I've been going to Spain since my parents first took me there in -- what??? -- 1969. I live in South Florida now, so I only get an opportunity to eat here once in a blue moon these days. I'm firmly on the side of the people who say, "What are you getting all worked up about?" The place is... More

I have been here 3x this year, and I am looking forward to my fourth visit! Old school charm, great food and excellent value. I simply love it!

Spain has been in business more than 50 years. Here 'a why they have been successful. They serve delicious Spanish style cuisine and plenty of it. We sat down and immediately they gave us fresh bread, mussels with cerviche, fried chorizo, and a salad. We ordered four dishes for four people, which turned out to be too much. We had... More

This restaurant has been around for 40 plus years and it shows. The restaurant is very tired looking. The food is OK. The tapas that they give you before your food is the best thing you can eat there. Do not think I would eat there again.

I have been invited to dine here for years, I finally had the pleasure over the weekend. To sum it up, I had an outstanding meal. Apps arrive along with bread the moment you are seated. Good variety, the chorizo and mini lamb chops stood out. The Paella Valenciana was simply OUTSTANDING! Large portion with generous amount of seafood. The... More

A good friend was in town over the weekend and invited me to dinner. When I found out I was dining at Spain I was really excited. I have another friend, and Spain is her go to resturant. Some how I never did make it there until the other night. Well let me tell you it did not disappoint! When... More

Went there while on a business trip, was traveling with a coworker who said hes been going there for years. If I was traveling alone and passed by the place I probably wouldn't have went in there. The view of the place wasn't that attractive. I can say however I will go back again if I'm in the area. The... More

We have not been back to this restaurant in many years. We were there last night July 19th and while the food is still very good and I gave the very good rating because of the food only I feel that this restaurant needs a total overhaul from the entrance to the back dining room. I suppose they have not... More

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
