Great food with a nice atmosphere.

This was a very good restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The food was delicious and the menu had a good selection. It was not inexpensive, I would consider it fine dining. the portions were not large but enough.

I came here for a NYC restaurant week lunch and had a confirmed reservation. I've eaten here for lunch a few times over the years, and it's usually pretty sedate (i.e. empty). I thought I'd bring a friend to sample the place for restaurant week. We arrived at the allotted time and it was like the Amtrak lounge at Penn... More

Had a great dinner there, very nice waitresses and amazing food. a bit pricey but totally worth it. Try the misu cod and the New York strip stake. They also have a wide range of wine

Very charming restaurant with a fun vibe. Very busy, but not too loud. The waiter was wonderful and make excellent recommendations on wine and menu options. We enjoyed the lamb and the steak.

Gotham Bar and Grill was by far the best place we eat while in NYC. We took a principle here for dinner on Saturday night based on a friends recommendation and wow, this place was awesome. Service, food quality and ambience was just perfect for the occasion.

The food was very good and the service and atmosphere were excellent. Came for dinner on an uncrowded weeknight during restaurant week (they only participate for lunch, so we expected it to be uncrowded). I had the lobster/short rib dinner with a beet salad appetizer. Both were very good, however, for over $100 pp we expected the food to "wow"... More

I went to lunch with my friend Julia-invited out for my birthday and I was thrilled since I had never been there before. We actually went for their Restaurant Week menu and it was delightful. The curry pumpkin soup was fabulous and the main course of Halibut was cooked to perfection. Their signature dessert of flourless chocolate cake was a... More

Just returned to the Gotham Bar & Grill after an almost 10 year absence. I had forgotten what a fabulous restaurant this is. The service was outstanding from the coat check, to the reception, to our waiter. But, more importantly, the food was fantastic. My wife and I had the best and freshest oysters we have ever had (how do... More

Now THIS is what I expect from a New York dining experience. First, I loved the fact the maitre d' ASKED us if we preferred an out of the way table or one more in the middle of everything, rather than just seating us at the table most convenient for them as is the case in Dallas, where I live....
