Great neighbourhood gem

This restaurant is unassuming but a great find in the Village. It has a relaxed feel and the food is great, the prices are good too.

Good wholesome food but nothing special. Had the Sangiovese and it was what you'd expect for a house wine, light and uninteresting. Had appetizer of asparagus, prosciutto, and ricotta bufalo. Asparagus were steamed, prosciutto was good, ricotta was small and undressed. Pastas were tagliatelle with country meat sauce, tasty but way over-dressed. The other was a pasta with eggplant and... *house-made pastas only. *daily specials to change it up for frequent customers like me... *no liquor license, so be prepared to drink house wine. It's good though *romantic atmosphere -nice and dark, with lit candles at every table. *I brought a group of 25 to this restaurant a few years back, and Piadina orchestrated the dinner beautifully. I was so... More

Piadina is definitely a neighborhood gem. When I saw the restaurant as I was heading down west 10th I felt like i was in Italy. I tried the piadina bread with mozzarella and tomatoes which was average and basically tasked like a quesedilla. The chicken with broccoli rabe was good though not as flavorful as it could have been with... More

Enjoyed a very simple meal at this quaint little place. Not a very extensive menu but has something for everyone. Everyone in our party was pleased with our choices. They offer a few specials for the night. Price is pretty average. They let us enjoy our time, didn't feel rushed. Parties over 6 they add 20% gratuity and they accept... More

Piadina has a very nice feel with exposed brick walls and a grotto type of ambiance. Unfortunately, the food was just average. It confirms the adage "you get what you pay for". The bread is always the first indicator of how the meal will be. In this case, it was mediocre just like the somewhat tasty, yet over sauced pasta... More

This tiny place packs a lot of punch with their food - I especially love the homemade pasta with meat sauce - so simple, and so delicious. Last time I was there I had the orichette with sausage crumbles and broccoli rabbe - I was a little disappointed as I thought the dish could have been a bit more flavorful... More

Piadina is a great, unpretentious neighborhood Italian. The pasta is always fresh and delicious, and the service friendly. I’ve never had a bad dish here, and the specials are real stand-outs. The space is fairly intimate, so it’s good for a romantic dinner, but sometimes it does get a bit crowded or noisy, and in those cases the service slows... More

This little hidden gem on 10th off 6th has been one our favorites from the first time we stepped down the stairs into the quiet rustic dining room--it's like a place you find in a side street in Italy. Food, service, ambiance and incredibly reasonable prices all give a dining experience you'll want to repeat. Not "fancy" and not "American... More

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
