Great Food - Terrific Spot!

Great food and wine! Non touristy place. A bit loud for deep conversation - but charming and authentic. Hard to get a reservation so book early or persistent. Shout out to Bot in reservations for getting us in after 4 calls....:) Good service and very accommodating. Would go back anytime I... read more

I brought a friend who isn't from the city here because I love this place. The service and food are always great and this would basically be a neighborhood spot if it wasn't so popular with the world:). We arrived - had to wait a few minutes, were offered bar seating or table seating, tried some light summer wines at... More

We stopped in at the recommendation of a New York friend. Reservations are a must as it looked to be filling up not long after we arrived and we ate early starting at 5:30. Appetizers were sautéed arichokes and then baby chicken and lasagnette for dinner. Nice atmosphere reminicscent of old Tuscany. I peaked downstairs at the wine cellar room... More

We visited the place twice in two weeks. It was just addicting and I just had to eat here over and over until the last day before we had to fly back home. This will be an all time favourite. Food (kale salad, fish, salted caramel ice cream etc) and service was beyond excellent. The place had had a rustic... More

From the fresh bread, pasta and right down to the desserts, this place is delicious. One of my all time favorites in NYC. Tough to get a reservation though so plan ahead!

A non-touristic restaurant, excellent place to be at and enjoy a well deserved dinner. Great atmosphere, probably a bit loud but that's the spirit.

Last year I was married here at Il Buco. My husband and I did a full restaurant buy out. The staff are incredible, and the owner lives above the restaurant, so you can imagine the attention she gives to the space. The street is very quiet. Very little traffic on the cobblestones outside. When you walk through the doors there... More

I have eaten here on several occasions as part of a group and was always very impressed. So when travelling to NYC with a few friends recently, I just had to bring them here. I shouldn't have bothered! There were several issues on the night (space, serving staff....), all of which I could overlook had the food been good. But... More

We were recommended to this restaurant by the hotel and I am so glad we took their advise. It was a little noisy but apart from that the atmosphere and the food were excellent. The only thing I would say about NYC is the wine is extremely expensive compared to England. I must say the staff were excellent and made... More
