Inspired by early 20th century interactions in South America between these cultures, SUSHISAMBA serves traditional dishes, plus more inventive fare. I've been to this Sushi Samba twice now - once about two years ago with my boyfriend, and once this past weekend with a girlfriend. I'd have to say that both times were unremarkable. Luckily, this place is graced with the outdoor presence of the West Village neighborhood and trendy folks roaming around. If it weren't for the eye candy,... More

After reading some reviews, decided to go there with a friend. To atmosphere is nice, that's all. The menu is very limited and expensive. We asked if the dishes were for two people because the prices did not seem to match the description of the dishes.. the calamares was great, very tasteful, however the rolls were tastless. we were expecting... If you love sushi with a twist you have to visit this restaurant. The food is super fresh. The cocktails are yummy ( my wife's words not mine ). Also our server Francisco was very friendly, very knowledgable about the food and cocktails.

We were in town for a couple of days and some friends recommeded this place. We booked online without any trouble and we recieved great service and the food was excellent. A bit confusing menu but the staff were glad to answer any questions. Don't forget to bring tip to the toilets though, you'll see why.

We are enjoying very much London restaurant and were very excited to visit NYC local. Food was not bad, which is very far from amazing culinary experience that is waiting for you in Europe. Restaurant is nice but I would say it is more local fusion type than stunning interiors we were expecting after London experience. Desert was very good... More

My daughter is living in nyc, and wanted to take her for dinner. We couldn't get into Momoya, so decided to walk across town to Sushi Samba, as the food was meant to be good. The Sushi and Sashimi mixed plate was straight forward, the Filet Robata was as expected, but the Wagyu Gyoza, were so tough, they were in... More

Sushi is fabulous (Kobe beef sushi?!) but expensive, slowest service I've ever had there, & everything else was just sub-par this go round. Might have to find a new go-to sushi place.
