Excellent french toast

went here for breakfast, Not cheap but the whole buzz of the restaurant as well as the quality of the food and service made it a good treat. You would not be going here every day but as a once off it is good. They do great lunch and dinners as well.

I do remember "Sex and the City" that girls were queuing up for Balthazar!! The restaurant looks lovely, waiters are attentive. My friend orders duck which was quite tasty while my lamb was bit over cooked. But maybe it was me, I asked for a well done one. It was bit overpriced, while I know I paid for what I experienced... This restaurant looks like a gorgeous old Parisian restaurant. My duck rillettes were the best duck of any kind I have ever eaten cooked with wonderful mushrooms. My wife's mushroom tart was great. The prices were reasonable for New York, given the quality. It is so crowded for the two person tables against the wall that it made for a bad... More

Very cool environment. Nice food. A little overpriced but you get what you pay. Really good to taste NYC as a New Yorker

This NYC standard is always a pleasure. Parisian in style and attitude, it's fast and loud but it works. Great fresh onion soup. Also to note the bakery next door has stellar bread.

We ate here tonight 6/2/16. Our group was a European family together for 4 days. We booked Balthazar weeks ahead in the expectation that it was top class. We were all (9) disappointed by the rushed approach; over filling of water glass every 5 mins; dinner plate removal with last fork full in mouth; the cold air(coats over knees required).... More

I'd been recommended to go here by at least 5 different people before I left on my trip, so I had fairly high expectations. The duck was delicious and a very generous portion, and my partner's steak frites were fantastic. Definitely on the expensive side with the current exchange rate to AUD but well worth it.

Stopped into to the takeout bakery part with my family my son in law ended up buying an entire cheesecake. My waist wishes he hadn't but my mouth was quite happy. Now we need to go back and try the bistro. On the list for next trip.

What a delightful restaurant with the most helpful staff. We had a great evening here, the staff and atmosphere make it a very enjoyable place to spend the evening. The menu has a great selection and the specials are worth considering. The staff moved our table as they noticed the children behind us kept playing around us and that was... More
