Description: Pastis is a French bistro located in Manhattan's meatpacking district opened by Keith McNally. Executive Chef Pascal Le Seac'h prepares a menu that combines hearty Provencal dishes with moderately-priced bistro fare. The bar serves a range of house cocktails, wines by the glass, carafe or bottle, and several varieties of pastis, an anise-flavored aperitif from the south of France.

Food and service are great. I particularly love the crepe Suzette, arugula salad, ricard, french fries , steak, etc, etc, We generally go whenever we're in the city for trade shows, the cheese plate is excellent. Also, decor is so European, I feel lIke I'm actually on France.

We visited Pastis for breakfast after it was recommended by a friend - we initially had a little trouble finding it from the directions we had but glad we persevered as we loved it. A great place, with lovely atmosphere and amazing eggs benedict. In fact we loved it so much that we visited again on our last morning in... More

what a lively closing evening spent at Pastis --- so many coming out to absorb the atmosphere on their final evening dinner service! and true to form they did not disappoint and left such a remarkable impression that I cannot wait for them to open again after renovations!! )))

I always go to Pastis whenever I visit NY. This time English breakfast was quite disappointing. Bacon was just fat, beans were no different that the canned ones. Extra toasts were not served for jam and butter. Service and coffee was very good.

This cute place exudes style and upon entering you are transported to a bistro-style property found in any French city. The service was very friendly and courteous with a knowledgeable and attentive server. I had a light lunch and what stole the show was the warm french onion soup I had, a welcomed meal on a cold winter day. My... More

Parisienne type restaurant in Meatmarket district of Manhattan. Apparently owned by a Scottish guy. Nice atmosphere. Not sure about the wine. Ordered a carafe of Malbec and either it wasn't Malbec or it had been lying open for a while. Service was good and food was plentiful. Would definitely return. About $140 for two including wine.

Met a friend here for dinner who informed us the restaurant is closing soon. She wanted us to enjoy a meal before that time. Seated promptly. Tables are small but give you the feeling of a Paris cafe. Dinner specials were varied and interesting. Delicious veal, mussels, and poulet w/noodles and mushrooms. Didn't have room for dessert, but I'm sure... More
