FELT LIKE WE WERE IN PARIS

A real find. We happened to be in New York for a weekend and found this charming cafe by accident. They serve an International Brunch every day until 4 pm. Choices range from a British Breakfast to French to Swiss, Irish Viennese, etc. All looked yummy. I chose the Moroccan Delight which was... read more

What a treat! What a huge selection of desserts!!! This was our first visit and now will become a required stop each time we visit NYC. We each chose a different dessert and were all very pleased with our choices. Loved the decor and atmosphere!

I've come here multiple times with my girlfriend to get dessert. It's great! The hot beverages are very good, as are the desserts. The place itself is very small and often crowded, so expect to sit close to other tables (and I wouldn't recommend coming with a large party). The cafe itself is lovely and very cute. The tables are... More

I was sitting in our hotel room craving chocolate at about 9pm, and I came across this little gem in the search results. Man am I glad I chose this place! One of the best chocolate cakes I've ever tasted. If you are in NY and want to get that true NYC from a romantic movie experience, hit this place... More

Had a late dessert Saturday night. The place is brightly lit and looks cool inside very crowded. service was ok. Since I have been on a diet for a month I wanted to spoil it with a lava cake. This was more like a dormant volcano. Dry cold cake ugh, no ooze of delicious chocolate yummyness, a small scoop of... More

We came here for late night dessert, hoping for something transcendent -- and the display of desserts certainly looks that way --but the Midnight Chocolate Cake and the Apple Cheesecake we ordered were only average. Maybe we ordered wrong; maybe some of the other treats are better. Ours was good, maybe very good, but not amazing or transcendent.

We were staying just around the corner and went here on our last morning to have brunch. I had a v yummy smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel, but the highlight was the AMAZING cheese cake. We had the apple one but there was a huge selection and they all looked delicious. Worth a visit if you are close

atmosphere is nice, I like the place interior and exterior. service is friendly and good cart is a bit limited and overpriced for the quality on offer we were a bit disappointed by the food / sweets served... not so great, not on presentation and not on taste. but nevertheless, nice place to sit and relax for some time

Initially, I was excited to visit Cafe Lalo with my children, hoping to reunite myself with what once was a wonderful cafe. However, I was sorely disappointed. First of all,the dining environment had the most horrible music, like some revolting 80s pop. The waitress was snappy, and tried to give us a dirty table. When the dessert itself arrived, I... More

I came here initially bc of the movie "You've Got Mail" - but I was pleasantly surprised. I had the best breakfast here. The Irish Oatmeal was amazing!
