Never disappoints

Love this classic UWS French Bistro food. It is an old NYC classic without the fuss and obnoxious trendiness of many other NYC spots. Convenient to Lincoln Center for a great dinner or a late night martini!

One of our favorite restaurants at Lincoln Center. The wife and I have gone there since about 1985, two to three times a year when we attend performances. We were there twice in December, 2015 once by ourselves and again with my son and his family. Both visits were fine. But on Saturday, Jan. 30, it was a total disaster.... More

Very busy but by calling ahead we got a table for brunch on a Saturday. The tuna burger and Luxembourger (beef burger) were both amazing, great quality meat cooked expertly. My 2-year old daughter really had fun with the crayons she was given and the paper tablecloth. She also enjoyed the pear sorbet we had for dessert. Our waiter was... More

Hey there Mike, first of all, thanks for visiting us on your trip all the way from the UK. There are so many great local businesses in the area -- it's an honor that you chose ours to enjoy a meal at. It sounds like you and your family really enjoyed your brunch all the down to the pear sorbet... More

One of my favourite brunch places in the neighbourhood. Always packed and always a good atmosphere. Pro-tip: order the croque-monsieur it is delicious and easily the best I have eaten in New York City.

My wife and I had a lovely lunch at Cafe Luxembourg which was established 32 years ago. The place seems to be very popular with the locals. The staff was very friendly and professional. The interior is great and the food fresh and tasty. The steak tartare was excellent as well as the cocktails we had with it. We highly recommend... More

A great place to go, especially if you're going to Lincoln Center afterwards. It has the feel of a French bistro. Great entrée selection, portions just right. Service impeccable.

A trendy, casual restaurant with exceptional service. The food was very good. I was however, disappointed with the strip steak special. It was tough and chewy. Soups and salad were very good as well. I would be willing to return to try again.

When Cafe Luxembourg first opened in 1983, I was a young auctioneer at Sotheby's and the Upper West Side was still sketchy. This was the type of place you only went to if you were deeply in the know. My clients took me--the WASPy investment banker with his African American model wife, the hottest and chicest experts at Sotheby's sometimes... More

I loved this place. From the moment you walk through the doors, you'll feel the warmth, coziness and energy. Much of the food is French Bistro, and I had the best Croque Monsiuer I've ever eaten outside of France. although we sat at a table for lunch, the bar scene seemed really great and many folks were meeting having their... My husband and I were in NYC for Christmas Day and we're looking for a restaurant to go to before the Theatre. Cafe Luxembourg was open and looked busy. I ordered a vegetarian entree that sounded interesting. It turned out to be an overpriced order of canned black beans. My mixed green salad was just that 6 different lettuce leaves-... More

It's unfortunate that you didn't find your meal to be excellent this time around, Ntab. We're confident we can do so much better for you, though, is there any way we could convince you to come back for a more well-known dish next time you visit the city? All the best, Luxembourg Management More
