Very relaxing enjoyable lunch. 3 of us gals on a day trip to NYC.. as we arrived at Jane, 1 discovered a wad of all her money had fallen out[?] of her purse...such stress...the waiter was very sympathetic.... We asked if they are known for anything special...he told us the ricotta gnocchi are fabulous and were even on the Food... More

When in NY you get used to ridiculous prices but forgive them if the food is great. Well, the French toast at Jane was GREAT. Full of vanilla flavor, didn't need lots of syrup, evenly cooked with a slightly crispy crust. If there is an art to French toast, their chef is a master artist.

Great selection that goes beyond your typical brunch staples. I had the shrimp hue is rancheros and it was awesome. It's a cute place with plenty of space, you're not too crowded. And on a Sunday at 11:30 we only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table! Good coffee too!

Friends picked this place for a brunch following a party night out. The food is a bit pricey but was tasty. Drinks were especially pricey...too much so. $10 for a smaller bloody mary (and that was a special price off the regular $13). Loved the varied selection on the menu and was happy we could get either breakfast or lunch.

This popular eatery on Houston is bustling for brunch, even before noon, which is saying something now that NYC no longer allows alcohol to be served before noon on Sundays. The food is good, fine breakfast fare. I had the biscuits and gravy, and while pretty heavy on the rosemary the dish was good. The grit cakes are well prepared... More

A friend and I stopped in for a light meal late on a Saturday. One thing I really liked was the stairs to the lower level lit by candles. Very lovely and romantic looking. Houston Street is right outside the front wall of windows and we got a table by the open door on a warm summer night. I ordered... More

Our table for 6 was way to small and "squeezed" into an area that should have only had a 2 top. No one could get by or out. The table surface barely held the plates. Yes the food was good (not great). However, very crowded. Waiter required reminders to bring things previously forgotten. By the time we left the line... More

Great chicken and waffles...the bloody mary had the best garnish and was just perfectly spiced. Huge line up but we sat at the bar with no wait. Great little spot in nyc!

Recently visited NYC with a friend who frequents NY. We had a Sunday Brunch with a 12:15 reservation. The wait was tremendous. We were not seated until after 12:30. It's my understanding that a complimentary cocktail is served after noon and thus, people at tables wait until noon to order. That holds up the tables. An improvement would be to... More

We tried this place bc my sister made a reservation. I was hesistant to do brunch in this neighborhood bc it's almost always a scene and not worth it. Sure enough, it lived up to the expectations. The hostess acted like she was doing us a favor, having waited 30 minutes for a table we had a reservation for, and... More
