We came here after so many times we passed by any saw that the place is always busy so we wanted to see what's the buzz is all about. The food was below average, service on the edge of rude and the prices... Oy vey... The feel was of a complete rip off. There are so many better Italian places... More

Excellent, authentic Italian food! We had the Burratta, Shrimps in Tomato Sauce, Tagliatelle Bolognese (a must) and another red sauce pasta with artichokes (I can't remember it's name). Service was not so good. That's why it's not a 5/5 review. The place is small, warm, loud and full of Italians.

This very casual, cash only restaurant is not a place for a leisurely dinner. It is small and crowded, especially in winter when there is no outside seating. That said, the food is very good and the service is brusque but efficient. Waiters have a hard time juggling the plates between tables and waiting customers, They do not accept reservations.

If this review was for the buratta... It would be a five star review. This was the highlight of the meal by far, but the rest of the meal left a lot to be desired. The waiter seem disinterested and didnt explain any of the meals on the blackboard until we asked (despite offering full explainations to the table of... More

Definitely the food is not bad, but could be better. Bad service. Great location, to drink something and chat with friends is good enough.

Here for a girls weekend. Looking for a nice, leisurely dinner. We picked the wrong place!!! The food was good, but over-priced considering the rude staff!!!!! They made it very obvious once you ate you need to leave - even taking 1/2 filled wine glass. Due to this rude behavior from all staff would not recommend this restaurant ever!!!

I typically go to Bar Pitti every 6 months or so when I visit Manhattan - for the last 6 years. Last weekend I was running the NYC Marathon and wanted a good pasta meal the night before the race so we planned on Bar Pitti. We arrived at 6PM, just after opening and it was already full - I... More

A cash-only operation, this is Florentine cuisine at its most authentic, down to the olive oil unobtainable in the US but imported by the restaurant owner from a Tuscan nobleman he grew up with (not making this up). The wine selection likewise reflects the owner's local favorites. You're as likely to be seated next to a New York-based Italian, homesick... More

An Italian place, with a small menu and a chalkboard of specials larger than the laminated menu. Beer selection is abysmal, and way overpriced. I know it's Manhattan, so I draw the line where a bottle costs you what you'd pay for a six-pack for the same at a bodega. This was way over that. Bodegas also have cats. They... More
