This restaurant was recommended by a fee different friends and so we decided to try it on our last night of NYC food fest. And what a disappointment! The place is very nice, and right in the Meatpacking District, but that's just about the only good thing there... Unfortunately the food was average, nothing too we special, service was slow... More

For all you masochists out there this is the 'in place'. We trucked up there last night [Sunday] even though we hadn't booked. That wasnt a worry because we were prepared to wait. My goodness the front desk experience was a shock to the system - you are just not used to it in NYC. For me the first rule... More

We dined at the Spice Market last night as part of a group of ten celebrating a birthday. If your party is over 8 people and you call far enough in advance you get a special "private" table in a room off to the side. The atmosphere was fantastic and super fun, very eclectic, made you feel like you were... More

Have to say the positives are we had very good service and a great table in a fun atmosphere but every dish ordered in our party of 10 had the same problem; less seasoning is more! Every item was overwhelming with too much flavoring/seasoning I find that when you cannot tell the difference between shrimp, beef and chicken because the... More

Both the food and the atmosphere in this place are incredible. Really worth going there, drink a delicious cocktail and start with enjoying the spicy nuts (pepernoten upspiced as we say in Dutch).

The tasting menu sure looked promising and creative but with every plate that I have got disappoint grew bigger. Nothing. Was really that good even though the chef really tried hard. The good new is that nothing was bad. Everything was just right but I had higher expectations

First off, the restaurant is very cool and I love the area. I would say that the food was very good, but I think other John Georges restaurants are better. It's good, but not to die for....

Loved our visit here, a special one for our 10th anniversary. Do the tasting menu... Try the special ginger cocktail. Trendy but not pretentious.
