar' and a tomato coulis - delicious and cooked perfectly. Nice service, good wine list & a great Upper East find for me.

We just wanted a place to sit outside on this great summer night. This restaurant is attached to our hotel. The staff went out of its way to seat us even if we were not having a full meal. Our waiter was the only one who seemed upset by the situation, maybe he wanted a bigger tip than what dessert... More

A good restaurant, and it seemed to be quite busy in the evenings.

I live in the neighborhood and have eaten here from time to time over the many years this place has been open. Today's visit was simply awful. First of all, I do believe you can sometimes predict the dining experience based on the bathrooms and one of the two unisex restrooms was in despicable shape, overflowing garbage, no toilet paper... Great location. Nice atmosphere. Terrible food. Expensive. Noisy. No Value for Money. Good service. Just finished having dinner here with friends. In addition to it's regular menu, the restaurant was offering Vietnamese-inspired dishes. Two of us ordered the pho soup (a classic of the Vietnamese kitchen) which arrived lukewarm. Neither the broth nor any of the ingredients had ANY TASTE... More

After a great day in the city ewe stopped for a relaxing dinner. Good call! My wife & I started with the mushroom soup with truffle oil. She had the boullabaise, I had the Moroccan Salmon, and our grandson did not disappoint as he had his usual cheeseburger and fries. Desserts were apricot & mango sorbets & chocolate ice cream

After a long day of sight seeing we returned to our hotel around 9:30 p.m. and ate at this restaurant on the premises. The decor is pretty and we sat at an outside table to enjoy the cool night air. We ordered off the prix fixe menu since it looked like a nice variety of interesting combinations. We each ordered... More

great location on the Upper West Side. this cafe/bistro/brasserie has a multitude of choices for food at any time of day. In the nice weather you can even eat outdoors on Amsterdam Ave. The servers are variable in attitude, but the food and choices make up for the unpredictability of the server and hostesses.

I recently rediscovered this restaurant after not having been there in about 10 years. The menu is very interesting and different. Don't think of it as typical French food - it is not. It's more a cross between southern French, Mediterranean, Northern African and Moroccan. Go with a group so you can order lots of dishes and try them. Some... More
