We were a party of eight celebrating my daughter's 21st and it was the perfect place for a celebration. It's a big place in the Meat Packing district and doesn't look much from the outside. Inside, however, the décor and ambience are very Asian and atmospheric. We had the tasting menu (9 courses), including one vegetarian, and that proved perfect... More

Several dishes and all were very tasteful. The service was very pleasant. Good for larger groups. The area is one of my favorites.

SO we go here a LOT, finally write something. This is one of our favourite restaurants in NYC The food is consistently excellent. This time we took guests a long they loved the food. I would recommend the samosas and the meat skewers for main the duck and the steak they are the best. I have been here about 20... More

We were a group of four having dinner, we had booked a table in advance, which showed to be a good thing as the place was completely full later in the evening. We had the 9-course tasting menu with wine pairing. The food was excellent! And it was definitely enough even though the courses were all quite small. Fortunately they... More

firstly! let me just say every single bit of food from start to finish was DELICIOUS. Loved it. The service however, was a bit trying. Nothing to do with our waitress, she was great, but obviously slammed. This place is so popular it's always packed and I'm sure the kitchen staff are crazed as well. We wanted to do the... More

Our first visit to the Spice Market some years ago was an amazing experience. We were in awe of the beautiful room, the cool vibe of the space and people in it, the funky wait staff uniform and the super service and superlative food. Since this visit we have recommended the Spice Market to several friends and returned for lunch... More

We were delighted from start to finish. Decor and atmosphere out of this world. Drink the ginger margarita or something from the outstanding wine list. Shrimp appetizer was spicy and yummy. I don't recall the specific names of the dishes we tried but there was duck, chicken and cod. Ginger rice was great.

We arrived on time for our reservation for a meal to celebrate a special birthday and were very rudely told to take a seat in the bar by the surly reception staff. After a ten minute wait we went back to the reception to politely enquire about our table and were dismissively told that we'd be told when they were... More

Very charming staff! The many dishes of the menu we chose came a bit too quick, but they were very, very good!

Really great food, but they are pushing family style at huge tables while at the same time bringing small plates that are tapas style. It is hard to manage. Let people order for their individual orders, or increase the portion size to share for large parties.
