Description: Pastis is a French bistro located in Manhattan's meatpacking district opened by Keith McNally. Executive Chef Pascal Le Seac'h prepares a menu that combines hearty Provencal dishes with moderately-priced bistro fare. The bar serves a range of house cocktails, wines by the glass, carafe or bottle, and several varieties of pastis, an anise-flavored aperitif from the south of France.

It's not about the celebs at the next table, and it's not about the high tech gastro creations, it's about the ' mood & the food'. Cobbled streets lead to this tiled temple to Franco/American cuisine. Step inside and breath in the atmosphere. Great oysters, mussels, and other seafood.. Steak/frittes, .. etc.. fun echos off the walls.. a favorite place..

Pastis is our Petit Dej place in NYC. It has all the charm of a french bistrot together with the coolness of NYC. Sizes are very generous and the Salmon or the omelettes are fantastic. Even the Cappuccino is good....

I'm told pastis is somewhat of a meatpacking institution, and it's easy to see why it enjoys that reputation. Classic french food executed well, with a touch of new york hipster service. Great brunch!

Came here with my family- the venue is great, really nice atmos, however the food was just average to me for the price. I much prefer Balthazar to this place. If you are into a scene and like people watching, this could be good for you.

Was back in NYC last month and planned a trip to Pastis again. I was very disappointed to find it has closed for renovations. Oh well - something to look forward to for the next trip!

This is the place where Sex in the City would often be filmed. Tried it for breakfast and evening meals and every time it was great. Great atmosphere, great service and good food. Love it.
