great service, delicious food

Ozu is my go-to place to go when I am on the Upper West Side. It's usually great and fast and delicious. I highly recommend.

I've eaten at Ozu many times in past years but had not eaten there for a couple of years until this evening. I was shocked at how much worse the food was compared to my previous experiences there. I brought my cousin there for his first (and last) time to Ozu. He was equally disappointed in his food. The steamed... More

I have been going to this restaurant for many years now and have to say it's one of my favorites in New York. Half and Half is one of my favorite foods there and I have never been disappointed with anything I have ordered. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of... More

If you are going out to eat with a group of people and not all people are vegan, this is a great option. They serve fish with most of the dishes but you can make all dishes vegan. Great place!

Wholesome, macrobiotic meals. Attentive service and pleasant atmosphere. Also good as take out. Competes with the best vegetarian noodle houses in Tokyo! We eat here evry time we visit NY

I've been here a few times, but with growing reluctance. I've had several dishes on the menu, and they all seem to lack seasoning. My most recent choice was the Ozu Tempura -- salmon and vegetables prepared tempura-style. The coating was unusually thick and extremely greasy. The service was pleasant enough (if slow), and the lunch struck me as overpriced... More

This is a cute restaurant on the upper west side. Unfortunately, like so many other restaurants in this area, it is rather nondescript. The service is excellent. In addition, the menu has several nice vegetarian options. However, we tried the steamed dumplings, the Ozu noodles, and the vegetable special of the day. While the food was fine, it was rather... This understated establishment offers tasty and healthy vegetarian cuisine. Our favorites are the ozu roll with pink sauce (comes with a green salad) and the refreshing summer roll that blends tofu, basil, rice noodles and peanut sauce. The Good food, quiet atmosphere, and excellent service keep us coming back whenever we are in New York.
