This eatery is a true gem. The food is beyond delicious, and the prices are a real bargain. Enjoyed the entire experience.

Popped in to get a Carne Enchilada Torta to go. It was good although I've had better in NYC (Cafe Ollin comes to mind). I may have given the place (hole in the wall is a good description) 4 stars based on taste and price but they tried to charge me over $7 despite a sign on the window advertising... More

That's what the locals say and they ought to know. Every time I come here I have a Homer Simpson moment: Doh! Why don't I come here more often. For starters, the guacamole, fiery with jalapeños if you want, is always fresh and delicious and the Corona is cold. Then there's the beans and rice. It is far from ordinary... More

This crowded (a good sign), little, rather dingy place has great Mexican food, with large portions. It's a student hangout. Service is so-so, but I wouldn't expect white gloves here. Tortilla chips (standard intro fare) came with sampling of 3 salsas of varying hot-ness. Bluefish enchilada order was inexpensive and very filling, coming with rice and beans and a tiny... More

This authentic hole-in-the-wall Mexican has been delighting Upper West Siders and Columbia University students since it opened about 15 years ago. Go for the tacos and giant burritos - the carnitas and bistec are very, very good. The place smells like a taco truck in Mexico City -- and the tacos are equally good. The avocado and tomatillo sauces are... More

I when to this restaurant on a weekday in search of a real mexican restaurant, "small" casual, confortable space, mexican staff, mexican chef, the real deal. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the food whats even better. I order a burrito and it was enormous and the taste is like no other. I am going back to try a... More

I've ordered out here, and have never been disappointed with the food. The tacos are huge and the prices are great. The tamales are also delicious. When I first ordered, I got too much because I didn't know how big the tacos are, but it was nice to have food for lunch the next day, too. One time, the delivery... More

Good, very authentic Mexican, quite reasonably priced, but it's a hole in the wall & smokey from the grill. Best for takeout unless they can expand & move you away from the nasty noisy refrigerator cases.

Never been there. Only order delivery. It's an amazingly authentic place for NYC. I usually order a few tacos (liver, tripe, tongue etc....) and they are always delicious and cheap!
