If you want Asian/Indian cuisine by Jean Georges in an atmosphere of a true "spice market" with entertainment (the diners!!) better than a Broadway show, this is the place for you. We had the Chefs Menu with wine pairings. I would probably opt NOT to do that next time, as it has limitations. However, the food was excellent and the... More

Six visits to Spice Market, and I was never disappointed here. Sharing as many small dishes is always the best option. You do wait for a table too long, and the service is slower when you want it to be fast and too fast when you want some quiet and time, but yet, it is a fantastic restaurant you shouldn't... More

The duck was the best I have ever eaten. Appetizers were large enough to share. The service was great but they did not hover. The decor was very unusual with lots of carved wood.

Food had good flavor, however both meals were over cooked. Service was slow (late night) several of the drinks we ordered were charged double. The manager was pretentious and condescending when I asked him about the mistake; however he did correct the bill, but not at all gracious about it.

We went with chef menu and wine pairing but it was just too much for both the women and the men. The food was amazing but it wasn't enjoyable by the end and we were just having a bite or two and sending it along. We asked to keep the menu at our table as food was bring dropped off... More

Unlike some NYC restaurants that you would travel miles for, this is a good restaurant, a lovely vibe and has good service, but not one I would make an effort to go back to. Some dishes were great ie the pork buns, however the ribs were too rich and the salad to acidic.

Visited for lunch and ended up ordering from the fixed price brunch menu. Service was impeccable, as always, and the decor is lovely. Have had stellar, authentic food here several times. Perhaps our selections were not the best, but we felt the dishes we ordered were a bit too rich. The short-rib nasi goreng, in particular, was a bit too... More

We were excited to try the restaurant after hearing & reading such favorable reviews. Restaurant was packed on a Friday night but staff were attentive & professional. Cocktails were different & enjoyable. For the appetizers, the pork buns were super, tasty & visually appealing. The lobster summer roll however was pretty tasteless. The most overwhelming part of it was the... More

Everytime I go to NYC I try to go to the Spice Market. What a great experience from the decor to the Asian influence food.I must say that the next time I will stick to appetizers which are great. The curry was excellent but the lobster main course was not up to standard. The service, for such a large restaurant, was excellent.
