Had a business dinner here the other night and downstairs is the way to go. Quieter.....and more relaxed. Order either of the porchetta or the risotto and you won't go wrong. Good, well priced wine list.

Located just north of Houston Street, this place is fun. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is funky, and the service was good. I would definitely eat there again.

Very disappointed in Il Buco. Had heard good things about it. Very confusing menu, which had to be changed by the waiter for 2 of the 4 in our party, outdated and a page missing. wine list was very expensive and the wine ordered was the wrong vintage. Charging a $1 a person for bread is also a put off in... More

Absolutely top notch homemade pasta with fresh artichokes and truffles, veal Milanese, and pasta with prosciutto. We ordered a kale Caesar salad for the table which was wonderful. The bread was excellent and the service very prompt and friendly. Made reservations two weeks ahead.

The minute you step inside this wonderful restaurant, you are transported to a true Tuscan dining experience. The interiors are reminiscent of a rustic rural Italian setting. The presentation and flavors are excellent. While the lunch menu is a bit limited, there are still plenty of selections for the discerning palate.

We had great expectations, due to good recommendations on tripadvisor and nye.com. What a great mistake we made. My wife, got a tuna maincourse, that were overcooked, (not grilled). The beans looked like they came from tin cans, and the mistake were tried to be repeared by a lot of pepper. Not good. The price were high, for a meal... More

NYC is the Mecca of gastronomic variety.Within that bewildering range Il Buco is a great example of a neighbourhood restaurants where atmosphere, decor, and gastronomy meld together into a fine offering. Nestled in a side street, quiet ( a grand feat in the US),yet with a most pleasant atmosphere the restaurant offers tasty, creative and well presented variations of Italian staples. The... More
