The headline of this review is $360 dinner for 2 for 3 courses including service only drinking wine by the glass. Everything was really good but in the end wasn't worth the price tag. Portions are small and they want you to have 4 courses. Service is almost too much and it felt like you were being watched at times.... More

Even though we only had a one night layover, and it was way out at Newark airport, we decided to make the long trip in to the city, as we hadn't been to Gotham in years. We are so happy we went! The room is bustling with foodies and families gathered to celebrate this top notch menu. We were seated... More

I took my partner here for her 30th birthday whilst in New York. The food was amazing. I had the lamb for my main, it was perfectly cooked and seasoned, must have been some of the best lamb I have had! The staff were very good in recommending meals and looking after us. I had informed the restaurant upon reservation... More

Went with the famil of eightfor lunch in January. There were eight of us including three children. Our waitress was fantastic and very thoughtful. She took fantastic care of everybody. As always the food was memorable. The kale salad was the star for me.(I took myself to Eataly in search of Marcona almonds to take back to the UK) .Veal pappardelle was highly praised... More

After reading reviews on the internet regarding this restaurant we were anticipating an awesome meal. We were greeted promptly and as our table was not ready yet we were directed to the bar where we ordered a bottle of wine which was pretty good. Once we arrived at our table we were given menus and bread service. We both ordered... More

I love it when you read the menu ahead of time, figure out there are five or six entrees you want to try, then change your mind completely when your order is being taken. So many quality choices, great appetizers and yummy desserts! The service was top notch! Go there and enjoy yourself!

We wanted a special place for dinner during our visit to NYC and we were so glad we picked Gotham Bar & Grill. It had a reputation for its 'tall' creations but we were more bowled over by the wonderful food, service and atmosphere. It was expensive but worth what we'd paid for. Highly recommended.

Came mid week, hard to get reservation but worth every effort. Great service excellent food. The fish was superb. Asked the waiter for not too expensive wine, and he found great one with a smile. Highly recommended.

My brother and sister in law made a reservation for us at the restaurant and had the check sent to them, so it was a double treat as we did not have to pay! The decoration is lovely. We were welcomed warmly and sat at a reasonable table. Not as large as some (table for 4 for 2) but I... More

This was my first visit to NYC and I quickly learned that you should look at the menu when making reservations to get a idea of how expensive (or inexpensive) your meal is going to be. Gotham's was pricey, but not the most expensive in town...and it was worth it! The atmosphere, the service and the food were all wonderful!!... More
