I paid $100 per person to eat very basic food (pasta + scaloppine). They use butter to cook vegetables, that it is simply NOT ITALIAN. Please tell the cook to go to internet and find some real, healthier italian recipes. Also, please, use oil...

We do apologize that you did not have an enjoyable experience at Scaletta. We pride ourselves on providing quality food and service to all of our guests. We take a lot of pride in crafting authentic Italian cuisine, a foundation of that is oil, which we use in most of our dishes. We appreciate you taking the time to write... More

We just visited New York and had dinner at Freddy´s (former soccer player in New York - together with Franz Beckenbauer) restaurant before we went to the firework in the Central Park. We had a prepared 4 course dinner. We started with some pasta, followed by a salad, an Entreé and a plate of desert variations. The price for this... More

We dined here last Saturday after a matinee performance. We were part of a bus tour, so to be honest, I thought we'd just go to an ordinary place that caters to day-tripping groups-you know what I mean. I was SO wrong! From the minute we walked in, it was so impressive. The owner/manage(?) greeted us and he was ever-present... More

I go here often and the food is always good. Whatever I order I'm glad I ordered it rather than wishing for something else. I especially like their Straciatella soup which is not always on the menu but they always seem to have it if you ask. I have had fish, veal, pasta dishes, all have been satisfying. The waiters... Just returned from a wonderful visit to NYC, and Scaletta's was one of our better meals while there. We were on our way to a play and stopped in here because it was next door to the theater. We did not have reservations and they only had one table left, so we took what they had. Thank goodness we did.... More

The owner saw me and my wife through the door and opened the restaurant for us before opening hours. Thank you so much! We were hungry, after a day in the Museum. The appetizers, the wine, the veal, everything was very nice! And the service was very friendly!

As a part of the Collette tour we had dinner at Scaletta Ristorante at 50 West 77th Street, New York, New York. Service was excellent as was the meal. Even with a large group we were quickly served by friendly wait staff. The fish was served with excellent presentation and was outstanding. The ambiance was enhanced with friendly staff.

Scaletta is a long time favorite of ours and many others here on the Upper West Side. The food is Northern Italian, always well prepared and delicious. The pastries are wonderful. The staff are helpful, courteous and attentive and the management always greets you warmly. We've often taken out of guests there and everyone has always been happy with their... More
