Gabriela's started out in an erstwhile diner space a block away; the move to Columbus Avenue was inspired. This stretch of the UWS has broad sidewalks, so the outdoor terrace eating area is gracious instead of cramped. The menu broadens the usual reach but also has the favorites. Have been going there for years and the food is always fresh,... More

Went there with family the other night. Special crab meat quesadilla appetizer was delicious and enough to feed 5. I had the crispy pork and also tasted my wife's shrimp with poblano pepper sauce. Both were excellent, as was the red wine sangria. Service was spotty, but I knew this going in, so I wasn't too bothered by it. Except... More

We have family nearby, and often come to Gabriela's when we are visiting. We keep coming back because the food is excellent, but also because the staff is always friendly, especially to our six-year-old granddaughter. It's sometimes on the noisy side because they are always very busy, but the service is fast and the atmosphere is pleasant.

My wife and I arrived ready for some good Mexican. Despite Gabriela's being quite busy, we were seated quickly with a smile. We were then quickly greeted by our server to take our order, also with smile. We ordered quesadillas for the appetizer and chimichanga and their speciality Pollo dish. Things went downhill from there. They brought our main meal... More

Meals were generous in portions and quite unique for Mexican food. With an outdoor seating area, full bar, sports on TV and music on some evenings there is something for everyone.

Good Mexican food at nice terrace outside. Also for vegetarian enough choice. It is relaxed sitting outside.

Went to this trendy Mexican restaurant on the upper west side. We ate in the covered outdoor seating area. Upon sitting down we were given fresh warm nachos and 2 types of salsa. We ordered off the lunch menu. My wife had fajitas and I had the steak sandwich. Both were very good. The only complaint was that the plantains... More

We live in the neighborhood and dine at Gabriellas at least once per month. The food is always good but it is not exceptional. Standard dishes such as enchiladas, tacos, and the chili rillenos are solid, without being remarkable. I appreciate very much that the food here is not over fatted. They use good ingredients and it is clear that... More

This is a great neighborhood restaurant. Many repeat customers, many families with little ones, great outdoors space as well as a spacious inside room. The staff is fun and friendly, and we had the best waiter ever. He was delightful and funny and attentive. The food is great (the rice 'side' is very small, but the portions of the food... More

The mohito was a bit too strong, but everything else we drunk and ate was absolutely amazing ! The shrimp chimicuri was great and for dessert we had the choros and crep - both great. The waiter was super nice which covered for the hard time we had understanding him. Would come back again and highly recommend it to others.
