Dinner near The Whitney

Fun laid back restaurant with good food and good friendly service. We actually came for the bbq listed on their website but they admitted that it had not been updated in a while which is why there was none on the menu. We decided then to order half rack of ribs and nachos. Ribs were meaty with a... read more

We were on a trip with elderly parents in their late 80's as part of a bucket list wish for Dad who is very ill. Our last experience, when we went with the children some years earlier had been great and we thought it would be a good place to go for breakfast NY style. The table we were given... More

Great food in a good location. The restaurant is in an older building which has character. I had the Huevos Rancheros with a side of hash, cooked well and tasted great. The wife had pancakes with banana and maple syrup, they were huge and couldn't finish them. Reasonably priced and good service.

Great place for a brunch, 3 of us arrived, got a table really quickly. We had superb service with food to match, most memorable meal in a 5 day trip to NYC. Loved the atmosphere and everyone seemed to be having as good a time as we were. Wish i could get there every weekend

I had the burger during the "intermission" time. it was very good and the drink was tasty - a bourbon sweet tea. The photo booth downstairs looked fun.

This is a typical NY feeling restaurant in the Meatpacking District. Right across the street from the Whitney Museum. Food is delish. Usual brunch options - great Bloody Mary's but crazy busy. No reservations and we waited about an hour for a table. Not unusual on Sunday, I'm told. Really healthy food and then there's the French Toast Cake!! Give... More

Loved everything about it. Our server was so nice! Quality of the food was perfect, We waited only about a half an hour for a table to open up--Bartenders had great sense of humor! Atmosphere was perfect--It is all windows so it was very bright and could see the walkers going by outside. Tried to go to Bubby's Hi-Line the... More

I love Bubby's - it is a Tibeca institution. Love the food - my fav is the kale Cobb salad. It's made with Tuscan kale and is super delicious. My husband loves their biscuits (although he was confused but the side salads that come with the eggs Benedict). Good coffee too. And a nice selection of brunch cocktails and craft... More

Bubby's looked like a fun place. It was crowded but we got an outside table fairly quickly. It took a very long time to get our drinks and then the order wasn't right! Waited so long for the right order that we had to go search it out! Bartender whipped up the right order~~but the glass was cracked! Oh my!... More

Lovely setting for a lazy brunch. Loads of choice on menu, if a little pricey. Food is excellent. Staff are hit and miss. No free coffee refills!

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
