Good Italian

First time at Cesca and overall it was a good dining experience. Folks were in town so we went here while on the UWS. Nice dining hall. The Insalata Champagna is good (has gorgonzola and chickory greens). The gnocchi is superb too and washed it down with red wine.

Attractively decorated restaurant where our dinner was served and paced well. The half chicken entree was cooked perfectly, but the lasagna Bolognese seemed a bit burnt on the bottom.

The service was wonderful, the good was fantastic. We had their famous Pork Filet which was fantastic! The linguine and clams, along with the calamari fantastic! We will definitely go back since everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming! The restaurant seats a lot of folks and the bar looked great!

A nice size portion of the Chicken Liver appetizer, served with an appropriate type of bread for it (for dipping or spreading on to it) and a dish of onions on the side was very pleasing. The Roast Duck with a grappa glaze on the skin was just okay. The skin is much more flavorful than the rest of the... More

We came here on NYE. Not knowing the area at all we visited the night before to check it out - we were not disappointed. The food was just unbelievable, our server Monica was first class. We celebrated our engagement with the amazing staff and some locals. We will be sure to come back to this place as it holds... More

Beautiful restaurant and very lively bar. Every dish we had was perfectly prepared. Double pork chop is huge and delicious. Bar is busy, noisy, and upbeat. Restaurant space is much, much larger than one would expect. Tables were a good distance from each other. Service was broad, attentive, and personal. Wine selections are nice and appropriately priced. Truly, a perfect... More

Very good basic Italian in a modern setting. The bone in ribeye was tender and large. The past dishes were fresh and tasty. Service was very good - nice evening out in the west side.

We ended up here the night before the Marathon. We had no reservation and were a bit nervous cause of the upcoming event. But we were greeted by a wonderful waiter who had a glimpse in his eyes and made the dinner an extra experience. The setting is nice and chic and fellow guests seemed to be residents from the... This upper west side has a great bar in front that opens on a surprisingly attractive dinning room with a very good kitchen. The menu is fairly small but hits all the bases and does everything very well
