Real food, very good taste

Every dish, every item has a taste and feel of real good food, the menu is just right, the setting very agreeable in Tribeca. The staff are attentive and appreciate the customer. Friendly to kids, a very nice place to eat.

We lived in Tribeca from 1989-1991 and were always at Bubby's. The food was excellent and we often saw movie stars eating there. Well, Bubby's is still popular, and the service is quite good, but the food is now just average. The coffee was not good at all, although it was some very fancy blend. It had a sharp, acidic... Great location at the end of the High Line walk if you start at 30th. Another farm to table, good solid brunch. If you go on a Saturday make sure you get their before 11:30 or it could be awhile, busy crowd. Sit outside, the noise level inside is very high. Eggs benedict were over cooked, My only complaint was... More

It was my friend's and my luck to see Bubby's while we were out walking the Chelsea Highline. Chris our server was not only patient while I decided what yummy treat I wanted, he was also very friendly. When I had narrowed it down to two choices he recommended the Banoffee pie over the other. Bananas, toffee, expresso, brown sugar,... More

We ate here on a Sunday and managed to get in just before a wait formed. The food was great, although I somehow forgot that blue laws in NYC prohibit alcohol before noon (probably why there was no wait:) ). I would have liked to try their bloody mary because everything else was fabulous. I had a challah bread french... More

Good food but nothing special. Good service. I had a Moscow Mule Cocktail which was flavourless. Wouldn't rush back.

This Tribeca restaurant brings wholesome farm products to your table. Great quality fresh food ( their own smoked salmon is to die for) is served up in generous proportions. Huge Cobb salad, delicioso huevos rancheros. Interesting cocktails to accompany your meal.

My son go's there on a fairly regular basis. I found the food, service and atmosphere to be above average. I had the braised rib pot pie and he had the chicken and waffles. Both were very good. Alcohol drink prices were $11-12 which I guess is about right for the city. Price for two without alcohol and with 1... More

So, I had heard about the "pastry basket" at Bubby's and so we started with that. The apple pop up was incredible. Flaky, warm and delicious. The blueberry muffins were loaded with fresh blueberries and very good. The raspberry scone was not good. Dough was dull and no flavor. My brother ordered breakfast complete with blueberry pancakes and the eggs,... More

We LOVED brunch here - so much we went 3 out of 4 mornings. Really good food, all the classics as well as some super healthy options too, inventive cold pressed juices. The staff are lovely, the atmosphere relaxed and there's space, you're not packed in like sardines!

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
