Good food and service

Six of us had dinner at Cesca on Saturday night. We had a great round table in a corner of an alcove, perfect for good conversation. My scallops were excellent! Of the six of us, four said their dinners were excellent and the other two rated theirs very good. The wait staff was very good. My... read more

I took my discerning parents here. They loved it. My father despised the first bottle of wine we ordered. The waiter reacted professionally and sent us bottles to taste until we found one we liked. The food was delicious. Simple ingredients, but fresh and expertly prepared. The room is quiet, and the tables are arranged so you have some privacy.... More

Fantastic food and atmosphere... we will absolutely be back but hope to have a better experience with the wait staff. We enjoyed dinner before a show at the Beacon Theater... this is the perfect place for this, literally across the street. first about the service... i felt our server was rushed and unfriendly... the other 3 in my party were... We had a great time! We started off at the Bar for a drink before dinner! The staff & service was impeccable! Our waiter Randall was amazing! He recommended appetizers, entrees & cocktails that made our experience awesome! Perfect place to go before a show at The Beacon. 😃

This is a great place with super good food and a very fairly priced wine list (other restaurants would be wise to take notice). The grilled octopus is awesome (and I usually am not a fan). The duck was great and the tagliatelle bolognese awesome. Enjoy!

I have lived near this restaurant for may years and only recently discovered Cesca. But now, we go regu;ar;y, sharing our find with friends. Food and service are consistently good! My fave place on the Upper West Side.

Good service, wonderful food. Just ask for one of their quieter tables or it can be challenging to conduct a conversation.

Cesca has been in operation for many years and was originally started by a name chef who no longer works there. The food is Italian with some new world twists and there is a good and expensive wine list. Recently the menu has been changed and it seems that an effort has been made to increase the margins while some... More

We visited Cesca primarily because of its proximity to the Beacon Theater, where we were seeing a show that night. The food was mediocre. Portions were good, flavors were relatively unsophisticated. The beet salad, for example, was very sweet and sort of drenched in dressing or beet juice (I'm really not sure) and so the salad lacked any nuance or... More
