With a friend, I visited Il Buco on a busy evening when the restaurant was full. We came in without reservations but rather than just turning us away, they were very kind and managed to accommodate us at the mezzanine bar. It was perfect, we were able to converse easily and the food was delicious and well prepared. I liked... More

Walk into a bit of country. From the minute you step into this delightful space you will be tantalized. From the unusual drinks to the most delicious and fresh ingredients used. The soups are fabulous, the pastas will make you swoon and the main dishes are all excellent. What a fabulous experience!!! Enjoy

Warm local restaurant right on Bond Street. They have a limited menu (about 4 pastas and a couple proteins, along with a good selection of appetizers), but it changes daily so there is always something unique to try. The pastas were very fresh with great layers of flavor. Really nice wine list. Our young Argentinian server Frederico was really good.

We ate at Il Buco this weekend for an engagement party. The group was fairly large and the restaurant handled the table well. The meal was wonderful. There were tapas-style appetizers to share that included a tartare of bison, prawns in sea salt, roasted octopus, deep fried artichokes, etc. The entrees were equally good. I enjoyed the porchetta, that was... More

You walk in the place and feel like you are really in Italy, so you build a lot of expectations, but then disappointment comes when you start eating. The food was average, and expensive. The place is packed because the place is very cute and a lot of people from the area go there. For me the Risotto is always... More

Need I say more - three things that are difficult to come by in a city that has so many options. My pal told me about this place but was not sure it was any good since he use to frequent it years ago when he lived in NY. We were visiting for my art exhibit. On a chance we... More

The staff and management here really need to learn how to deal with customers. They are unprofessional and blatantly un-courteous. I would never set foot in this restaurant ever again.

Love Il Buco - reminds me why I live in NYC and why there's no better city in the world for foodies :) Definitely get the Kale salad and any of their pasta.

One of the more egregious sins of a chef are over/under-cooking, and on the evening of our recent dinner, regrettably, both occurred. Our pulpo appetizers were incinerated, while our steelhead trout entrees were shockingly 75+% raw. We also shared, with our appetizers, the ink squid past with crab and the preparer nailed this one which suggests that the talent is... More
