Dined with friends after ballet at Lincoln Center. Friends had Steak tartare and a burger. I had the lamb chops and my wife had the loup de mer. Although both were tasty, neither was special. I also found the portions to be small, perhaps because they were part of the prix fixe menu. I had onion soup to start -... More

There just wasn't anything about this restaurant to warrant the high prices. Service wasn't the best and we didn't enjoy the food The only thing good about the Duck Liver Mousse was the rhubarb sauce that accompanied it. The Lobster Roll left much to be desired. The Country Salad was tasty.

We're sorry to hear you weren't all that impressed with the food -- we always strive to ensure that everything you try would be a hit, but that's not always possible. We apologize that you felt the service was lacking. As you can see from other reviews, we consistently have unobtrusive, yet friendly and knowledgeable servers. If you return, please... More

I like the fact that you can order a la carte or take advantage of the prix fixe (one appetizer plus one entree), with only a couple of items involving a supplemental charge. The tables are really close and the noise level is high, but the food is really good. I started with the duck liver mousse (with salted strawberries,... More

I have been coming here for more than 30 years and still like it som much that I recommend friends that plan to visit New York to go there. I know the place from the eighties when I lived in NYC. The ambiance is unchanged and nice. The food is still great and the staff is young, friendly, super helpful,... More

Above average Parisian style bistro. The steak tartare was very tasty, as was the salmon bagel. Good neighbourhood restaurant.

If you're a nostalgic Francophile, or you need a little taste of Paris in your life, but don't want to fly across the Atlantic, then visit the Cafe Luxembourg located on West 70th Street, just off Amsterdam Avenue. Except for the New York accents surrounding you, the food and ambiance will transport you to Paris, sans surly waiters. We returned... More

Everything was very enjoyable at this convienent restaurant near the Triad theater. They didn't serve dinner until 5, but we were seated and offered a wine and appetizer list. The service was excellent and had time to enjoy a wonderful dessert before our 7pm show.
