Description: A sultry steakhouse in New York City’s Greenwich Village where old-world...
A sultry steakhouse in New York City’s Greenwich Village where old-world glamour meets modern style and sophistication. Experience the combination of charred cuts perfectly paired with decadent sides, such as Truffle Creamed Spinach and Goose Fat Potatoes. And be sure to save room for the famed 24-Layer Chocolate Cake. Named a top steakhouse by Zagat and awarded four stars by Forbes, the namesake cut of aged beef isn't the only work of art to marvel upon...just take a look at the walls and tell us you don’t agree. Black and white vintage photos of bordello girls from the original 1900’s Studio Manasse collection reference an era of decadence and seduction. Visit our second NYC location, the new Strip House Midtown at 44th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, or on the Las Vegas Strip at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

Every bite takes your breath away!

It's a must go if you are in the city! It was packed but hey do you blame them? Incredible streaks, side dishes, and OMG their " the strip house" chocolate cake is a must no matter how full you are!

$125 per person - an "on the bone filet with an edible six ounces of meat = $50. But it was not only the size, it was not a good filet. Service was excellent but it could not make up for poorly prepared, over-priced fare. It is dark, and the result is dingy not romantic. Avoid this one.

An amazing steak house. We were seated in the lounge area which was very relaxed and beautifully decorated. Our waiter was superb, as good as we've had in New York. The lobster bisque starter was amazing. As were the roasted sea scallops. The steaks were top notch. The side orders are HUGE. The garlic and herb fries are enough for... More

Probably the best steak of my life. Very very good. Service and wine were great as well. I also enjoyed the decor. Tables did seem a little close to each other, but minor complaint. Definitely would recommend if you are looking for a great steak in New York.

Okay, so this isn't somewhere you would eat out regularly unless your budget lets you but this was a guilty pleasure on a recent trip and for once I didn't look at the prices. The interior was something you would imagine a 1950's prohibition establishment to be with dim red lighting but this didn't put us off. I was meeting... More

Perfect in every way. As the old Michelin Guide would have said: worth an extremely long detour... From the company (which -sorry- doesn't come with the table) to the creamed spinach, the bearnaise sauce, the garlic clove, the claret and the beef on the bone... This animal most certainly did not die in vain and any thoughts of turning into... More

We didn't have a dinner reservation, but instead wondered in off the street in the evening based on the posted menu. This was an amazing steak, dessert and service experience. My husband, daughter and I dine out regularly. All three of us thought that The Strip House ranked high far as steakhouse dining. We are from Texas and grew up... More

Excellent steak with perfectly sealed juices, charred on the outside, medium-rare on the inside, at the end a perfect dessert - Baked Alaska, the best dessert I ever had. The deco is a bit old-fashioned, too many photographs on the wall per my taste.

Classic steak house with classic interior and wait staff dressed in traditional garb Cocktails were perfect and the steaks were the best we have sampled in a restaurant. Expect to pay $40 plus for steaks Side orders were again classic with steak sauce offerings bearnaise ... We thought wine list very interesting however too few offerings at more moderate price... Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
