We had the risotto and tres leches cake (GF of course). Loved it. Very small and they take no reservations but we got there at 6.45 and minimal wait.

We need gluten free when dining out and this place nails it. Yet everyone will love it as risotto is naturally gluten free when there's no gluten ingredients. We had the shrimp, garlic, mozzarella, and hot pepper, the asparagus and saffron, and the mozzarella, roasted portobello and truffle oil risotto. They were all hits. They serve complimentary gluten free bread... More

This is a small and informal eatery. I had the chicken, Gorgonzola and spinach risotto which was yummy and very filling. Coffee was hot and strong; when i didn't finish mine the waitress offered me the chance to have it as a take away. A very relaxed but busy place to eat, not somewhere for an intimate dinner but terrific... More

We stopped by the Village and looked for a restaurant. Risotteria is a small quaint with NY atmosphere. It stopped there with an $5 machiatta in an expresso cup. Overpriced and poor quality. I would never recommend.

It was a wonderful experience to come here and order from a wide array of GF gnocchi, risotto, panini, etc, and sooo delicious! I came here with my tall (6'2") husband and 2 children in the winter time. We all ordered GF and everyone enjoyed the food and dessert immensely. However, my husband had a hard time 'fitting' in the... More

I couldn't wait to eat here after hearing so many good things about it. I wasn't disappointed. I ordered a garlic, parsley and slow cooked pork risotto which arrived heaped with melt in the mouth pork and the best risotto I have ever tasted. This is on top of free gluten free breadsticks and a fabulous selection of gf beers!... More

Hands down the best Gluten Free restaurant I've ever been to. Such a treat to enjoy bread, pizza, and risotto without having to worry about possible gluten contamination.

Excited by all the excellent reviews here on TripAdvisor I decided to go. I went with two friends and we were assigned a table in what is a small and fairly packed restaurant. This place feels very casual, more of a risotto cafe than restaurant. Not a problem in itself but lacks the ambiance in which you can feel completely... More

Did a lot of research on restaurants before traveling to NYC with my family which includes our 19 year old daughter who has Celiac Disease. Eating out is such a struggle on top of being stressful when dealing with CD. We were pleased to find so many reviews on Risoterria and what a wonderful gluten free restaurant it was. We... More

Accidentally came upon this restaurant. Best gluten free pizza base I have ever had. I was told by my partner in the crime that it was the closest to a "real" that he has ever tasted! Got the pizzette (4 slices) and it was delicious. A major plus was the gluten free breadsticks that came at the beginning of the... More

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
