The service is out of this world, attentive, fun and charming without being too pushy especially for the Europeans that like to be left alone when they dine. Stylish, elegant, the food amazing!!! Ask for half of the portion when ordering main as the portions are typical American- very big . Expensive but a fine dinning it is. Highly recommended.

My husband and I went to Il Cantinori for lunch during restaurant week, and the entire experience was fabulous from start to finish. Highlights included the salmon carpaccio, the eggplant ricotta appetizer and the filet of sole. It's the best Italian we've found in the city. We'll definitely be returning asap.

If you had to pick one restaurant to dine at every time your in NYC this would be it. No pretense, just great food. This restaurant came highly recommended. We asked for a specific waiter who was not working the night we visited. So instead the manager gave us their newest waiter. Does that make sense? My son moved in across the street from Il Cantinori. I was impressed with the open front that the place has. Stop in for dinner. It was excellent. The atmosphere is very cozy and relaxed. The waitstaff very professional with an in debt knowledge of the menu. The food and wine absolutely outstanding. Try the homemade pasta.

We had an amazing dinner experience. Right around the corner from NYU on a lovely street with great ambiance. We ordered three different entrees, all were exquisite. The pastas are homemade!! Service was outstanding. We will return every time we visit out child.

Il Cantinori leaves a long lasting impression year after year. The classic italian food there is exceptional. Good wine list. Great service.
