Fresh and Well-prepared

We came here courtesy of a recommendation from our daughter who enjoys well-cooked and reasonably priced food. We were not disappointed. My spouse and I had the Special of the Day crab and avacado sushi roll with brown rice, miso soup, and black eye bean and vegetable soup. Very tasty and filling... read more

All I can guess is that negative reviews come from people who do not put quality of ingredients first, are used to over-salted, sugared, chain restaurant fare. I do put health first, always want to eat organic, so eat at one or the other of the Souen restaurants 2-3 times a week. It's like my kitchen away from home, and... More

Overall, Bad. Food subpar at best, and overpriced for the quality. Service was slow. 'Crunchy cabbage salad" was literally a small bowl of plain cabbage..for seven dollars.

I go here often when I can, the food is nothing over the top but they always have a very wide variety to choose from and you should be able to find something you like. If you care about healthy food this is a good option.

Decided to stop in for lunch with my cousin after seeing their outside board with fish, vegan and macro food offerings. Friendly host, got seated right away. The menu took a little getting used to but in the end you can customize your food in enough ways. And this is from where the whole thing went downhill. Our server was... More

Great food, no doubt. However, this place is so noisy one can't hear himself think...the ambience of some train station. Gotta do somethin' about this, please!

A great place to introduce yourself to macrobiotic food. I had a hearty fish soup and a vegetable stew. Big portions and very well priced. The place itself lacks style, feels rundown and the service could need more consistency. A nice smile is not enough, unfortunately. Healthy food can and should be served in a nice professional setting.

I enjoy food and am open to trying all different types of cuisines. I eat anything, so I was open to trying this place. I ordered something pretty basic and it wasn't at all what I expected, and furthermore, it didn't taste very good. I didn't even finish my dish and left hungry. My friend liked his food, so maybe...
