A pleasant walk to Lincoln Center

We booked a table at Pappardella for two reasons: it's an easy walk of just a few blocks to Lincoln Center and they have an extensive selection of gluten-free items. The ambience is lovely and romantic with cozy warm lighting, a wall of wine bottles, and a beautiful, enormous mural of the Arno... read more

Very impressed with the gluten free pasta. Not so impressed with the waitress claiming the gratuity added to our bill was not tip so we ended up double tipping.

The restaurant was warm and lovely, and although we came with a Blackboard Eats coupon, they treated us so graciously. Pizzas were not my favorite (a bit too doughy instead of a thin, crisp crust), but the salmon and the pastas were excellent. Same for the salad we ordered. Only minor glitch is that before we were finished with the... More

Stopped in for a late lunch after a visit to the Amer Museum of Natural History. We were seated and served quickly. Had the Panino di Pollo - yummy and my husband had the Gnocchi - a bit on the softer side but I guess that is more "authentic" - either way the flavor was great! My son had the... More

This is a cozy neighborhood Italian restaurant with high tin ceilings, brick walls and a buzzy but not loud feel. While it was busy, we were pleased to land a table for three without a reservation on a Thursday night. The service was attentive and friendly. My only critique is that the food quality was a bit inconsistent. The soup... More

Very pleasant evening with friends who live nearby and are regular visitors. The place was packed out - reservations essential - and I can see why. Good honest food, friendly service and good value. Some imagination / creativity on the menu, too - there is more than just "standard" fare on offer.

Back in the fall, I came here with friends who had dined at the restaurant previously. Pappardella served up very well prepared standard Italian favorites, and tasty pizzas. Pleasant environment and service was quite good as well. A solid choice on the UWS for Italian cuisine.

Before I was diagnosed with Celiacs I was very fond of Italian food and pasta. Thankfully restaurants like Pappardella exist so those of us with Celiacs can still enjoy the food we love! This restaurant has a sizeable gf menu. Not just a few options but a complete menu. We came here with the family after going to Lincoln Center... More
