great gluten free restaurant

if you want risotto, then this is the place. they have over 10 kinds, and you can select your own ingredients to make unique versions. It is a small place so go early to get a table.

This is a simple restaurant with very tasty, inexpensive food and most of the food and beer is Gluten free. What a discovery, as my wife is gluten intolerant and we struggle to find much choice in most restaurants. Very friendly service too.

As lovers of risotto, my husband and I were delighted to find a restaurant dedicated to serving risotto and other Italian delicacies gluten free. Risotteria is on Bleeker street in the West Village, an area full of quirky and fun vintage and boutique shops. Being outside the touristy areas, it was a refreshing change to visit. With a plethora of... More

My daughter (21), my sister (46) and I (51) travelled together to Manhattan last Easter. We stayed in Upper East Side and visited different parts of the city during our stay. Green Village was one of our favourite places and we soon discovered Risotteria and planned to drop in an early afternoon. We were lucky to get a table because... More

Highly recommend this place for anyone with Celiac - the breadsticks alone are reason to go....they are made in-house and absolutely delicious! Yes, they are like the ones at Olive Garden but much more delicious. We tried the GF lasagna, cheese risotto and pizza, and a GF Strawberry beer - all were delicious. Salads were also wonderful. Lauren, the hostess,... More

My sister and I went to NYC w/our mom and her husband and kids. She is Gluten Intolerant, so I found this place and figured it would make for a good lunch for her. The dining area is VERY small, I'd say about 20-30 seats at most, so be prepared to wait if you get there during a busy time.... More

Most resturants in New York had very limited options for glutenfree food. This resturant was amazing, I could eat almost everthing on the menu. Best glutenfree pizza I ever had.

This is possibly the best gluten free restaurant ever! Please come to the UK or ship to us at least! Since being diagnosed with coeliac disease, dining options gave been limited but this meal was fantastic. The breadsticks were great! Meatballs and ragu amazing and the carrot cake was out if this worked. I even took a cupcake home as... More

One of the best gluten free meals I have ever had! Risotteria is a must for anyone that's gluten free and in New York. Amazing breadsticks to start and a fantastic pizza for my main course. I visited with a non gluten free person and they had an equally great meal. Such a fantastic choice of both food and beers.... More

Although there are non GF options, virtually everything is available GF. For once, it's the bulk of the menu and not just a little corner of choices like most restaurants. And it's DELICIOUS!! The breadsticks are a-mazing!!! Have been back many times and have not been disappointed. A true GF dream come true!

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
