Not good if you can't even make your signature dish great. Lamb shank risotto dish tasted like the lamb was previously cooked and just added. Flavors did not meld. Husband's penne was over cooked and the bolognese sauce was weak and tasteless .

I came in with a friend for a late-night pizza break. The service was quick and friendly. We just had pizza and beer so I can't really comment on all the food. The pizza was good, but... i didn't like the pizza dough/crust. The pizza (btw, we didn't have the glutel-free versions) dough was very crisp, almost cookie/flatbread/breadstick-like. I like... This restaurant is in a lively area in nyc. The service was great and we enjoyed the best risottos ever tasted. Definitely worth going out your way for.

Charming corner cafe/restaurant with fast staff. Small seating area with pull out tables. Menu is split in to glutenfree and glutenfilled versions of almost each dish. Food is good - tried pizza and sandwich. Go for a simple pizza, as the one we had with sausage, olives, peppers and cheese might have been a little to much to handle for... More

Stopped in with family (daughter with Celiac) and was immediately impressed by the friendliness and depth of GF choices. The GF breadsticks were as good as any gluten full breadsticks. Restaurant is a bit small with limited seating so no reservations and first come first serve. We all had different risottos which were all fantastic - smooth, creamy but still... More

My husband and I enjoyed a long weekend in New York recently. We stayed at the NYLO and explored nearby for a late lunch upon arrival. We chanced upon Risotteria and it was a delicious find! They offer a gluten-free menu for anyone looking for that. I had their shrimp, mozzarella and oven dried tomato risotto and it was perfect!... More

If you can get a seat, by all means go in ... excellent food with that Italian spirit of service - agreeable but a tiny bit of attitude - so Italian and none of the waiters were, lol! But oh my food was delicious - a feeling felt by the other three friends at my table. I had a pizza... More

My third visit to NYC, and every time, I drag along my travel companions to Risotteria. And it never disappoints! As a celiac, it's so good to feel "normal" - gf breadsticks on the table, all the mains are gf, and those desserts...! We both chose the lasagne, which came with a side salad, very nice, then shared a piece... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
