Delicious. Polite. Quick

Need I say more - three things that are difficult to come by in a city that has so many options. My pal told me about this place but was not sure it was any good since he use to frequent it years ago when he lived in NY. We were visiting for my art exhibit. On a chance we... read more

The staff and management here really need to learn how to deal with customers. They are unprofessional and blatantly un-courteous. I would never set foot in this restaurant ever again.

Love Il Buco - reminds me why I live in NYC and why there's no better city in the world for foodies :) Definitely get the Kale salad and any of their pasta.

One of the more egregious sins of a chef are over/under-cooking, and on the evening of our recent dinner, regrettably, both occurred. Our pulpo appetizers were incinerated, while our steelhead trout entrees were shockingly 75+% raw. We also shared, with our appetizers, the ink squid past with crab and the preparer nailed this one which suggests that the talent is... More

The atmosphere at Il Buco is rustic and Tuscan - very romantic and cozy. The service is impeccable. It was recommended for our anniversary and did not disappoint. Having traveled frequently to Italy - I found the food to be authentic - exceptionally prepared from appetizer to dessert. They have a lovely wine list as well. For us, it is... More

I'm becoming more and more disappointed with this restaurant. I've been coming here for at least 14 years. Even though the ambiance is lovely and the service is generally good, the food is erratic. Last night the bread was like cardboard. Risotto with pears and gorgonzola looked and tasted like it had been sitting under heat lamps for way too... More

We a really pleasent evening at the Il Buco. When you enter the restaurant, it gives you the feeling of entering a restaurant in Italy. The waitress we had, had an outstanding know-how of the food and the drinks. I was surprised to find lardo on the menue. It's hard to find but so much tast! The pasta with pork... More

A dedicated foodie and long time traveller and out of everywhere I've eaten in the world this place hits in the top ten. Really can't say enough good things about it, constantly amazing, whether your visiting NY or a long time resident, Il Buco is a safe choice.

If you're in the Noho area this is a top spot to meet friends. The coffee is definitely of a better quality than most places. We had the really excellent avocado and eggs on toast, plus the baked eggs. To be recommended.
