I love dining at Cesca at least once a week!

Cesca has daily specials that keep me coming back for more every week. Their Sunday night Sunday Sauce dinner is an Italian food lover's dream come true. It is a huge portion of wonderful pasta with marinara sauce and a side dish with meatballs, sausage and amazingly tender pork all with that... read more

Pretty, good food, good wines, good service. Some of the best northern Italian food I've had in a while.

When I first came here I thought I was going to be disappointed because its size didn't fit the concept of an intimate Italian restaurant. When, however, I tried their Sunday sauce - available only on Sunday - I was hooked. Coupled with a terrific wine list and down to earth service this has become a family favorite. They offer... We go to this restaurant several times a month, which tells you something. This is a big restaurant, with a bar and casual seating in front and a large area for more leisurely and quieter area in back. It also has two alcoves which can seat 8 or more, where we have indeed entertained guests several times. The manager and... More

I visited Cesca on my way to a show at the Beacon. My food was excellent and I loved the overall feel of the restaurant. The squash flower appetizer was delicious. It was a nice balance of flavors and fed two of us. I highly suggest it!

In a city filled with great Italian restaurants, Cesca is one of the best, with excellent food, pleasant and attentive wait staff, and reasonable prices. The appetizers are innovative, and the pastas are well done. We did not try the desserts, but they appeared to be interesting.

A beautiful restaurant with a slightly rustic feel (the kitchen is somewhat open to the dining room) with a delicious regular menu and special preparations that always delight. There are very few restaurants in NYC that we frequent consistently and have enjoyed over many years ... Cesca is one of our favorites.

For a light meal at the bar, 'Cesca's hppy hour (5-7, M-F) is just fine. Two $6 Plates of 6 blue point oysters each, a shared appetizer of grilled octopus, and two nice pours of a chardonney, and we're happy -- all for $57 (plus tax and tip). Then, off to 16 Handles around the corner for sinfully excellent fro-yo.

I have lived on the UWS for over 15 years. During that time the neighborhood has evolved from the nadir of culinary arts to an area with more than a handful of decent establishments. Cesca is not one of them. 1. Tables are reasonably spaced. Comfortable for the UWS. 2. Expansive wine list. As you would expect, lots of Italian... More

We had a private room for a party of 15 to celebrate our daughter's college graduation. The room was quiet but open to the main dining room. The food was amazing and the service impeccable. The wine list features a number of stunning Italian wines but they are expensive ($200-$400 range); we were able to find a few that were... More
