Description: Highlighted in the national and local press, Spice Market, on the corner...
Highlighted in the national and local press, Spice Market, on the corner of 9th Avenue, is inspired by the street food that Jean-Georges Vongerichten enjoyed while traveling in Asia. Authentically uplifted versions of flavourful street foods are served family-style, with dishes arriving continuously throughout the meal for all to share. Spice Market also offers corporate and social dining for large groups in the restaurant, lounge, and intimate, semi-private alcove rooms.

Interesting Asian Fusion concept

Food was great . Inspired by Asian street food concepts . Some amazing combinations of flavours and the signature Ginger Margarita is fabulous . Had the vegetarian tasting menu which I'd highly recommend . Ate early evening so the huge restaurant wasn't overly busy and perhaps that's why the food... read more

Delicious food and drink in a crowded fun west village atmosphere! My niece loves in Brooklyn and suggested this restaurant. The presentation of the food was great and we really enjoyed our dinner. Not a quiet place to relax, but quite the experience for some mid westerners!

We were recommended spice market by our hotel and was not disappointed. Great design, location and service. Food was great and can definitely recommend the cocktails! It was my fiancé's birthday and received a nice surprise dessert as well.

This place get a 5star because of the way it is done up. Located in the heart of the meat packing district this place serves good drinks which is common in NYC but also serves good food.

Went here on our last night in NY. We told our concierge we were looking for something trendy with great food which would be a great end on our last night in the city - we were not disappointed. We walked in and the place was buzzing. Asian feel, nicely lit, great music creating a really upbeat vibe. Our server... More

I went to Spice Market having never heard of it before. We had a blast! We were seated in one of the separate rooms, which had a U-shaped seating with lots of pillows. We only had some appetizers and drinks, but the food was awesome and we had a great time!

Visited Spice Market after 5 year break. Food is as good as it was, but the staff is clearly spoiled with the reputation the restaurant has gained those days... You wait 30 minutes for a soya sauce, ask for tea at the start of your dinner and never get that. The waitress' service was so bad, I just cant describe.... More

My mom recently visited Thailand so when we made a date to take a walk on the Highline I looked for a restaurant that she would like. If you are not familiar with the Highline do a search and if you have a chance to visit its well worth the walk. The Highline ends/begins in the Meat Packing District so... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
