They may call it a cafe but it is a diner! We had an egg cream, matzoh soup and grilled cheese-everything came out nice and the price was really fabulous! A huge menu with many choices of soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees-we liked it lots and would go again! the waiter was a funny guy-it was perfect for late night~

We ate here 3 times during our stay at the Beacon, purely for convenience sake, twice for a late dinner, and once for an early breakfast. Breakfast was typical American diner fare and all were happy with pancakes, french toast, etc. For dinner the burgers were really good, and very reasonable. I had incidentally earlier visited the famed 'Burger Joint'... More

Since we stayed at Hotel Beacon so the location was perfect and everything we had on the menu was very good. We ate breakfast there every morning and dinner only once. Has a very friendly staff.

Everything you would expect from a New York Diner. We were staying at the Beacon Hotel next door. We had breakfast and an evening meal. Fast attentive service. Good range of meal choices. Good quality We could find no fault with anything. Will certainly visit on our return to New York

The food was very good and we saw many locals eating here. They also serve wine and beer. Our only complaint was a rude waiter. He was ignoring us for some reason.

would rather eat from the market across the road. Food very average at best. Service poor. Why bother.

Pan seared ginger-honey glazed Mahi Mahi was delicious! My friend enjoyed her red snapper too. Very nice tossed salad as well. It was my birthday and the waitress gave me a free piece of carrot cake. We enjoyed sitting by the window and watching the people walk by.

The broth to their matzo ball soup is just greasy water--no flavor whatsoever. However, the eggplant parmigiano was really good--fresh eggplant fried crispy!

Stayed next door at Beacon Hotel, and this is like the hotel coffee shop, although not related except for extreme proximity. Eggs, corned beef hash, and fresh-squeezed OJ, all fabulous. Is a very popular and busy place which is no surprise to me. Lunch and dinner served also.

Firstly it is adjacent to the hotel where we stayed and can recommend(the Beacon) and the service is prompt and efficient. Breakfast is great with a huge range of meals and the evening meal we had closed our day with a smile on our faces what with a tasty meat loaf sandwich and smiling service.
