Description: Only at SUSHISAMBA will you find a unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine, music and design. Inspired by early 20th century interactions in South America between these cultures, SUSHISAMBA serves traditional dishes, plus more inventive fare. Hearty moquecas and colorful seviches have found a place at the table alongside simple miso soup and tender sashimi. Innovative creations such as Sashimi Seviche, Tuna Tataki and our South American Beef Maki Roll are also on the menu, as are our creative signature cocktails.

Innovative and delicious. The menu may be a bit confusing (most people don't have a lot of experience at a Brazilian sushi house) at first but just ask the waitstaff and they'll help you. If I looked at the menu I might think there's nothing I want to eat here but every single item is delicious. Start with the El... More

Wonderful meal at Sushi Samba on a cold Friday night - here for a birthday weekend so wanted great food and atmosphere. Found both here in the West Village. Sushi fresh and delicious and great cocktails and wine .. Good service in a busy restaurant - and we even got personally shown to the nearest subway station to help us... More

The food, oh, the food! To put it simply, it lived up to the hype. The coconut milk ceviche was interesting and very tasty. We also enjoyed the tuna tatami, churrasco and rock shrimp. The service was good, but not excellent. Our server could've been more present. We had to flag down other staff down to get attention once or... More

We frequently visit the London branch of Sushisamba and have always had exceptional food and service so were very excited to visit another branch. However coming to the New York branch all we experienced was rude staff with terrible customer service, poor quality food and awful atmosphere. Our food was forgotten by the chefs while other tables were being tended to... More

I was attracted to eat here because when I did the Sex and the City bus tour in 2013, we were informed that the scene where Samantha throws her martini in Richard Wright's face was filmed here. So I made reservations for a late lunch after I arrived in NYC on Friday, November 14th. I had a hectic day trying... More

Born from Japanese immigration to South America this unique menu brings together the cusines of Japan, Peru and Brazil. Here with a tour group we were served a special tasting menu, something they will do for any size party. We had an interesting parade of dishes, including sushi, that I found delicious and fun. Service was good and all dishes... More

Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. A must try if you love sushi and unique cuisine. Try the amazing mojito special cocktails, too!

We had dinner at Sushi Samba last week for the second time. The meal was a very special treat. I have been eating sushi since 1964 when I was in Japan courtesy of the Navy. Sushi Samba provides an excellent example of high end sushi. In addition to the food being excellent, the wait staff and all concerned were at... More

yummy yummy yummy!!!! Great food, quick, friendly service, lovely decor. Food is presented very nicely and absolutely delicious. Loved the edamame appetizer. The dragon roll was supreme. Cocktail of the day was extra delicious. My new fave place for sushi!!! If you're in NYC looking for sushi, don't miss this.
