Great place for breakfast and brunch

We are staying for a couple of days in New York and took our breakfast the first day here at the Luxembourg. It was a very pleasable and nice experience. They offer great and also healthy food and the service is charming.

Amazing bar service from Jose, his knowledge was extensive and his attention to detail was outstanding. We both had a lovely experience. The food was delicious and perfectly complimented by Jose's recommendations. We will definitely be returning. The best service we have both had in a restaurant and we ate at the bar. Thank you!

Vibrant atmosphere, great service and wonderful food - what more could you want in a restaurant? Every time I go it feels special and I will keep feeling special as long as it stays open.

Gareth, we definitely aren't going anywhere, so hopefully we'll be able to make you feel special for many more years to come. Thank you so much for your support, and we look forward to seeing you again soon. Warmly, Luxembourg Management More

In a city with tons of restaurant, this is one that has maintained its standards for many years. The burgers are a delicacy and the fish and salads are incredible. I have friends who have been coming here from out of state every time they come to NYC for decades. The wine list is wonderful and the wait staff is... More

fpthis place was recommended by a few friends so I was looking forward to dinner but what a disappointment (service not food). 20 mins after we were seated and still no one had even asked us if we wanted a drink never mind food. Food was good when it arrived but this place needs to sharpen up if it wants... More

Hey there, this definitely sounds like a miscommunication amongst our staff. We can promise you our service is normally very sharp, and someone must have just missed the greeting phase for you. Obviously, there's no excuse for having to wait nearly 20 minutes for someone to show up to the table, so we want to offer our apologies for that.... More

Met friends for a late lunch. The place was packed. 4 of us were packed at a Very small table. Ambiance was loud. Pomme frittes were great, as was the BLT. Price was no worse than other lunch places, but the crowdedness was a detriment.

Mary, while it does get extra busy during the lunch rush, we would hope it didn't impact your visit too much. We'd love it if you and your friends came back to enjoy some more frites at another time so we can show you what we're really about without any distractions. If you ever make it back to the city,... I've been to Cafe Luxembourg many times, and this Sunday brunch was bustling, however the front desk staff was really accommodating. We had an OpenTable reso, so one cannot expect an on time seating. Cafe Luxembourg was only off by 6 minutes. No problemo. I would suggest calling the restaurant directly for a reso. Food: Salmon tartare w/ jalapeno, superb!... More

You had the classic Cafe Luxembourg experience, it sounds like! We're so glad you came in for brunch and had a good time. You certainly know your way around, too, based on your knowledge of the frites. Needless to say, we look forward to seeing you again next time you're looking for an authentic French brunch experience. 'Til then, Luxembourg... More

This is a cozy and intimate space serving classic bistro fare near Lincoln Center. Attentive service. Had steak frites, lobster roll and roast chicken with an excellent Cote du Rhone, followed by crime brûlée and lemon tart. All superb. Will return.

This is a good restaurant, but not a great restaurant. I live close by and so a few times a year I will dine here. It is always very crowded and the tables are very close together. The food is decent and the classics like the steak, the fish, and the famed french fries are always good. If you want... More

From the moment you enter Cafe Luxembourg, you half expect everyone to be speaking French. That is how authentically Parisienne the atmosphere and the aromas are! The menu does not, hhowever adhere strickly to the old school bistro fare. There is no pate en croute or onion soup. But there are some familiar favorites like duck liver mousse and frisee salad.... "That is how authentically Parisienne the atmosphere and the aromas are" -- those opening lines really drove home some big smiles for us, Altina.
