Great meal near Broadway

This is a great place for a pre Broadway meal. Location is so close to the theaters. Ambiance is awesome. We had a booth which was very private. Better yet is the food. Great choices. Very eclectic. We shared dishes. The Bibb lettuce salad was one of the best salads I have had. Gnocchi Mac and... read more

We are big fans of Chef Alex Guarnicelli from watching the food network and have always wanted to try her restaurant. It is very unassuming from the outside but after you enter the front door you descend the staircase into a beautiful and inviting bar and seating area. The ceiling is beautiful and adds to the decor. The wait staff... More

We ate at Butter last night on the last night of Restaurant Week. What a great experience! A really lovely restaurant with wood and brass and strategically placed lamps and skylights. We were in the back on raised platforms that gave us a great deal of privacy. The reception and wait staff were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The specialty drinks... More

I went for restaurant week and was impressed by both the food, the atmosphere and the service. I felt the prixe fix menu for restaurant week was adequate in terms of choice. I had the friend green tomato crustini, the salmon entree and the chocolate desert. In addition, the bread basket was really good. The atmosphere was very nice but... More

Dined during restaurant week while visiting from out of town. The food quality is what you'd expect from a Food Network Chef, and the ambiance was nice for being near Times Square. Crowd was more business than tourist, which is a welcome relief from the crush of the tourists. We enjoyed our dinner and everything was okay, but a day... More

We had a 7:30 pm reservation. They called us and said could we come later because they got very busy. We said that was not possible ; we had to get up early the next morning. When we got to the restaurant they denied we had the 7:30 pm reservation . We made it over a week ago. They wouldn't... More

I had lunch with a friend during restaurant week. I inhaled the bread with the garlic butter- so yummy! Had the corn crab bisque, the short ribs and vanilla tart. Food was tasty, and I enjoyed every bite. The waiter was attentive also. I would definitely eat here again.

Interesting menu combining mall plates and regular entrees. Several very good vegetarian options and I am not a vegetarian. Shrimp cocktail unusual and great, cauliflower entree was one of the best we had. Mushroom tart was a little too buttery for my taste. Bread was great service was attentive. Wine list was interesting by the glass but not huge. Selections... More

My wife is a good cook and watches all those cooking shows and has seen Alex many times, so that is why we went. Don't get me wrong, the place is nice and maybe I am hard to impress (my wife and I eat out a lot). The decor was nice but not at the wow factor. Food was good,... More

Went for prix fixe menu during restaurant week, and it was outstanding. High quality food with delicious combinations of flavors and textures. Only disappointments were: the vegetarian entree was delicious but very meager. It was a 2 inch by 4 inch slice of cauliflower on a bed of sauce. Again, delicious, but who feels satisfied with a salad appetizer, a... More
