We only had 4 full days in New York and it was our day to visit Central Park. Everyone had told us we should visit Tavern on the Green for lunch, but since they required reservations, we decided to "wing it" and look for a restaurant near the Strawberry Fields section of the park just before we entered. We were... More

The hostess was extremely rude and gave us dirty looks when we asked simple questions relating to food allergies. This totally ruined our meal. If it were the first time this happened, it would be one thing, but it's the third time we went there, and each time she was just as rude.

My wife loves Italian food but I have a gluten allergy which makes eating at Italian restaurants a challenge. So when I read positive gluten free reviews on this and other sites, we had high hopes and expectations. Only to be ruined by bland food and a server who told us our food was fine and we were wrong. Gluten... More

Pappardella on 75th and Columbus offers a perfect and delicious picnic lunch! I found the deal on travelzoo for $39. This picture perfect lunch consisted of 2 full size sandwiches of tomato, mozzarella and prosciutto; an antipasto of olives, provolone, roasted red peppers, salami, blue cheese, goat cheese; a pesto pasta salad. Then for dessert 2 lemon bars and biscotti.... More

Both the food and service were fantastic. We purchased a prix fixe dinner through Living Social, which meant we were presented with a specific menu and we were not disappointed as there were plenty of choices. We started with a basket of delicious warm bread that was brought promptly to our table. We decided to share two appetizers, a caprese... More

It has taken us just over two years to get back to Pappardella and food wise we were not disappointed. Once again we all enjoyed our meals. The only problem was because it was a Saturday night, the restaurant was very busy and the service was not quite as good as last time. Also it was very noisy and that... More

We booked this Italian restaurant on line before flying to New York, knew it was a set menu and reserved a table for 8pm. The outside is pretty with seating. The receptionist said our voucher was to be used before 8 pm so could we come back. Explained it was our last night in New York and she let us... More

If you want a quiet satisfying Italian restaurant, this is it. The place is not that large. The food while not super gourmet, it is quite well prepared and delicious.
