Cool Restaurant

Have heard many conflicting things about TriBeCa Grill so we had to discover for ourselves. The restaurant itself is very cool, very hip! The food was good, but nothing extraordinary. The beet salad was just okay and my salmon mediocre, at best. The wine list is great, as are the cocktails!

We were shopping in Tribeca and decided to try this restaurant since it was rated high on other sites. I'm a vegetarian, so I had the ceasar salad, and so did my daughters. The salad with no meat was $15 it was one of the worst one's I've had. My husband had the Octopus Salad and liked it. To me,... More

Been wanting to go here since it was built. Well that was a long time ago and we were totally disappointed my swordfish with the crust was salty. My husbands salmon tasteless. Our friends chicken was the best choice of the night. Dessert was very good thought. Especially the key lime cheesecake.

We had made reservations in advance and did not regret it. The service was excellent and the New York steak is brilliant! I also recommend the duck, it was absolutely delicious!

Walked into TriBeCa grill expecting a little more "pzaz". Despite the overly low key atmosphere and decor my pirogies and duck were excellent. Very friendly staff, great drinks. Probably would visit somewhere else before returning, but I suggest you check it out for yourself if you're considering it.

The restaurant is downtown Manhattan and in a area with a lot of exiting places. Tribeca Grill is a perfect place to have a burger and informal dinner. Its very cool people that work there and the drinks is splendid. I had the house hamburger and it was very tasteful and came with crisp fries. They say that Robert De... More

I was pleased with our visit to celebrate my wife's birthday. Service was good, Cocktails were great, awesome wine list (therefore, a great wine selection), Short-Rib Perogie appetizer was outstanding, the Baby Beet salad tasty (although it would be much better with fresh dollops of goat cheese (instead of dried). My wife had the swordfish, which was good, but average.... More

Was ambivalent about trying this place out. My friend wanted to go since it's co-owned by Robert DeNiro. My thoughts were that it was either gonna be amazing or disappointing. It never occurred to me that it could be just average, which is what it unfortunately turned out to be. I'm convinced this place was once innovative and served really... More

An evening at Tribeca Grill worked well for us after a day of WTC sightseeing (ages from 73 to 9). My son and I enjoyed a fabulous adult meals (salmon and raviolli) and 3 kids behaved well (thank goodness) and found something they liked. Good learning experience for kids and service was excellent for all of us. Atmosphere very relaxing... More

Came hear with high expectations and should have known after walking in that it wasn't going to be. The ambience - well, there was none. Three quarters of the restaurant was empty, service was just ok. I hate to think when it is busy how the staff will cope. My family ordered beef fillet which was good but nothing amazing,... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
