Lovely flavours, lovely decor

Situated in the heart of the meat packing district the restaurant is beautifully decorated on 2 floors with very clever lightning for special effects. That same lightning can be less useful when it comes to scanning their menu pending on where you are seated but this is beyond the point. The dishes... read more

We visited the Spice Market before and the service was never that great. This time though it was exceptional. We truly enjoyed the tasting menu and would certainly recommend the wine pairings with it to enhance the experience. Pricing is moderate for NYC standards yet the quality makes certainly up for that. Well worth the experience if you are in... More

Excellent food. My wife and I went for Saturday brunch. The staff was very nice. The restaurant was quaint and nice decorated. Loved the uniforms for the wait staff. It was a little pricey. Would visit again but want to go for dinner!

Great ambiance in this 'cool', good value restaurant. Mananger was very accomodating to our needs and even give us a complimentary dessert for my partner's birthday. The food as excellent, full of flavour and spice. A must try if travelling to New York.

I love this restaurant: good food, wonderful setting, right in the heart of the Meatpacking District. BUT ... I went there on July 11 with my wife. We waited for 90 minutes instead of the 50 minutes announced, and were not given one of the tables we asked for (outside or near a open window). Much worse: the check was... More

This was probably the biggest disappointment of our New York trip. The food was average with the only good dish being the samosas. Julia our waitress was friendly until we complained about the curry being salty. Her comment was " but you are eating it" . We didn't want any freebies by just someone to hear our angst. The got... Great food, service and ambience. Recommend the Spicy chicken wings, Vietnamese Curry. Black pepper shrimp was just ok.

Stopped by on a Saturday for lunch with friends. The menu offers lots of intriguing choices and the food didn't disappoint. The cocktails were delicious and very creative also. Be sure to go downstairs to check out the décor.

I visited today this restaurant and was very disappointed.I order a veggie roasted green curry.and rice and the taste of the green curry was blend. Plus the place atmosphere was too warm inside and service was slow. Waited almost half an hour for desert at the end. I would think twice before going here.

Very good food. Went during restaurant week but decided to order off the other menu. Everything was spiced well. but not too much. Glad I made it here finally!

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
