Terrific flavor and service

ate in the 10th floor privte dining room for a business dinner and it was a superb dining evening. Small outdoor terrace for cocktails followed by warm flaky rolls with herb flavored butters and a warm goat cheese salad. I had the flat iron steak which was done perfectly medium rare and was very... read more

The food here was absolutely fantastic and so refined with he flavors being perfectly balanced. Unfortunately there was a large party at the bar which was very disturbing and most of the patrons were looking at them in the same way. Once they left, the ambiance improved 10 fold!

Was excited to try a different celebrity chef restaurant. There are better options in NYC than Butter. The menu was interesting and the food was good, not great. A little over priced. Service was good but front of house staff was snooty. Very noisy. We understand completely about not seating guests until the entire party has arrived (well, don't completely... More

Enjoyed a wonderful business lunch at Butter this month. The restaurant is beautifully appointed, very stylish and boasts a dining room under a massive skylight peering up between some great midtown buildings. The service was top-notch. And the food? De-light-ful. I had the Roasted Scattered Acres Chicken Breast with brussels sprouts, and I'd have it again. Highly recommend Butter Midtown!

This is not a cheap place but the meal was absolutely incredible!!! I had the filet and my wife had the duck breast, both were awesome! We will definitely come back next time we're in NYC!!!

Atmosphere was fabulous! Location is perfect if you are staying near Time Square or at a show. The service was incredibly slow. Two hours for brunch? Yikes! Food was good, but really not memorable. It was just ok

Butter is simply one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in. (And I have been to a few) Owned by Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli, The food has flavor profiles I have never tasted before and the food dances on your tongue. I had the Filet Mignon and you could have cut in with a spoon!. My nephew had... More

We went here because of Alex Guarnaschelli, whom we've watched on Chopped forever. The place is elegant, the service is friendly and efficient, the menu is different, and the food is terrific. And we got to watch Alex at the display kitchen for most of the evening. We don't get to NYC often enough, but we'll be back here for... More

Went to Butter for lunch with a group of friends. Overall a nice experience. Service and food were above average. Would go again in the future.

We made reservations two days ahead - reply was quick and the place was packed on the evening we went. So I'm thinking it's a great place where you can eat a truly excellent meal and not have to make reservations one month ahead. The cocktails were delicious!
