This restaurant never disappoints - food is great, service is quick and attentive, nice outdoor seating, really good drinks. Once you find it, you keep coming back.

We arrive on time for a 7:30 reservation and were told it would be 15-20 minutes wait. When we protested there was an apology but no offer of anything to make the wait more pleasant. We asked for a manager and she was no more helpful. Offering a glass of wine would have gone a long way. Instead we were... More

Whilst looking for a restaurant near the Beacon Hotel we came across this restaurant. We ate inside and the ambience was very pleasant and the hanger steak and pasta vongole were excellent. It was a good choice and we enjoyed our evening here.

We have eaten here before with good service and excellent food. Our recent experience was quite different. We showed up for a 6:30 reservation and were told it would be 15 minutes. After 20 minutes, the hostess said they would provide us with a wine tasting at the bar because our wait was now nearing 30 minutes and would be... More

I'll preface by saying that my family loves this place. We came here for my college graduation once upon a time, when my grandmother was pre-dementia and could travel, and this is where over dinner my mother met by now-husband five years ago. We have loved coming here until last night. My parents and I were having dinner with my... More

The setting is beautiful; Given the warm weather we sat outdoors - perfect for people watching, the inside dining area is just as lovely; low lighting, lots of vintage wines on display and exposed brick-work. My niece is gluten intolerant and so the gluten-free menu was just perfect for her. I had salmon with spinach and asparagus which was cooked... More

While sidewalk tables are enticing, step instead out of the bustle of Columbus Avenue into the Old World charm of this Italian bistro with a handsome bar, white tablecloths, tin ceiling & dark wood walls covered w/ old photos of Italy. The Italian family dining & talking happily a few tables away confirmed our choice & coupled w/ cordial efficient... More

We purchased their picnic basket which included prosciutto sandwiches and vegetable sandwiches. Mozzerella and Tomatoes and great italian bread. Dessert was lemon bars and Biscotti. Bottles of water. We purchased these baskets thru Groupon. It was really great, a definite must since they are a block away from central park.

I would strongly recommend you avoid this place. I got the Groupon picnic for two and was more than disappointed. First, it is grossly overpriced at $40 for the two little Panini, pasta salad, and antipasto that you get. Plus, they will make you pay another $5 there--tax and "packing fee". For $45, you can get this food and more... More

Pappardella has become our favorite restaurant in this beautiful NYC neighborhood. My family and I were there for the third time on Friday, August 15. We brought with us a close friend of our son's and had gone into the city to take a tour of Columbia University. I had no doubts about where to make a dinner reservation in... More
