I like this place for many reasons, they: - serve a great breakfast every day - make great eggs Benedict and country salad - have a neat decor and cozy feel - are a great staff, intrusive and attentive They also take reservations for every seating which is good.

Food was very good but our group of seven spent $500 and there wasn't a lot of drinking and we ordered things like burgers and fish and chips . . . there are probably more economical French restaurants in this city . . .

Glad to hear you enjoyed your meal, Frieda! While I'm sorry you felt your total was a bit on the expensive side, we do our absolute best to keep our prices fair to our patrons and competitive with other New York City restaurants. That said, I'm glad your party enjoyed dining with us. I hope we'll see you again! All... More

I eat here at least two times a month and have done so for years. The room is very much a lovely french bistro in it's decor with loads of flowers. I love their brunch, lunch and dinner. I have tried almost everything they serve. Their omelettes are outstanding and they give you a choice of 4 fillings out of... More

Nikki, we're thrilled that you've been a part of the Cafe Luxembourg family for so long! While it's wonderful to hear you usually love each meal, we're sorry to hear you last visit was not up to our normal standard. We guarantee perfection next time. I would love to hear what specifically you did not care for about the fish.... More

Always appreciate good French bistro fare in the US that is authentic and leaves you wishing you had a second stomach. This well known Upper West Side restaurant is worth the hunt, especially for the Country salad and the Calf liver. The Moules Frites is a great second choice, though I am looking forward to an upcoming December trip to... More

This boîte has endured at least 25 years. Lively brunch with standard bistro fare. Crowded and noisy on a Sunday morning. But, service is good and food as you'd expect. Croque Monsieur, Benedict with Smoke Salmon all adequate. A strange translation of Huevos Rancheros, but what the heck. It's not French.

We know our dining room can be a bit bustling on Sunday mornings, but we're thrilled to hear you enjoyed your meal. Our kitchen is always up for a challenge, so we try to mix things up every once in a while. Hope you'll come back for breakfast when it's a little more quiet. ALthough we had a great booth against the back wall where we could see everything, the service was just adequate and the food just so so. I would say that it is a overrated even though long established.

I'm sorry to hear you were underwhelmed on your last visit. Normally our team brings their A-game to each and every table, so I'm surprised to hear it was just adequate when you came in. I hope you'll give us another chance to prove we have what it takes to deliver the 5-star experience I know we're capable of. Sincerely,... More

Fantastic! Lively and outstanding food and drinks Waitstaff could not have been better! The main courses looked fabulous, but even their burger (which I chose), was the best I've ever had. Delicious sorbet for dessert.

Café Luxembourg is a boisterous French bistro on West 70th street. Tables are close together, coats cannot be checked, but there are coat hangers in the restaurant. This restaurant has pretty good reviews on the internet but I found it overrated. The onion soup I had for an appetizer was fine, as a main course I ordered steak frites, along... More

Sorry to hear you think we're overrated. While it's great to hear you enjoyed our French Onion Soup, it's unfortunate you were unimpressed with the steak and frites entree. We want each and every one of our guests to fully enjoy their meal, and would have been more than happy to replace your frites with a portion less seasoned. I... More
